Create a platform for onboarding and managing tutors, matching them with schools/clients and integrating with various 3rd party services. This included developing Single Sign On (SSO) solutions so that the various services, tools and platforms tutors needed to register, book lessons, training and access virtual classrooms were all with a single login.
It also involved creating logic and algorithms to ensure the tutors assigned to teach lessons had the appropriate skills and certifications etc. Additional integrations to ensure tutors got paid and various tools for admins to manage the schedule nad service. This included making a an importer to bulk upload schedules and student assignments.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The service launched and was able to meet SLAs/KPIs set out by us and our client. This included uptime, time to process new schedules, ability for tutors to find and book lessons and fill rate of those lessons (for tutors).
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
They provided a PM an BA that was able to gather our requirements and communicate them to the engineers. They had QA team that were able to test solutions and demonstrate them back to us. More recently I was added as a tech lead from our company to work with the team.
I have found the engineers are proactive and understand the requirements well. This means they are able to make intelligent choices during a task or project rather than do everything in the spec literally and without thought of the user experience.
Delivery is usually on time but when it is not there are clear reasons and it is usually a result of change in scope or an unexpected issue with a 3rd party API/service not working as documented. Whenever,sickness or other staffing issue could cause a problem with delivery they have found a replacement to step in.

Their communication, work ethic, and desire to give a positive outcome for their client are impressive. There focus is always on delivering a usable solution that we are happy with rather than ticking boxes to say they have done what was in the brief/spec. Their team all speak clear English and are able to debate on technical topics to find the best solutions.
They also have a good sense of humour making our meetings more enjoyable. Their PM has been great at resolving any issues promptly and without complaint. They have also been able to adopt our ways of work so our internal teams find them easy to work with and the standards we have are matched.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Geniusee could have done differently?
Some of the solution hasn't scaled as well as I'd have liked leading to some tech debt. However, this is partly due to the requirements being delivered over time and greatly changing feature set compared to when it was initially designed.

I'm the CEO and founder of a startup company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Geniusee?
I needed people with experience to show me the right path forward in building our app's UI/UX design. I had a lot of ideas, but I needed to have them all organized more tangibly so I could see the whole project and the different things I had to address in terms of technology.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
My startup is a social media organization where people can assign tasks to each other — it's like an organization app between different parties.
Geniusee helped me with the app's UI/UX design. We had a clickable prototype made with Figma, and they continued with the text areas design and all the logic page-by-page of how the mobile application would look. Also, they created a map on Miro to show the platform's look, helped me define user personas, and went into depth with the whole process — they covered a lot of bases.
In addition to that, their team provided me with reports on what they would require for the technology, the time they needed to deliver, and how to assign different people to different tasks.
What is the team composition?
I worked with 4–5 members of their team, including a designer, a business analyst, a tech lead focused on the platform's infrastructure, and a project lead who organized everything.
How did you come to work with Geniusee?
I found Geniusee at a tech event in Ukraine, and I liked their website, which was nicely done. I felt that they had the potential to help me build something nice too. Even at the beginning of the war, they were still operational. They looked at the project and set up a team to help me.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent around $12,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
I worked with them from December 2021–April 2022.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Everything was very professional. Their team was very conservative, which was good because I'm very creative and was trying to go in many directions. Overall, we had a great partnership where they committed to getting the work done.
How did Geniusee perform from a project management standpoint?
They stuck to the schedule and budget. They did have a three-day lag, but that was due to the Russian Invasion — after that, they were back on track and delivered on time. Also, I kept asking for a lot of design changes, and they didn't complain at all — they wanted to make something nice for me and helped me all along the way.
Regarding tools, we used Slack and WhatsApp for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They went all the way to get things done fully with no crumbs left behind. They were very professional and ensured to do everything properly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't think there's anything they can improve on. Whenever I had an issue, they took care of it. Also, Geniusee's team was great at communication; as long as we had that, problems didn't stay problems for long.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communication is the biggest thing; my project is very dear to me, and I didn't expect them to do any guesswork. I told Geniusee's team what I needed, and they brought their expertise to the table to bring it to reality. If you know what you want, they will complete everything you need all the way through.
