Wilde Lake Community Association houses the offices of the Village of Wilde Lake in Columbia, MD. I work at the company as the camp manager and events coordinator.

What challenge were you trying to address with Human • creative + code?

We wanted to update our outdated website and simplify the backend experience for our non-technical staff members.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Human • creative + code was contracted to renovate the front and backend of our website. They were required to reorganize our existing content, develop a more appealing web design, and modify the architecture. After reviewing our site, they gave us a few suggestions to help us manage our content; their advice covered landing pages, links, images, and home page optimization. Their team also built a user-friendly admin panel and reduced the number of plug-ins from 17 to 6.

We reached out to several local developers to gauge their interest, and Human • creative + code was quite eager to work with us. In addition to submitting a reasonable bid, they made an effort to understand our goals and explain their solution in a manner that was understandable. Our hiring decision was also influenced by their agreement to support the website post-launch.

The revamped website is significantly easier to edit and navigate. Human • creative + code exceeded our expectations.

The website required more work than we had anticipated, but Human • creative + code managed the intensive project effortlessly. Their team was responsive to our needs and accommodating to our schedule changes. We had access to their Slack, Asana, and Sketch Cloud for easy communication.
