Our company is called Comarch, and I'm the director of the unit that is responsible for the implementation and development of banking products, mainly for corporate banking. We have about 6,000 specialists around the world, and we have offices in the US and across Europe.

What challenge were you trying to address with Genuitek?

We needed to expand our team very quickly to achieve strategic goals and deliver solutions, so we hired Genuitek for staff augmentation services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We first developed our product about 15 years ago, and it is called Comarch Internet Banking. We sell this product to corporate clients and SME banking companies from all over the world but in different versions. Depending on the size of the bank, we can provide different modules separately. We have trade finance modules that can be implemented without the rest of the system.

For this project, we needed to deliver a custom version of the product to our end client so they could provide a very tailored solution for their customers. Genuitek worked with us in an agile environment, making necessary amendments to the product according to the requirements of our client. They also participated in providing support and maintaining the product. 

Our product comes with iOS and Android app versions, which we provide to our clients for every installation of the system. When it came to these apps, Genuitek helped with system analyses.

What is the team composition?

There were two teams, each having five developers, two full stack Java developers, one React frontend developer, two iOS developers, two Android developers, a team leader, a QA specialist, and a system analyst.

How did you come to work with Genuitek?

They were recommended to me by the CTO of another company that specialized in banking and FinTech. We were told that Genuitek was a good partner.

We had a few meetings with them where I got to know the manager and the developers. They left a very good impression and seemed very technically skilled, so we decided to test them out for a few months. After that period, we expanded into a full partnership.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent roughly $800,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with them began in March 2018 and ended in October 2021. We are considering working with them again for a different mobile development project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had a very positive experience with them.  We got very positive feedback from the customer, and I know for sure that when we ended our cooperation, our end client wanted to directly hire them for other projects.

How did Genuitek perform from a project management standpoint?

They were able to deliver on time and within our budget. We used an agile methodology, and we made them part of our team's agile chapters. There was no problem with quality.

We collectively used Jira for project management. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their developers are impressive. In today’s market, finding developers like theirs who have great technical skills, knowledge, and commitment is very hard. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We sometimes had to wait for a month or two to secure more developers, but I understand that due to the situation in the market, suddenly scaling a team or extending their availability can be hard. I would suggest that they have some people on the bench that clients can tap for sudden needs.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be sure to book them in advance. They’re a very great partner to work with.

I’m the founder and CEO of a company providing telemedical software for caregivers, hospitals, and medical institutions. Our product aids with coordinated care and telemonitoring for palliative patients or senior people.

Within the organization, I’m responsible for supervising the development of our medical software products. Additionally, I’m responsible for my company’s strategy, being actively involved in negotiations with external investors.

What challenge were you trying to address with Genuitek?

We were developing applications for mobile devices and desktops, working with a different development company. However, we needed to replace them because they weren’t delivering what they promised — we weren’t happy with them. Thus, we hired Genuitek to replace them.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Genuitek provides us with a full development team to help us develop our apps. When they joined, they took over our previous provider’s efforts, which was challenging because they had to take over all of their previous work and knowledge. However, they overcame the challenge and provided us with full support from the start.

So far, Genuitek has been in charge of four different software implementations. Their work has included UI/UX design, development of new functionalities, and integrations between our software and our partners’ software. Currently, they’re helping us with analytic tasks and small maintenance support, and we’re preparing the next steps for new development phases.

What is the team composition?

We work with around five people from Genuitek. Their team includes a project manager, 2–3 developers, a UX designer, and an analytics person who leads the projects.

How did you come to work with Genuitek?

We found Genuitek by researching online. Then, we heard great comments about them from a partner who had worked with them before. 

We ultimately chose them because they were very professional, understood our project very well, had great references, and had experience working in the healthcare industry. Additionally, they started supporting us even before we signed an agreement, so we thought that they would be a great partner to work with.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $100,000–$120,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around February 2021, and our engagement is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Although we had a challenging start, Genuitek’s overhaul of our project was very successful, and they’ve been doing a great job for us since then.

How did Genuitek perform from a project management standpoint?

Genuitek is doing a great job. Their time and cost estimations are accurate, and they constantly deliver by the promised deadline. Additionally, they keep us informed about the project's progress, and we have great communication. We communicate almost daily via Slack, Discord, and Jira.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Genuitek focuses on delivering high-quality products. It is also impressive how involved they are in our project; they don’t only deliver what we request, but they also discuss topics and bring new, great ideas to the table. We feel like a unified team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. If anything, it would be great if we could have in-person meetings because I like old-time closed-office reunions to discuss details. However, we’re in different countries, so that is not a possibility.

Green Coalition provides solutions for companies and institutions in the field of carbon footprint calculation and reporting and other GHGs, climate consulting and related risks, design concepts and feasibility studies for the use of integrated renewable energy technologies.

For what projects/services did your company hire Genuitek, and what were your goals?

