We needed to modernize our website and build a differentiated B2B digital platform that elevates our service offering and customer experience.

Human After All has modernized our website and implemented a comprehensive B2B platform to enhance our service capabilities, customer experience, and operational efficiency. The team has successfully modernized our website architecture, implemented core B2B functionality (customer-specific pricing and catalog segmentation), standardized product data, and improved integration workflows with our ERP.

Human After All’s work has delivered measurable progress in our platform readiness, data quality, and B2B enablement. The team has reduced our manual handling, improved data consistency, and positioned our company to scale B2B clients more efficiently over the next phase.Moreover, our internal teams have given positive feedback. They report improved clarity in product data, easier navigation of the platform, and more efficient workflows for managing pricing and catalogs. They’re confident in the data accuracy and reduced friction between ERP and e-commerce processes.

How did Human After All perform from a project management standpoint?

Human After All has demonstrated strong solution-oriented project management and a high level of problem-solving capability. They consistently propose practical solutions and successfully implement complex technical requirements.However, some phases of the project have taken longer than initially planned, and their response times occasionally require additional follow-ups, which impact the overall delivery timelines. While this creates some scheduling pressure, our collaboration remains constructive and transparent, and the team ultimately resolves issues effectively.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Human After All’s technical expertise and solution-oriented mindset have been strong throughout the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their main area for improvement would be their delivery cadence and response time. While the quality of execution and solution design has been consistently strong, some deliverables have taken longer than initially expected, and certain requests have required multiple follow-ups before resolution.Improving their turnaround time, prioritization visibility, and communication cadence would help maintain the project momentum and better align timelines with our operational constraints.

What challenges were you trying to address with Human After All?

At the time, we didn’t have an e-commerce website. We had a WordPress site, but getting online orders from our customers was difficult.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Human After All has built our e-commerce website from scratch using Magento. Initially, they evaluated the project and suggested the best platform for our needs. The site allows our clients to create accounts, check price lists, and make customized orders.

Additionally, they host the website and are in charge of making changes and updates.

What was the team composition? 

We mainly work with their CEO and 3–4 team members.

How did you come to work with Human After All?

Our director of marketing at the time heard about them at a conference. We reached out to them and met up. At that point, we decided to hire them because they were compelling. They presented an e-commerce website they developed that was similar to what we wanted, and it was so great we felt we could trust them.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent between $80,000–$100,000 CAD (approximately $60,000–$75,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement? 

We started working with them in January 2020, and the development took about a year. We still collaborate with them on updates and changes to the website.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website is much more user-friendly and easy to navigate than our previous site. Moreover, the functionality and SEO have improved significantly. In the past, when we typed our company name on Google, we didn’t appear anywhere, but now we’re in the top results. We’ve also increased the orders we receive through our website, and Human After All has suggested digital marketing tools to help us.

How did Human After All perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through Zoom and Skype. The development phase was during the COVID-19 pandemic, so everything was done remotely. We also use Trello as a project management tool, and they’ve delivered everything on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication is outstanding. Moreover, Human After All understands and adapts to our market needs, which isn’t easy to do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything in mind at the moment. We have an excellent partnership.

I suggest hearing what they have to say and trusting them. They’re the specialists.
