Greelow demonstrated excellent project management throughout the development process. Although the project timeline extended beyond the initial 6-8 months, this was due to my schedule and not any delays on their part. They consistently delivered items on time and remained responsive and helpful, ensuring that my needs were met promptly and effectively. Their flexibility and support were key to the project’s success.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed me most about Greelow was their unwavering commitment to completing this project while fully embracing my vision, even though I come from a medical background rather than a tech one. They proved themselves to be genuinely good people who stuck to their word, which was critical for me as trust was my biggest challenge. Unlike other companies I interviewed, who made unrealistic promises, Greelow was always honest and realistic about what they could deliver. Their transparency and reliability were key factors in my decision to work with them. I will continue to work with them passed the MVP stage.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Greelow could have done differently?

Overall, Greelow was the best choice for this project. One area for potential improvement was the development of the nutrition section, which proved to be the most challenging part of the app. At one point, I had to provide the formulas used, and as someone without a tech background, I wondered if there might have been a more streamlined approach. In hindsight, bringing in a consultant with experience in building tech-based meal plans during the pre-build phase could have been beneficial. That said, we worked through the challenges together, and I truly appreciated their willingness to collaborate and find solutions.

I am the CTO of Kelvi, a medical device manufacturer. We are the first cryo/thermotherapy device to bring a totally new approach to the training room, with fully electronic, all-digital heating and cooling in an Internet-connected device.

Initially, we needed to bring our mobile apps to the current versions of iOS and Android. Next, we needed help to add a feature for OTA software updates for our mobile applications. This requires coordination of the mobile app and the devices to get the update and send it to the device.

We talked with several companies that do mobile app development. What we liked about Greelow was that their company was very comfortable with the type of challenges we posed to them. We also liked their work style, level of communication and expertise. The time zone difference still allowed for convenient meeting times during regular work hours - that was a plus.

We initially started with an iOS and Android update and then to a second project that required the addition of a fairly complex feature. The technologies used are Xamarin with CI/CD pipelines for both iOS and Android. These mobile applications interface to our medical device and need to communicate to it.

Project steps: help define requirements, UI/UX design, solve engineering challenges, coordinate with the Kelvi development team, synthesize feedback and make modifications, present the mobile app changes.

2 resources - the head of the company and a senior mobile app developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were really impressed with Greelow's ability to listen to our challenge and to come up with great solutions. The team at Greelow did a great job coming up the process for getting a file from the internet onto our devices. Given that iOS does not allow for file transfer to non-iOS devices, they came up with another solution. They also created the screens and User workflow for the feature and quickly made changes based on feedback. We are very happy with the results.

We set the goals of the project through shared documentation. These were communicated over video calls and Slack. Ideas and issues were communicated mainly over Slack, with videos of the mobile application screens and workflow. When more complex conversations were required, we set up video chat calls to talk through the issues and then the Greelow team would work on the solutions.

They are excellent communicators and have always been very timely. They are good at estimating workload and delivery time, as well as communicating if something is taking longer than expected or has an unforeseen complexity.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think they have a very talented, creative, mature team that cares about the projects they are working on and the quality of their work. They have the enthusiasm to solve hard problems and are very clever about their solutions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think they did a great job. If anything, it was our internal team that was holding up progress due to other internal projects that we were fully engaged on. But they were always ready with their end of the work.

Greelow is very flexible in terms of resource allocation and pricing. The senior architect has a very strong software engineering background and provides great insights on product enhancements.

In terms of providing engineering resources based on time and materials, Greelow has done what we expect them to do.

The application was designed for both iOS and Android. The project had an initial stage where they helped us to establish the workflows and usability of the application for each of the administrator and user profiles. The second stage had to do with the development of the product. The third stage was the testing and correction of functionalities and usability paths for different types of users.

It was a project leader and 3 senior developers. However, the daily contact was focused on the PL.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The application was delivered in due time and form and we are now in the final stage of designing the marketing pieces necessary for its promotion, uploading to the stores and official launch in the selected markets.

We work daily through the use of SLACK, and email. They also gave us a gant where we could review each point of the project. We had a weekly progress and feedback meeting. In addition, every 15 days we had another meeting to evaluate the work process and the functioning of the shared group.

For us it is essential to find partners who can form a single work team. We like to feel part of a single working group, and not generate silos that prevent collaboration, innovation and constant improvement. We were very happy with our collaboration with Greelow since we achieved this.

There was a change of one of the programmers that caused a delay in one of the stages of the project. However, during the whole process, the delay could be compensated and we ended up very close to the agreed deadlines.

After a couple of preliminary meetings, they helped us on organizing the project, through establishing a prototype and defining project stages. They decided to use MERN stack and this turned out to be a good decision in terms of time optimization and a successful final outcome.

A project Manager was in charge of the team and interacted with me, working alonside 3 developers and 1 UX designer. We interacted in weekly meetings.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

6 month after publishing the app, we saw a substancial increase on database engagement rate (25% compared to our usual strategies) and a clear increase on donor acquisition, which was a secondary goal. Comments from our supporters were massively possitive about the App and was a great milestone for our team.

Greelow team helped us to organize the project and made it easy going forward from one step to another. They also teached us about scrum methologies and introduced Slack and Jira. This was also a big step forward for our team.

Their full commitment to delivering the product on time was remarkable, also the way they work together, it was nice to see that people involved in the project was not only working hard but also enjoying what they were doing. One of the things that we value the most is that throughout the process they advised us beyond the technical part and we felt very accompanied.

Required skillsets have included HTML, HTML5 JavaScript, CSS, CSS3, React, server management/deployment, database design, and headless CMS solutions.

Each developer that Greelow has placed with us has exceeded expectations in their output. Not only with their coding skills but also with their attention to detail, critical thinking, and most importantly, not shying away from asking questions or raising concerns if a task, feature, request, process, etc seems unreasonable or ill-conceived with suggestions on how to improve. The result is a better solution & product for our clients which has had a direct impact on our revenue growth.

We inherited a clunky, ill-documented opensource CMS solution that needed to be implemented and wired to the front end while maintaining relative ease of use for content authors. We needed to stand this up as quickly as possible. Greelow developers dove in with no prior understanding or experience with this particular technology and were able to get it to a fully functional state in under a week.

On this same project, there was an aggressive last-minute milestone added by the client so that they could demonstrate the initial look and feel of the site before it was fully functional. Greelow developers took the initiative to self-organize how to divide and conquer in order to meet the requirements and deadline of the milestone, even though it meant taking a less-than-happy path in development best practices.

Both of these achievements resulted in the successful delivery of a really tough milestone and a satisfied client that has granted our agency subsequent large-scale contracts.

Project management is largely handled by our team, while Greelow provides the talent and helps to satisfy rapidly shifting resource needs. They are always quick to respond to resourcing requests. Greelow developers are highly disciplined when it comes to tracking and estimating their work, within our project management tools. And, they are highly communicative over Slack, including daily stand-up reports, providing critical transparency and predictability for all of our projects.

The diversity of talent and ability to scale up and down within days, to conquer complex web development projects of all sizes. We needed an interface that would communicate two processes that we had running independently and on the one hand it would feed a database and on the other it would calculate a series of metrics that would provide certain information to a user.
