I’m the co-founder of The Epic, a financial services company. We’re developing an app to help people show appreciation and provide tipping solutions. For example, if you’re in a hotel and there’s no personal interaction, we want to enable people to provide a tip afterward for housekeeping.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with a rough specification of the app. Once we decided to move forward with Geniusee, we spent time working out the specifications. We went through every step of the app and every phase of the customer journey. Geniusee then drafted all the stories so the app development team could develop the individual parts of the app.

We worked closely with the Geniusee designer to make the UI exactly how we wanted it. We had some initial ideas, but the designer brought to life what we were envisioning. The team walked us through the backend design and provided a lot of feedback and suggestions on how to optimize the process and make it faster.

We built the app from scratch. We had some wireframes in PowerPoint, but they were just visualizations. The designer arranged the logo and colors we wanted to use. The core features of the app include registering and logging in for authentication. The service we provide is matching users through geolocation matching.

We worked with eight teammates from Geniusee, including a tech lead, a mobile engineer, a business analyst, a UI/UX designer, a backend engineer, a manual QA engineer, a DevOps engineer, and a project manager.

How did you come to work with Geniusee?

We found Geniusee through Google and Clutch. We initially wanted to use a company from Germany, but they weren’t highly rated. We screened a couple of companies, did some research online, and engaged with five companies. We narrowed it down to Geniusee because they had the best offer. Aside from the best price, they also offered the best service. They were very engaging and supportive, so we had a good first impression of them.

We chose Geniusee because of their initial support. Their approach to providing us with a fairly accurate initial quotation to understand what we were trying to do was impressive. They put a lot of effort into providing us with a substantive quotation. Overall, we had a good impression compared to the other companies we were talking to. The other companies weren’t as thorough and felt a bit rushed, but Geniusee really put in the effort.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app is downloadable in the App Store and Google Play. We haven’t marketed it to a huge extent yet, so the download numbers are still fairly small. The app is working perfectly fine, and all the dashboard functionalities work. Not only did Geniusee meet our expectations, but they went beyond them.

How did Geniusee perform from a project management standpoint?

In the beginning, Geniusee was very thorough. In the end, there were some unforeseen circumstances, so the project was delayed a bit. However, it was nothing unspectacular. Regarding the budget, Geniusee provided us with a realistic case and a worst-case budget. In the end, we hit the worst-case budget, but we were still within budget.

Geniusee provided Jira and Confluence. We used Slack for team exchanges and email for more formal communication. We had one to two video calls per week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Geniusee was a highly young team. In the beginning, I was concerned that their age would be a problem, but it turned out to be their greatest asset. Geniusee's team was dedicated, hardworking, and really thought the whole thing through. Their work attitude and ethics were impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were always some little things they could improve, but nothing worth mentioning. Overall, I was very happy with the experience.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Pay attention to the budget. Initially, I liked Geniusee’s approach of providing a best-case, realistic, and worst-case budget. During the course of the project, track the budget closely so you don’t inevitably hit the worst-case scenario.

I’m the owner and director of a startup e-commerce infrastructure company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Geniusee?

We hired Geniusee to build our e-commerce infrastructure platform. We needed a broader skill set for particular developments that we didn’t have in-house at the moment.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Geniusee developed our e-commerce infrastructure platform. Initially, we provided them with a demo as a framework to explain how the product should be. We also provided them with case studies of how we currently work with customers and how the platform should ultimately operate.

The platform is connected with around seven warehouses and has a merchant of records framework. It routes through the correct entities, calculates the duties and taxes, and has an automated documentation generation for customs processes. The key technologies used to build the platform were Shopify and Python.

What is the team composition?

We worked with two project managers, two backend developers, and one designer.

How did you come to work with Geniusee?

We found Geniusee through a Google search. On their website, we saw an acquaintance who is a developer. We contacted him and asked about his experience working with them. He was quite excited about working with them, so we booked a call and went from there.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in November 2025, and the project was completed in March 2026.

We don’t have actual numbers, but the platform looks correct. Geniusee met our expectations.

How did Geniusee perform from a project management standpoint?

We appreciated their ability to translate our needs to the developers. We’re non-technical, so it’s hard to speak with a developer. Geniusee did quite well on that side. They also understood our industry-specific knowledge, which was nice.

They were quite clear in taking us through the journey of the development and setting the deadlines. We used Slack to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Geniusee was a good listener and translated what we were saying into a solution.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have been a little bit clearer about the project’s end. It was very tight at the beginning and got a little bit loose at the end.

It helps to have a demo or something to outline how the product should look and work. It’s also important to tell them how you currently operate.

I’m the CEO of Sweet Sweeps, a US-based sweepstakes casino. We’re an online free-to-play social casino available to the US. What was the scope of their involvement?

Geniusee has built a custom frontend solution for an out-of-the-box backend solution. The backend is separate from the work that Geniusee has done.

