Our website wasn’t functioning the way we wanted because it was outdated. We needed to migrate the site and all our products to a new system.

H & CO Agency has redesigned and rebuilt our WordPress website and transferred our products to WooCommerce.They worked with us on the design elements, such as choosing the color scheme and the layout. Currently, they provide periodic updates and upgrades. They also manage our website and provide maintenance.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We're very happy with H & CO Agency's work. Our clients have been really impressed with the new migration and how easily they can navigate our website and the support services we have for them. 

How did H & CO Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via email and Google Meet. They're very responsive; I can send them a picture of an error at any time of night, and the team will address the issue and make it work. By the time I wake up, the error will be fixed. 

The team is also transparent with the budget. We had a previous provider that had a lot of hidden or unnecessary expenses, and they overcharged us for things, which is not the case with H & CO Agency. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm impressed with H & CO Agency's honesty and transparency. They don't make us spend money unnecessarily. We spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with our previous provider, and our website never worked well. Meanwhile, with H & CO Agency, if we ask for sparkling glitter on the website, they'll tell us if we don't need it; they never make up tasks just to charge us. 

Moreover, the team is patient and understanding. If something isn't registering with us, they make an effort to come in and explain it to us. H & CO Agency knows their stuff, so they know what's possible, and they're very patient in expressing themselves and clear on why some things are impossible. They understand that this isn't our forte at the end of the day; that's why they're here.

I don't have any criticism; our experience with them has been wonderful. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise being honest with H & CO Agency; tell them exactly what you want. Do some homework about what you want them to accomplish for you, and then let the team handle it. If you know your endgame, H & CO Agency can provide suggestions to improve it and implement the solution. 

Many companies let the service provider figure things out, and if it doesn't turn out how they want, they'll claim the provider didn't do what they asked. Your engagement with H & CO Agency should be a partnership and a team effort. They're website builders working for different companies, which are not all the same. If your company needs a specific set of things, you'll have to let them know to make that happen for you — it's a two-way street.

We needed a website to show who we were as a company. We had an existing profile and portfolio online, but we wanted a website for the agency because what we had no longer represented what we did and who we are.

We gave them an outline and they took over from there. They built the website using WordPress and Envato, and created custom graphics using Adobe Photoshop. They are offering maintenance and hosting for the website. 

H & CO Agency is also assisting us with our digital marketing. We are currently using Google Ads, but are working on expanding into LinkedIn and Instagram.

We work primarily with Hagop (Managing Director), but there is a team behind the scenes that we know he works with.

We found them on Google, but we’d heard of their company from someone else as well.

We’ve invested $5,000 CAD (approximately $3,600 USD) so far. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on the website for three weeks in February 2022, but the engagement is ongoing. They are providing us with digital marketing services.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They really nailed the website on the head. We had a specific vision, and on the first prototype, they showed us exactly what we were looking for. It’s quirky and creative, and the content is shown in the way that we wanted it to be presented. We wanted the website to be unique, and it is.

After the website was launched, we started getting a few leads. Once we started with H & CO Agency's digital marketing, we've been receiving an increased number of emails and phone calls about our services. 

How did H & CO Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Any issues that we run into we email them about, and they take care of it. We have a dialogue back and forth so it is a collaborative experience, and they run everything by us and alert us if there are any issues or changes. They are very transparent about what they believe we will be successful with, and communicate openly about that with us.

They answer any and all emails promptly, and we communicate over the phone and with Google Meet. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve never had such a successful experience with any company before, and that’s why we wanted to leave a review for them. When we were building the website, they asked what our goals were, and they took that information and used it to build a website that was exactly what we envisioned. 

They know WordPress in and out, and their suggestions are informed and helpful. They've taken the time to get to know our company in order to make the partnership more successful. Their service is holistic and hands-on and it makes the experience very unique. It’s a small team that makes you feel like you are a part of everything that they’re doing.

We can’t think of any ways that they could improve.

When working with H & CO Agency, the best investment you can make is using their marketing. Take the investment one step further and use their marketing services so you can actually see your website perform in the way that you want it to.

We hired them to develop our website and then to help with marketing and upkeep of the website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

H & CO Agency developed our website from scratch using WooCommerce. We requested product pages, a click-and-purchase feature, an inquiry feature, location pages, a contact page, and a deals function that connects to our CRM. Our color scheme is black and white, and we requested that the site follow modern trends.

Since the website has been live, they’ve been maintaining it. They upkeep the look and change it now and then to give a refresher so it doesn’t get stale. They also upkeep the backend and language and make changes when needed. Additionally, they handle our online marketing and advertising. They do social media marketing (SMM), online banner ads, and manage Google Ads.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

H & CO Agency is a very good team and easy to work with. Aside from me providing some ideas, they also have some input that has proven to be successful. Our previous website was dated and didn’t have e-commerce capabilities. With the new site, the team jumpstarted our online business, leading to increased traffic. We also stay on top of the online ads to see if they convert well and bring in customers.

We haven’t had any issues with deadlines. Our communication is through email or in-person meetings. We also have a chat group to keep in contact and organize our tasks.

I appreciate that H & CO Agency doesn’t just do what I want them to do. They provide solid feedback that opens a discussion about what’s best for the site and our business, which is very helpful.

We interviewed serval different web developers, however this company stood out. They seemed to really understand goals and our business model.

We started out by outlining primary characteristic behind each brand we carry. We then worked together out a drafted version of what the site will visually look like based on this characteristics. Finally, we implemented each new area of the website while keeping in mind the results we were expecting.

We mainly worked with 2 different people. One was the lead developer and other helped with creative design.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our traffic has doubled and we are receiving a much higher volume of email inquires.

Very good. There was always contestant communication and they were easy to reach.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Honestly, I was very pleased with their dedication to this project. It wasn't so much about getting the job done, but rather getting it done RIGHT! They would regularly make suggestions that added their workload, yet drastically improved the final product. That was truly refreshing.

The timeline ended up being longer than expected... But as they say, good things can take time.
