Scope of work includes developing custom software, including IoT integration, back-end, database structure and front end development. Key deliverables include resolving technical issues with previous version of the software, developing new version from scratch, deployment and support as well as on-going development of new functionalities and future releases.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The goal of the first phase of the project was to stabilize existing version of the software by resolving fundamental issues with core design and backend structure. This resulted in a number of incidents dropping to 0 over the course of a few months. Simultaneously, the vendor was developing the new version, based on provided design, and delivering in 4 major milestones on time, culminating in UAT and go-live in 4 regions, over the span of just one month and with not a single issue found during testing.

The team follows internal project management structure as well as that required by our company. All milestones were delivered on time, even with inevitable, although limited, scope creep and requirements change. The team is very flexible and understanding when it comes to dealing with changing business requirements or gaps in the design. Additionally, an analyst was assigned to communicate directly with the designer which proved invaluable to the smooth delivery and outcome of this project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their flexibility, attention to details and willingness to go above and beyond stand in contrast with the overwhelming 'this will do' attitude that plagues the industry. In a breath of fresh air, the team develops following best practices and suggests improvements even if not explicitly specified or missed in the design.

Are there any areas for improvement or something H&L Consulting could have done differently?

I cannot think of anything that could have been done differently in this particular case.

The H&L team excelled in turning our vision into a reality. The app not only met but exceeded our expectations in terms of functionality, design, and user experience. The attention to detail and the seamless integration of features were impressive.
