I’m the owner and manager of a classified advertisement website.

What challenge were you trying to address with Grinev Software?

I needed someone to build a website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Grinev Software built my website from scratch using PHP, Laravel, and MySQL. The site featured classified ads that were divided into categories. Users could upload photos and have transactions within the website.

What is the team composition?

I only worked with one person.

How did you come to work with Grinev Software?

I reviewed their work and decided that they could fulfill our needs.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from November 2020–August 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Grinev Software did everything the way I wanted them to and made changes when I asked for them. The site had all the functionality I needed, so they did a good job overall.

How did Grinev Software perform from a project management standpoint?

They did a great job in terms of project management. The team was very attentive — if I tasked them to work on something, they did it immediately without getting sidetracked. If I asked them to work for eight hours in one day, they did it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Grinev Software was very knowledgeable. If they didn’t know how to do something, they would research and learn how to do it. Additionally, I appreciated how consistent and punctual they were.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing they could’ve done better.

If you need something done, they can do it for you.

Salesfolks (Salesfolks, Inc.) created a marketplace for helping connecting companies with on-demand, cloud-based salespeople. My role was a Managing Director.

For what projects/services did your company hire Grinev Software?

This project was to build the platform and marketplace from the ground up, including all front-end and backend development work. We hire Grinev Software to be responsible for managing all development of the project.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed the website designed and developed, hosted on AWS, connected to multiple third-party services, and ready to scale.

How did you select this vendor?

We interviewed a number of firms and developers and selected Grinev Software based on their prior work and experience, and after having interview Grinev Software in-person here in Seattle.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Grinev software build the frontend of the application, all the data structure and database, the fully functional application which required the signup of salespeople AND companies in a two-sided network model, all the marketplace tools, as well as customization of the WebRTC module UI.

What was the team composition?

Both Salesfolks, Inc. and Grinev Software has team members contributing daily to the project. Only one outside vendor was brought in and that was for the Stripe integration.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Grinev Software delivered extremely well on the project and, more importantly, they were incredibly fun to work with. Life's too short to not work with people you like and respect. The hard work, professionalism, and proactive contributions were something that is baked into the DNA of Grinev Software.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

There was both a PM from Grinev Software AND a PM from Salesfolks, Inc. and they would collaborate daily via slack. Workload and productivity were managed out of Trello.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The complex and often disparate requirements of the project required a lot of determination to make it work. What was accomplished had never been done before. So, it was about finding out how to make magic happen.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I have zero complaints and nothing but praise for Grinev Software. Honest, hard-working, diligent, thoughtful. Such a high-integrity group to work with.
