I’m the CEO of a consulting company.

What challenge were you trying to address with GO Technology Group?

We’re not big enough to have a separate IT department, so we needed to outsource it. We needed an IT provider to manage our technical department, set up our computers, and go through everything.

What was the scope of their involvement?

GO Technology Group is our outsourced IT department. They monitor our computers for issues and support us if we have any technical problems. They also advise us on what to buy and buy it for us. If we need new laptops or servers, they buy them and set them up.

They mostly work off-site, but they come in if it’s needed. They can set up tools and get into our computers from wherever they are, and they’re very responsive. Additionally, they do a meeting with us once a year. Their team looks at our IT needs and makes recommendations on how to proceed.

What is the team composition?

We know them all, but we have a main contact. They also have a helpdesk, and we’ve had contact with the owner, who sends us emails to update us.

How did you come to work with GO Technology Group?

They were referred to us. Before, we had a horrible vendor, so they were a breath of fresh air. We’ve been working with them for years, so I don’t remember who referred them.

How much have you invested with them?

Their monthly fee is $250, and they bill for other services. We probably spend $2,000–$3,000 per year. In total, we’ve spent $10,000–$15,000, just counting their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in February 2015, and our partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Yesterday, the owner sent us emails about our Comcast outage, which is pretty amazing. That’s the level of service we get from them.

How did GO Technology Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very responsive. Whenever we have a problem, they get back to us in a timely way and follow up, which is important. We’ve had other experiences with IT vendors, and they did horrible. GO Technology Group is knowledgeable and pretty timely.

We usually use email and phone calls to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They know what it’s like when technology doesn’t work, and they get back to us. Nobody can be down for long, and they respond quickly. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No; they do well.

Have real clarity on how to get help, who to ask, and what you should do if you’re not getting a response.

GO Technology Group serves as our IT help desk, network managers and all things cyber security.

How did you select GO Technology Group and what were the deciding factors?

John Marta was referred to us through a mutual contact. We were in the process of replacing our inhouse resources with John's group. The expertise of John and his team matched up perfectly with our needs which made the decision to move forward easy.

We started with updating our hardware and software systemwide. We have since migrated to help desk type requests as needed.

We have worked with 4-5 different tech's over the course of our engagement. Each has made a positive contribution to the relationship.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had an situation where our team was having trouble accessing our network drives and archive folders. John happened to be onsite and quickly determined our network was under the early stages of a ransom attack.

He quickly isolated the network from the external feeds, located the corrupt files and was able to clean up the issue and restore from back up within an hour. John then educated everyone involved on how this happened and what to look out for in the future. That was 3 years ago with no issues since.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Go Technology is very responsive. They respond to all of our users requests virtually in real time. They are pleasant to work with and very effective in resolving our issues.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They seamlessly worked their way into our company and gained the acceptance of our very insular group. They're easy to work with and very effective at problem-solving.

I am an owner of a wildlife management company that specializes in bird control serving WI, IL, and IN.

Our Company moved to a new location in 2015. There was a need to upgrade our Server and update to newer technologies overall which the current IT vendor could no longer support.

Go Technologies was referred to us by a trusted individual who understood our needs and capacity. We needed a vendor who was responsive, competitively priced and provided clear explanations of the work they would be doing.

The Go Technologies Team made sure our IT infrastructure was set up when we moved in without interruption from purchasing new equipment, transferring of older desktops/laptops to those individuals that had lesser needs and communicating with Internet provider for coordinating everyone's efforts.

Our main contact when we started was the Owner, John Marta, along with 2 other IT support members for the installation and transfer. We are still working with the same people as well as the owner to this day as he is very "hand's on" and takes care of his clients 24/7/365!

Everything was done that was needed promptly, efficiently and within budget! They have managed our Network ever since without any issues. They make suggestions when needed that has saved money overall. Go Technologies truly have their client's needs in mind at all times!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

When w have a IT request we send and e-mail to their support team in which they literally have gotten back to us within minutes of the request about the problem ...even on off hours and weekends!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Personalized attention and consistency of the support staff! Your IT company must be the most trusted vendor that you have to keep your company in operation. I wouldn't even consider any other IT company than Go Technologies!

Nothing at all!

We hired GO Technology to address computer and network issues that were negatively affecting productivity. We also wanted to protect ourselves against ransomware, phishing and other attacks and find new ways to get more out of our technology, be more productive, and add more value to our clients (e.g. through streamlined and automated reporting).

How did you select GO Technology Group and what were the deciding factors?

I became aware of GO Technology Group through our business coach and management consultant, who also uses their services. I was immediately impressed with GO's ability to quickly understand our business overall, technology landscape and issues, and recommend solutions that both made sense and are cost-effective.

The GO Technology team assessed all computer hardware, operating systems, software, network, and phone system we were using. They upgraded all of our computers, troubleshot isolated issues, added cybersecurity protection to our network, got us up and running on Microsoft 365, Outlook and Teams, and have advised us since on maintaining all of the above.

Their CEO, John Marta, was our main point of contact to diagnose our situation and make recommendations, then he oversaw his team to implement their technology plan for us.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We no longer have nagging/chronic technology problems and have avoided ransomware/phishing attacks. We are more productive in our everyday work because our operating systems and software are up-to-date and we replaced software that wasn't working as well as we needed it to be. And we know that GO Technology Group is there for us at a moment's notice whenever we need them.

Very good - all of the above couldn't have been done otherwise.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

GO Technology Group works as a technology partner with our best interest always in mind. They are very personable, are able to explain complex technology matters in a way we can understand, are patient, and never try to sell us something we don't need.

Not that I can thank of.

We needed a robust website based on goals around search engine optimization, positioning and other digital go-to-market strategies including campaigns.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The team was technically savvy and possessed a strong background in product marketing, digital marketing and branding experience. The continued to introduce new concepts and strategies specifically around brand story and demand generation.

A well documented process for address search optimization including technical acumen around page titles, meta descriptions, target keyword and keyword development for our websites. Content development, research, and market research. Their process begins with a website audit, StoryBrand building process, pain point development, content audit, content calendar development and paid search research and analysis, competitor analysis, ad development, landing page development and ad placement, reporting and attribution support. Tools included HubSpot, Moz, Google Analytics, BuildWith, and others.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Organic search was stellar and elevated our website performance in terms of qualified traffic and website conversions. Content was optimized to support search results along with paid search campaigns. Website development to support search was also stellar and ongoing. We continually worked with their team to optimize and improve our efforts. Reporting was consistent and illuminating so that we could obtain data to show our progress, improvements and results. Our marketing automation was supported by the team in terms of website development, landing page support, reporting support and other technical su[pport.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had a regular meeting cadence to discuss projects, content and other deliverables with multiple team members. This included new project discussion, scope and performance metrics.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We like their knowledge and flexibility to work through consistent changes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There is always something new in marketing technology and once demand generation is achieved, in which they are very good at, other more complex strategies need to be developed like Account Based Marketing (ABM) and Account Based Experience (ABX). Even though these more complicated and progressive strategies might not be core to their offering, they were still able to support our efforts by staying consistent to foundational development and flexible to support more complex strategies.