Geniusee has created the design in Figma from scratch. We’ve given them references for websites we like and don’t like, and components on competitor websites we like and don’t like. The team has taken the Figma files through to execution, QA testing, and the whole process.

Moreover, the team has used React and Next.js to enable modular UI with reusable components and dynamic onboarding to maximize conversion and engagement. Geniusee has also set up hosting on AWS and worked within my Cloudflare.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with around eight people. We mainly interact with a project manager, a business analyst, and a senior frontend engineer. However, we’ve also worked with two other frontend engineers, a QA person, a designer, and someone at the management level.

How did you come to work with Geniusee?

I heard about Geniusee from other projects in the industry. I had seen their work and was told that the Geniusee team had built it. I also knew the owner of a European casino that I really liked.

Then, I talked to them and explained that I was building something for the US and asked them to put me in touch with whoever built their website, and they referred Geniusee to me. We then started talking about onboarding, proposals, and contracts.

We started working together in March 2025, and the project was completed in July 2025. However, we’ll continue working with Geniusee to manage the site. We’re also working with them on another project.

We’ve had a good and promising start. The team has built a very lush and engaging frontend design and overlaid it onto an out-of-the-box backend solution. Frankly, Geniusee has created a modern, sleek design in a market with tired designs that lack innovation. They've really done a great job.

We've spent the last two and a half weeks with a low marketing budget. Currently, we’re very happy because the site has absolutely exceeded expectations. It feels like it could be something.

How did Geniusee perform from a project management standpoint?

Geniusee has provided structure to the whole project. The team works on sprints and uses Jira. Everything is captured, which has become the framework for how the entire business works. Besides, we work within their process and sprint reviews. We communicate via Slack. Overall, everything has been on budget and on time.

The team at Geniusee is highly professional. From the first interaction to the proposal, the quality of the proposal and the way they break it down is impressive.

No, there aren’t any. Geniusee has been very responsive to bugs and fixed them.

Be responsive to what they need to move forward on their site. A lot of the blockers that come along with projects are either third-party blockers or internal blockers that prevent Geniusee from moving forward. They’ll move as fast as you want as long as you’re in a position to work quickly.

I’m the CEO of a transportation software company. We create mobile ticketing apps that help bus companies issue fares to their riders. We simplify the ticket purchase process.

We needed help with custom software development. We came in with already established software, but we needed more manpower. Our challenge was to find a team that also possessed mobile app development expertise in natively written iOS and Android apps.

Another main challenge was that we needed a particular project management style that could break projects down into smaller, easily digestible components.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We partnered with Geniusee to scale up our development team and create added value. Onboarding them took a week. Basically, we retained our core development team and relied on Geniusee for several portions of our development process that needed refinement.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They got us to a really good stage where we could release an app in a matter of months. We thought we would be out in six months, which cut our development time by 50%.

We deployed successfully and went from nothing to over 10,000 daily active users, which was a pretty big deal for us. There were a few little bugs here and there that we needed to work on and migrate through, but nothing too crazy.

How did Geniusee perform from a project management standpoint?

Geniusee’s project management was great and experienced, making working with them easy.

Their project manager set things up for us, which was very helpful. He attended calls alongside the developers and would split up tasks between team members using Asana. He introduced us to agile methodology and helped us set up a Kanban board to track the progress of each project. This way, he helped us set up these chunks of work that needed to be done. He was a core part of the team.

The project manager was always in communication with us. We would go back and forth to better understand how to work with them. So we met with them three times a week to share status updates and questions, assign tasks, and review any blockers. To sum it up, we used Slack and Zoom to communicate. This would be a really high-level overview of the process.

Bohdan, the project manager, was very helpful. He was easy to work with and very flexible. Serhii was also a great developer and an excellent problem solver. He worked very quickly. Ilya was another great developer who helped us quite frequently. I also want to give a shout-out to Pavlo, a backend developer who helped us get things going.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Geniusee’s responsiveness and ability to scale up and down were impressive. They showed great flexibility by scaling as our requirements changed.

Moreover, they were easy to figure out and available to chat almost any time of the day, which we appreciated since we had periods of time where we were waiting on our clients and partners to get back to us with details and didn't have work. All of this assisted us with costs, which was also important and helped us a great deal.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It was on our end that we really needed to figure out things, like what our project requirements were. We needed to iron out some client communication, but that was more on my end than anything. It was just about getting the client up to speed and ensuring they understood the scope of work, which we needed to take responsibility for.

It was totally fine, I don’t have any complaints or issues. I truly enjoyed working with them, and things worked really well.

It’s really important to have a good and robust onboarding process to minimize delays in development down the line. Focus on making your onboarding process very robust to avoid hurdles later on.

Ensuring the team is onboarded is crucial to the success of the working relationship. Geniusee needs to feel good about their work and have their questions answered. That’s something your company needs to invest time in upfront.

