What specific goals or objectives did you hire Freshy to accomplish?

Freshysites redesigned and redeveloped our website in early 2024. In late 2024, we learned we were changing our recruiting system and had to create a custom solution to display and link our careers on RMC.com. Challenges where that that the recruiting system – applicant tracking system ATS – had no out of the box iframe, and an unreliable XML and RSS feed. Freshy helped us explore the various options to create a solution. We needed and wanted our brand to shine through especially with important job seekers, however the tools offered by our ATS were out dated and offered a negative user experience. Freshy helped us create a custom set of code that scrape the ATS and transcribe it into an on-brand format that follows current UX and UI standards today.

The scope of the project included research into the new applicant tracking system, designing a solution to integrate the ATS into the website, how to create a positive UX and create a UI, to make it reliable, automatically update to minimize maintenance.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Despite getting off to a slow start, Kelsey was our lead for the project. She quickly dug in with meeting with the recruiting system, testing and constant updates and options. She was able to quickly deliver a temporary solution while we designed a long term solution that did accomplish all of our goals!

Kelsey was very responsive to our needs. She was proactive in her approach and brought in new team members as we worked our way through the project and others’ expertise was required. Kelsey jumped on phone calls live whenever we needed and really immersed herself in the solution.

I found her to be very professional, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, responsive, and resilient. She kept us on point, rolled with every change we had, and helped deliver an exceptional final product -- all with a great attitude.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are incredibly easy to work with.

Working with the owner, Ben, during our vendor selection process was a pleasure. He knows his business, he is accessible and the team and processes he's put into place in his company are on point. He was also willing to work with me to ensure that every question I had was answered, and every concern I raised was eliminated. 

This "attitude" was carried over into the actual work process with the development team. Freshy was friendly and handled every request and revision we gave them with complete professionalism. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Freshy could have done differently?

My only criticism, and it's a minor point as I feel the end product was outstanding, is that when initially laying out pages with the content we provided, I would have liked to see a little more visual creativity in how we might present the content.  First pass, items were laid out in a very linear manner. It was fine, but a little bland. That said, after we discussed my thoughts, I was quickly provided with some alternative looks that were really great.

Freshy made our original website back in 2010, and has kept it updated and maintained ever since.  In 2015 and 2021 they redesigned and relaunched the website.  They also make custom pages for us and helped with rebranding.

Smart Inspect has grown by 20+ people in the time we've worked with Freshy proving that the website is wonderful and provided great value for our customers and prospects. As we've grown, our marketing has changed and Freshy has always helped us to maintain an up to date website. They have gone above and beyond to help with questions that aren't always specific to adding a page to the website. They offer ideas, and tools to maximize exposure and user experience.
