1. PROJECT OBJECTIVE: 

Developed a comprehensive, user-friendly, and robust mobile application for both iOS and Android platforms that will enable Phlenu Delivery to manage its courier services effectively, improve customer experience, and streamline internal operations. 

2. SCOPE OF SERVICES: 

• Planning & Analysis: Work closely with the Phlenu team to gather and analyze requirements, and establish project timelines and milestones. Design: Design an intuitive UI/UX in line with Phlenu’s brand identity. Wireframe and prototype for both iOS and Android platforms. 
• Development: Develop the front-end and back-end of the application including the integration of necessary APIs (mapping, payment processing, real-time tracking, etc.). 
• Testing: Conduct rigorous testing including functional testing, usability testing, security testing, performance testing, and device compatibility testing. 
• Deployment: Deploy the mobile application on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Assist with any necessary compliance and regulatory steps for launch. 
• Maintenance & Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance, including periodic updates and addressing technical glitches. 
• Training: Provide training to Phlenu staff to efficiently operate and manage the application. 

3. DELIVERABLES: 

• A fully functioning mobile application for both iOS and Android platforms. 
• Detailed project documentation, including user manual and technical specifications. 
• Training materials and sessions for staff.

Completion of Project Milestones on Time and Budget: Achieved key development milestones such as design completion, development completion, and successful app deployment within the pre-established timeline and budget. 

• App Performance: Improved app load time, uptime, and the absence (or minimal presence) of bugs or crashes in the application. 
• User Experience (UX) Indicators: Users reported positive user feedback, low bounce rates, high session durations, and little to no bugs.

The GTS employed a hybrid Agile-Waterfall project management methodology approach, allowing for the flexibility of iterative improvements while also maintaining a structured timeline of key deliverables. 

They started with a comprehensive planning phase, working closely with our team to understand our needs, set project goals, establish timelines, and allocate resources accordingly. Regular communication was a cornerstone of their approach, and they kept us well-informed through weekly project status meetings.

One of the most impressive aspects of GTS Infosoft LLP was their commitment to understanding our business. They did not just limit themselves to the technical specifications of the mobile application. Instead, they took time to understand Phlenu business model, our unique challenges, and our vision for the future.

Are there any areas for improvement or something GTS Infosoft LLP could have done differently?

Regularly Update Documentation GTS Infosoft LLP could assign dedicated resources to keep the user documentation up-to-date as changes are made to the system. This could involve setting up a process where, for every new feature or change made, an update to the related documentation is required.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm a CEO, and I work for a company within IT, primary fitness technology. We offer a market place, ala airbnb for training to people, and also help health clubs retain their members.

For what projects/services did your company hire GTS Infosoft LLP?

We needed a company that can execute, deliver and know their technology stack. Our goal was to keep developing and executing new features, change of stack and backend. We have our own tech leads who address the challenges and have been on top of it since the cooperation with GTS.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to enhance our mobile app, develop new functionalities and increase the number of downloads.

How did you select this vendor?

We searched for developers via our network, online, elance, multiple places and after extensive interviews, we chose this vendor.

The overall scope was to develop new features, follow technical specifications, use our wireframes and guidelines. The vendor was responsible for developing, adding their technical expertise to our strategy. Platforms we developed in was on Android and iOS. Native apps.

3 people. iOs, android, backend developers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We reached our KPI's which were more downloads and increased customer satisfaction.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. From a project management standpoint, they were very good. Tools: Multiple tools including trello and skype.

Feedback: They responded very well to feedback

Barriers: We did not experience language barriers

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Communication, customer-centric, availability, and the fact that they put customers first and not money. It shows.

I’m the co-founder and CEO of Lock & Stock, a mobile application that rewards students who don’t use their phones in class. Users set time and location parameters, and then can collect rewards for discounts and internship offers.

What challenge were you trying to address with GTS Infosoft LLP?

We needed a vendor to develop our iOS and Android apps.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I sketched out rough designs and they did the rest. GTS Infosoft handled our entire development process, from start to finish, for the website—an advertising board—mobile apps, and the web app integration. Specifically, the team implemented GPS tracking, server listing, and server hosting to relay information on a continuous basis. They also did App Store optimization.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact was Navratan (Founder & CEO, GTS Infosoft LLP). There were also four developers.

How did you come to work with GTS Infosoft LLP?

We found them through word of mouth. GTS Infosoft worked on of our colleague’s own internal application. We hired them because they came highly recommended and we haven’t regretted the decision.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them between April–October 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Having launched in 2017, we wouldn’t be in existence without them. The apps have a 4.8 and 4.6 rating in the Apple Store and Google Play Store, respectively. About 14,000 people use the platform daily, including 11% of all higher-education students in the UAE and 31% of non-national students. In total, we have 306 partners using our app to market their brands to students or hire users.

How did GTS Infosoft LLP perform from a project management standpoint?

They had a hands-off approach. We supplied the work and set the timeline. As long as they achieved the goal on-time, we were happy to let project management be their business. We used email and WhatsApp for daily communication. For lengthy calls, we used Skype or phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were young and flexible. Even though we constantly changed and added new features, they successfully accommodated our dynamic identity.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They missed a few deadlines, but nothing else comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give them their space; they’re techies. Managing them like other employees won’t make the partnership successful. Supply targets and guidelines, but let the team have autonomy.

I’m the co-founder and a board member of Kanserle Dans, a nonprofit organization based in Turkey. We serve Turkish-speaking oncology patients all over the world.

What challenge were you trying to address with GTS Infosoft LLP?

We wanted to address the challenges of metastatic breast cancer patients. As part of this project, we wanted to create a mobile application for patients. We needed a customer panel and some of the distinct features such as health profiles, a chatroom, and the ability to send inquiries.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had limited resources in terms of money and people. We didn’t have wireframes and only primitive requirements. Even with these limitations,  GTS Infosoft developed our iOS and Android app. We included some of their ideas for features in the app. Their team also created a website with administrative features. They integrated the app with the site to work together, configuring the administrative panel to upload content to both mediums. Then, they implemented search engine optimization (SEO) for the website. We used their knowledge and experience to guide us through the project. Two years after this project, we applied to expand our project. We didn't receive the funds, but GTS Infosoft helped us draft a set of requirements. 

What is the team composition?

Their founder & CEO was assigned as our project manager. I also worked with three other experts for different aspects of the project.

How did you come to work with GTS Infosoft LLP?

We screened over 30 companies and interviewed about five of them. GTS Infosoft was shortlisted from a contracting website. Their price point was good and the owner of the company was easy to communicate with. One of the main reasons we picked them is because of their experience with other healthcare providers. They were already experienced with other nonprofits as well.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested over $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2016 until December 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Users said our product offered a unique service within the spectrum of health apps. Users who weren't patients also used the app for its wide range of features. We didn't reach the download numbers we wanted to, but that was because I to handed the project over to volunteers—not because of GTS Infosoft's work.

How did GTS Infosoft LLP perform from a project management standpoint?

We liked working with them and had a great relationship. We conducted meetings every other day and used a tool to report bugs. We communicated via email, phone, Skype, and Trello. Even with a huge time difference, they were flexible and accommodated us whenever we needed them. My experience with their CEO has been really great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were flexible to work with us within our constraints and extremely helpful. They kept in mind that we’re a nonprofit and adapted optimal solutions to our specific needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Before our go live, we needed more QA support. They added additional resources, we also had our own resource that we brought into the project.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Having a good project manager is key. Have an initial discussion and ask thorough questions on the workflow, what tools they’ll be using, and what their methodology is. I highly recommend them, but make sure they are a good match for your business.