The quality of what Geniusee has built is high. All the components we've seen work robustly, even when there are changes around them. The team has been great in using the frameworks we've requested. I'm happy with Geniusee's work, and the entire team has been excellent. Geniusee has been exceptionally flexible given the early stage of our company. We can be chaotic and dynamic with a lot of changes. The team has worked with us to keep services right-sized, lean, and focused. Geniusee was hungry to work with a company at our stage, and we appreciate it.

How did Geniusee perform from a project management standpoint?

I operate on a requirement basis with Geniusee. I manage the AI work, and the team is self-directed in the software engineering tasks. Geniusee is very communicative. The team manages numbers exceptionally tightly, which is essential to me. Geniusee's ability to keep a budget has been exceptional, and their agility to develop under budget constraints is excellent. 
I get frequent touchpoints and contact. We talk multiple times a week, and we use Slack a lot. We also use video calls for higher bandwidth conversations. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Geniusee's ability to be dynamic and flexible is impressive. We cold started in August 2024, so things change constantly. The team's willingness to pivot and agility in that process while managing a budget has been exceptional. Geniusee stays focused on the important things for the business in a dynamic environment.

I can't think of anything Geniusee can improve on — I’m extremely happy.

I recommend engaging with Geniusee early on in your software development. Creating a shared context of what you’re building is essential. Some software developers want to engage when the requirements are fleshed out, but you can engage Geniusee before the requirements are fully fleshed out. The team is very helpful in crystallizing the granular development tasks. You can engage with Geniusee early before you even have all the clarity yourself.

Geniusee has been responsible for developing our website and software from the ground up. The team has built our front- and backend systems. We had several old WordPress websites, and Geniusee consolidated them into one using a design we created. One site at a time, the Geniusee team has migrated our old websites into the new product. The team has guided us on what technology stack to use and how to approach everything. They’ve also helped us with animations.

One of the website’s features is called game challenges. These are mini-games in which students answer questions in a fully animated game, and whoever gets the highest score wins a prize at the end of the week.

Geniusee has saved us a lot of time. In one year since we switched from the old site to the new site, our product revenue has grown by 60%–70%. We’re also a lot more efficient. Before working with Geniusee, it took us around a month and a half to fix a bug, while Geniusee fixes them in less than 24 hours.

How did Genusys perform from a project management standpoint?

Geniusee delivers work on time and within budget. We primarily use Jira and Slack for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I've worked with other agencies, and, in comparison, Geniusee is very organized, and they always get back to us right away. For example, I needed statistics on how many users were using a feature on the site, so I reached out to Geniusee. This was the first time I asked for these specific metrics, and Geniusee gave the full metrics. They do their best to go above and beyond.

I’m an executive at a small education technology company. We provide schools and academies with software tools that control students’ internet access. The policies are defined by the academies, schools, teachers, or parents. We also provide classroom management services where teachers control their students’ computers during class.

Our solution is hosted in the cloud, and we have several cloud providers, mainly AWS and Google Cloud Platform. To administer this infrastructure, we need DevOps services, so we hired Geniusee to provide them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Geniusee provides us with DevOps services and manages our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and AWS. Initially, we described to Geniusee what we needed, which was one mandate per day. The team provides a resource to help us administer the cloud, including maintaining our infrastructure, servers, and nodes and supporting us in urgent matters. They also develop new scripts for automation when needed.

What is the team composition?

Initially, we had two resources working part-time. Now, we have one one DevOps engineer for four hours per day. We also have the support of their project manager, but we only meet for one hour per month.

I wasn’t involved in looking for DevOps services. That was my boss’s responsibility.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2023, and the engagement is ongoing. We'll work with Geniusee for at least 3–4 more months.

Geniusee is very good at managing our infrastructure; we haven't been disappointed. We measure success by the time it takes for Geniusee to solve our problems or execute tasks. Typically, it takes them 1–3 days to complete a task, which is reasonable. We’re satisfied with their work. 

Compared with other contractors we've worked with, Geniusee is also very good at communication regarding spoken English and documentation. The team provides us with detailed graphs. Overall, we've had a good experience with Geniusee. 

How did Geniusee perform from a project management standpoint?

We have daily 15-minute calls with them. They’re quite responsive. Our developers sometimes also need their help. We now have a process in place, and whenever there’s a request for Geniusee, we receive an immediate answer for when they can address our needs. We use Google Meet to communicate.

Geniusee has good DevOps skills and knowledge of what’s available on AWS and Google Cloud Platform. They also speak very good English. Our company's CEO is very satisfied with Geniusee's work.

Our primary measurable outcomes for this project were focused on early user interaction and feedback to validate the product's core concept. Key metrics include user engagement and retention rates, indicating our MVP's ability to meet user needs. Feedback volume and quality provide direct insights from users, informing necessary adjustments and enhancements. 

Additionally, tracking feature usage has helped us identify which aspects of the product are most valuable to users. The speed of launching the MVP has been critical for quicker user feedback integration. Finally, the team's ability to quickly pivot as customer feedback came in mid-development has been amazing.
