The overall objective of this project is to improve student access experience by implementing Face Recognition system. So that staff/student does not need to provide a physical or virtual card to gain access to the main Library and study room at Taylor’s.

The current Library Barrier Gate implemented in June 2016, will not work for virtual student card. Student must tap their physical student card to go through Barrier Gate. In some cases, if library number not coded into student card, student will not be able to gain access into Library. To access to library study room at Taylor’s and main Library in Lakeside campus, student must tap their physical card to gain access into the room/library.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our target is to achieve project completion within the set time frame, emphasizing quality with minimal defects.

• Project 1. With the implementation of the new facial recognition system, we now receive real-time usage data and updates to the library management system.
• Project 2. The updated library website features a more user-friendly interface, resulting in a significantly improved user experience for all library users.
• Project 3. The customization of the new DSpace digital repository system offers a much more user-friendly interface and is better organized compared to the one we were using previously.

GR Tech's team demonstrated excellent responsiveness in addressing and resolving issues. The project was efficiently managed and thoroughly documented, and they successfully delivered on time.

I am impressed by their profound knowledge of technologies and their capability to customize specific requirements as per our needs. Beside their team exhibits considerable experience and technical skill, I am also particularly impressed with their project management approach and capabilities in handling projects.

Are there any areas for improvement or something GR Tech could have done differently?

GR Tech has performed admirably overall, and the project manager along with the assigned team did an excellent job. One suggestion for improvement is that if GR Tech could provide more than one person to handle services after the project is completed, it would enhance the overall post-project support and ensure a smoother transition.

GR Tech delivers quality work. They were able to deliver on time and ensuring satisfying work. Our previous website that they did has served us well and we wanted to work with them again.

I contacted the PIC in GR Tech, Ahsan Ahmad to discuss with him on rebranding our website. The technologies used were Wordpress and it's associated plugins. He helped us picked a suitable wordpress theme, we gave them our sitemap and the content we wanted in the website. They were able to take what we gave and executed it well.

The company director worked with us directly as well as one of his website developers. Overall 2.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching our new site, many of our new clients praised for it's professional layout and engaging content. We were truly happy with what they've delivered to us.

We had daily communication from the company director through email as well as Whatsapp. They are easy to reach and fast to respond.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team in GR Tech are highly skilled and deliver excellent results. What I like about them most is how accessible they are. It's easy to get in touch with them and their response time is quick. Any problems or questions I had were resolved quickly which gave me an immense amount of satisfaction.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were some minor aesthetic issues that occurred but nothing sever. Overall we are happy with their service and would do business with them again.

We've worked with them in the past to develop our first website. It is now 2020 and the site has proven to be outdated. Alongside the recreation of our website, we underwent a rebranding process and so this project was for both rebranding and new website development.

The new site has added functionality, specficically the addition of an e-commerce portion. We wanted the ability for people to sign up on the platform, integrated with a payment gateway, and use it to learn about branding strategies on it. The site must be able to handle sign ups and able to act as an online classroom.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We've worked with them in the past for our first website and we were impressed with the result then. So for our rebranding project, we knew they were capable of delivering the same value and expertise as they did last time.

GR Tech followed a standard waterfall approach during this project, as they mentioned during the Project Kick-off meeting. There was a requirement gathering at the same time, followed by the development process, testing and finally full launch.

We were assigned a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager and 2 senior developers from their team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

This was a rebranding process for our company and so they were able to match our ideas and execute it well. We've received numerous compliments and positivity on the rebranded website.

During the Project Kick-off presentation, they gave us a detailed timeline and view of their processes. They kept in contact with us throughout the development cycle, with meetings throughout major milestones. They were accessible through phone calls, email, Whatsapp and Microsoft Team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were very personable and easy to communicate with. By providing their thought processes and including me throughout the development process, I never felt worried that the project might go towards on a wrong direction. I'm deeply impressed with their communication skills, which is important for me when finding a technology vendor.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When we first launched, there was some confusion on how to add new content ourselves. But after a brief discussion, they promptly provided us with detailed documentation.

They provided important advice for migration strategy and acted as plugin quality control for our desired site and design features. After a careful selection process, they made sure to install and quality control the necessary plugins. We also took advantage of their partner agreements and got discounted prices for several plugins.

What was the team composition?

Their team consisted of 2 or three specialists, but contact took place primarily through the same project manager, so the collaboration went smoothly.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The site was completed on time and to our complete satisfaction. Particularly satisfying is that, on their own initiative, they upgraded user security right after launch and saved us from critical security flaws.

We primarily communicated by WhatsApp and email which worked well.

Without any doubt, their ability to reply and react immediately was impressive. And no hidden costs!

We hired GR Tech for the project of designing Library Entrance Management Software to be use for user entry which integrate with organizational database with the Barrier Gate and Face Recognition system installed. All requirements has been communicated and the project has successfully completed within the timeline.

The Barrier Gate with Face Recognition system was able to allow students to enter premise without hassle (no need to scan their physical ID). System designed able to capture the students details and provide a report. Visitor Management System also enable staff to manage in and out of external parties.
