I’m the CEO of a small aeronautical engineering company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Gravity Code S.L.?

We wanted to implement the Scrum methodology for agile development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Gravity Code S.L. mainly assists us with first aid training and with the implementation of the tool, providing guidance for the first few weeks of application. They’re helping us with the tool usage and the process of the Scrum methodology with meetings that were led by them and eventually passed on to me, providing feedback afterward. 

Originally, this Scrum methodology was developed for software development, but it’s flexible and can be applied to different areas. Gravity Code S.L. adapted it and showed us how to apply it to other projects and domains rather than just software; they ensure we follow the right process for this procedure. 

Also, we identified a risk that could potentially delay one of our projects; they redirected it by optimizing resources, and we were able to continue with the finalization of that project.

What is the team composition?

We work mainly with just one programmer. 

How did you come to work with Gravity Code S.L.?

They were recommended by another provider within our public funding scheme. We had a meeting and we liked the experience that they offered.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent €1,500–€2,000 (approximately $1,800–$2,400 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re still implementing the methodology. It takes time to see results and it’s still a bit too early. What I can say is that the first indicators are positive and it looks like this is the right way to go. Other positive indicators were their flexibility and adaptability with regards to the potential risk I mentioned earlier.

How did Gravity Code S.L. perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re good at meeting deadlines. We communicate typically through emails, phone calls, and sometimes we have video conference calls for the daily meetings and the feedback sessions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their experience is impressive. They’re using Scrum methodology on their end also, so they know what they’re talking about.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s something they could improve; they’ve been doing what we asked them to do.

Any advice for potential customers?

State exactly what you want from the beginning. Part of the first training was to see where we were and where we wanted to go.

For what projects/services did your company hire Gravity Code S.L., and what were your goals?

I needed to develop a software for IoT in the health industry. They are know in the market for their profesionalism and commitment with the projects. We contacted them and since the begining we saw that it was going to be a fruitful relation.

How did you select Gravity Code S.L. and what were the deciding factors?

Gravity has developed for us a complete software to connect all kind of IoT devices for access control and smart buildings.

We have worked under the agile method with dayly reviews and difined milestones.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Our Business development Director has been involved and also all the tecnical team. Gravity has been also very helpful in the relation with the equipment providers somethig that was not included in the first project scope.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have extended the project scope so it means that we want to increase the business relation with them.

They are a very profesional team, comited with the project and easy to comunicate with. They have fulfiled all the deadlines, something that was not easy.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There is a perfect mix between technical skills and business oriented. Most of developers we have worked with are just focused on the code and tecnical issues. In Gravity Code S.L., we have found a partnern willing to understand the business needs and the end-user request.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I am very happy with the results and the work we have done together.
