We needed to build and launch a new website coninciding the launch of our new cloud-based software. We also conducted a brand refresh with a brand guide for a deliverable. After the project was over, they also designed a few booths for us.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We saw a 161% increase in form fills and an increase from 4.5% to 7% on conversion rates. We also generated twice the revenue from previous quarters from website conversations post website launch.

I don't believe so. We were all in all very satisfied with they work they did to help us launch our website, refresh our visual brand, and create booth banners.

We need to communicate AIND science with the scientific and broader community. A web site is an important component of our communication strategy. As alleninstitute.org is geared to a broader audience, and communicates the big picture work of the entire Institute, this web site will be oriented to scientists specifically and communicate more detail about the science that we are doing in AIND. The key audience for this website is other neuroscientists who are looking to understand the work we are doing, who want to access the data and tools we are creating, and who want to engage and collaborate with us. 
 
On one level, this website serves as a place where scientists can find the data, code, tools, and publications from the AIND team. However, we would like this to be more than an inventory of our research products. We want to be able to use the website to communicate our science and, most importantly, to engage with our scientific community. We want our website to promote dialogue with our community.

For our science to be part of the larger scientific community, it is important for us to leverage these community resources for documenting and communicating information. At the same time, it is important that our work can all be found in one place where we can tie together these different research products and connect them both to the scientific discoveries and to the AIND team. Importantly, we need to contextualize these research products – we cannot create an elaborate inventory, but rather we need users to be able to find resources, understand results and how they fit together.  

Upon completion of this project, Gigantic will have delivered the following:

●      Participation in a two-hour IA work session to crystalize the IA and content strategy. 

●      Development-ready visual design applied to all core pages, delivered in Figma - Three (3) rounds of review/revision.

●      Content migration and data entry of all core pages.

●      A fully functional production-ready website in Webflow for Allen Institute for Neural Dynamics to deploy.

●      One (1) training session with the Allen Institute for Neural Dynamics team.

The Gigantic team was tasked with a complete re-design of our digital presence, and while doing so, overhaul the visual brand identity. A major component to this project was to transition the site from Wordpress to Webflow.
Key deliverables included:

The project turned our website from a liability to the single most important asset of the company helping grow revenue from $100k in 2021 (when the project began) to $5m.

With small teams on both sides of the relationship, Project Management was a collaborative process. Some minor delays happened from time to time, but there were never excuses. Likewise, as clients, we also missed deliverables and they were understanding. Being responsible for our needs is one of the biggest reasons Gigantic is the right partner.

Augmenting the team with freelance talent has its benefits and drawbacks. Hopefully Gigantic can still strike the balance between being nimble while growing the team internally.

We were looking to rebrand our company, so we needed a new website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Gigantic helped developed our website to help us communicate and convey our brand personality better. Once that was done, they did some SEO to manage our online presence and come up with the best strategies and practices.

We mainly interfaced with Benjamin (Design Lead), Tim (Founder), and a writer.

How did you come to work with Gigantic?

We met Gigantic through a personal recommendation from my colleague.

We’ve invested somewhere between $10,000–$50,000.

We worked together from May–September 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I didn’t give them much information to go on, but they were amazing at reinventing our brand. There was a lot of back and forth throughout the partnership and they really drilled down on exactly how the website should feel which to me, was really invaluable.

Gigantic served as our creative mirror and asked a lot of questions, as well as shared a lot of ideas and references.

How did Gigantic perform from a project management standpoint?

They were outstanding from a project management perspective and they far exceeded my expectations. The team was crystal clear in every step of the process and if they weren’t going to hit a deadline, which was rare, they called it out as soon as possible.

They designed the website through Figma, and we typically communicated through Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with their enthusiasm, commitment, and passion — they delivered above and beyond what we were expecting.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m sure there was something they could’ve improved, but I can’t go into that at the moment because I’ve had such a positive experience.

To make the most out of your partnership with Gigantic, make sure you fully explain what you’re trying to achieve, but rest assured they have the creativity to fully understand and translate your needs.

I’m the former CMO of Gennev, a virtual medical clinic specializing in menopause care. We offer prescription and lifestyle treatments from board-certified OB/GYNs and dietitians, with evidence-based resources and high patient satisfaction.

What challenge were you trying to address with Gigantic?

We needed to revamp our website to improve our conversion rate and apply a brand redesign.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Gigantic first addressed the user experience of the site, redesigning the UI to surface information more quickly, add social credibility, and improve the site's new-user conversion rate. Then, they redesigned the website's look and feel and rewrote the copy. They worked closely with my design team to refresh photography, illustrations, infographics, and content for better mobile-first readability and SEO. Lastly, they advised on privacy and cookie consent policies to ensure we met the highest compliance standards for our industry.

We had four teammates from Gigantic.

How did you come to work with Gigantic?

I knew the founder of Gigantic from a previous employer. I had worked with Tim before and trusted his expertise and skill set. I knew the Gigantic team would be great collaborators and help bring my team into the process of revamping Gennev's website.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked in three different sprints from October 2023–January 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our conversion rate went from under 1% to over 3% in a matter of days after the implementation. It steadily improved over the following months. Additionally, newsletter sign-ups improved by 15% in the first month.

How did Gigantic perform from a project management standpoint?

Gigantic nailed all the timelines; they always do. We worked quickly in short sprints of about six weeks. They’re a focused, collaborative team that managed the project well. They landed key dates and kept the project on budget. They stayed within the budget and were good communicators when the project was close to budget caps. We primarily communicated via Slack and Zoom meetings. We worked quickly in short sprints of about 6 weeks. Gigantic nailed all the timelines. They always do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Gigantic are masters at working with Webflow websites. They were true partners in the project, collaborating on the best ways for us to meet our business goals and create a stickier experience for Gennev's website visitors.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They were excellent partners. My only feedback would be to communicate sooner on budget issues and to build budget status into bi-weekly updates. We had a close call on one project and were able to resolve it quickly, but it would've saved some anxiety to address scope creep sooner.
