We would've loved to have them in the office more often, but I guess we have to blame COVID.

I’m an operations manager at a car wheel distributor.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenges were you trying to address with Human After All?

At the time, we didn’t have an e-commerce website. We had a WordPress site, but getting online orders from our customers was difficult.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Human After All has built our e-commerce website from scratch using Magento. Initially, they evaluated the project and suggested the best platform for our needs. The site allows our clients to create accounts, check price lists, and make customized orders.

Additionally, they host the website and are in charge of making changes and updates.

What was the team composition? 

We mainly work with their CEO and 3–4 team members.

How did you come to work with Human After All?

Our director of marketing at the time heard about them at a conference. We reached out to them and met up. At that point, we decided to hire them because they were compelling. They presented an e-commerce website they developed that was similar to what we wanted, and it was so great we felt we could trust them.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent between $80,000–$100,000 CAD (approximately $60,000–$75,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement? 

We started working with them in January 2020, and the development took about a year. We still collaborate with them on updates and changes to the website.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website is much more user-friendly and easy to navigate than our previous site. Moreover, the functionality and SEO have improved significantly. In the past, when we typed our company name on Google, we didn’t appear anywhere, but now we’re in the top results. We’ve also increased the orders we receive through our website, and Human After All has suggested digital marketing tools to help us.

How did Human After All perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through Zoom and Skype. The development phase was during the COVID-19 pandemic, so everything was done remotely. We also use Trello as a project management tool, and they’ve delivered everything on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication is outstanding. Moreover, Human After All understands and adapts to our market needs, which isn’t easy to do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything in mind at the moment. We have an excellent partnership.

I suggest hearing what they have to say and trusting them. They’re the specialists.