We hired Genuitek to build our platform. They chose the technology, designed the architecture, and developed its tools. We were also looking for a long-term partner to help us evolve our business and build new tools.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

A colleague with a technical background recommended Genuitek's architect. After exchanging ideas about how the platform should look, we decided to hire the whole team. Our teams had the same vision for the technology's business functions.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Genuitek ran workshops with us to clearly understand our goal, our target users, and our processes. Then their architect did the research and chose the right technology. They used Google Cloud Platform, Java, React, TensorFlow, and Python. They have also supported us as we talked with Google representatives to obtain credits for our MVP on Google Cloud Platform.

After they designed the architecture and had it verified by our business and data science teams, they began development. It’s ongoing, but the MVP was ready for customer tests after only two months. That was impressive. We have finished our MVP and we are testing our new service on the market. We are planning to add new functionalities withn next 3-4 months.

Genuitek supports us with a cloud and solution architect, two senior fullstack developers, and a data scientist support manager. Their COO facilitates our communication, project setup, and business development.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have MVP ready and we are working with Genuitek on next functionalities. Thanks to this platform, we can offer our custommers much better services that we used to be bale to offer.

The scope of MVP was delivered within the budget and promised timeline. I was kept informed about the progress and I had access to an environment where I could actually use the new application.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Two aspects of our cooperation are the most impressive. The first is their technical knowledge and the quality of work they deliver. The second is their approach to software development. They did the right things in the right order, and their lean approach was perfect for launching innovative ideas.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Their prices are high for the Polish market. However, their experience, quality, and professionalism justify everything. It's hard to find anything negative.

I’m the product owner and manager for SmartWays, an HR consulting based in Krakow, Poland.

They’re responsible for the customer-facing aspect of the project while 90% of the website is internally managed by us.

They were actually recommended by a friend of our CEO and after a few calls, we figured they were the best fit for this type of project.

We’ve spent somewhere between $60,000–$70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The ongoing project started in August 2021, as we’re still working on implementing new features and fixing bugs.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve received positive feedback from our internal staff thanks to the automation process that Genuitek implemented, and our productivity KPI rose by 20%.

Moreover, customers have praised the continued growth of our company.

How did Genuitek perform from a project management standpoint?

Genuitek is able to deliver their tasks in a timely manner and is consistently communicative throughout. They update us on the progress of the project, so I’m happy with our continued partnership.

We’re impressed with their knowledge base and ability to understand our needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was one issue we encountered with the communication but other than that, I’m happy with their process and their ongoing work.

I work as VP, CTO. The mHub company offers services based on our own on-line IT platform in the cloud and network of RFID/NFC transponders installed in the field. In particular, we focus on public transport sector.

For what projects/services did your company hire Genuitek?

Analysis of the possibility of using PWA and Instant App technologies for handling mCommerce sales transactions (electronic products mContent type, e.g. public transport tickets), without a dedicated mobile application. Analysis of the technical requirements as well as opportunities which for mHub Tap4Ticket service creates potential implementation of RCS technology by GSM Operators in Poland. Building PoC of PWA/InstantApp application, as appropriate.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The company was recommended by a friend. We travelled down to Wrocław to their HQ to meet them. After this meeting we decided to work with them.

The project consisted of the following stages:

1. Preparation and mutual consultation phase.
2. Analitical report of PWA/InstantApp.
3. Analitical Report of using RCS.
4. Sample PWA testing.

Four persons. IT engineer specialized in the field(s), Senior IT consultant, Board Member, junior IT consultant.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Based on the reports we were able to take the important strategic decisions regarding the direction of development of our T4 platform.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Pretty standard project management, with regular weekly meetings and reports, adapted to our relatively small company with limited resources.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Focus on the merit and delivery. They were always responsive to change requests that arose from mutual discussions.

SundhedsDanmark (Health Denmark) is a free patient service platform developed by patients for patients with the purpose of providing a groundbreaking user service, reduce the waiting time and furthermore structure the treatment process for people treated in the healthcare system. The platform contributes to the equal treatment of everyone irrespective of their disability, ethnicity, gender, social status, treatment needs and level of communication. Me myself, I'm the CEO og the company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Genuitek, and what were your goals?

In Denmark it could be pretty difficult to get in contact with doctors and special practitioners. With that in mind I was thinking how a digital platform can help citizens to get easy access to the healthcare system in Denmark. I have a background in the digital logistic industry, why not use my knowledge and experience to create a digital platform for citizens with an almost similar challenge – getting from a point to another in an easy way. That’s the project we hire Genutek for. The goal was for them to deliver at the agreed price and time. As well as that they possessed the necessary know-how.

SOLUTION

How did you select Genuitek and what were the deciding factors?

The director of Genutek, Matt contacted me via LinkedIn. There are a lot of others who do too. But after talking to Matt, I wanted to work with Genutek. Genutek also met our expectations for price and time. Genuitek provides the skills needed for developing our platform, and allows us to be deeply engaged in the process on a daily basis. It’s also our impression that Genuitek can be a team player giving feedback on our own choices for technology and design of the software.

We had two physical meetings in Poland and in addition we held weekly meetings.

Throughout the period, Matt was our project manager and in addition, there was an average of 1.5 developers on the task.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We stopped the project before it was completely finished. The project has never been launched on the market.

We had a weekly dialogue with the project manager. We used mail and Slack for communication.

They are good at understanding the content and scope of the task.

We should have prepared a requirements specification, we didn't.
