Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the owner of the company and one of my departments provides marketing and advertising services for the customers. One of our projects was the promotion of media content in social networks.

For what projects/services did your company hire Fram Software?

For our marketing and advertising services, we required a strong software solution, providing an online system of media content sharing (video content mostly) and converting video files to different formats, taking into consideration the big amount of requests and conversion specifics.

What were your goals for this project?

The goal of the project was to develop a reliable solution, with a limited budget and exact timeline.

We already had the experience with this company and decided to continue with this professional team.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

The project began with 1-2 meetings, where the main requirements and timeline were discussed. Then the development started and this process was very transparent for us since we had several catch-up meetings, reports from the team on where we are in the development at the moment and so on. In fact, a lot of new info about usability optimization, web productivity improvement were brought to the project by the developers from Fram Software. After the release and a few issues fixed/modified, the process ended.

What was the team composition?

There were two developers, working on the project and a product manager helping us to improve the usability and user experience of our app.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This project implemented very quickly, helped our department to increase the number of customers, users online.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Actually, the project management was great, because exactly as the had to be, even with some improvements after our workshop with usability consultant. The plan agreed during the first meeting was fully respected. All requirements were met within the agreed timeline.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Well, first of all - I was always in contact directly with developers, and not with sales/customer managers as for other vendors. We were able to share the ideas very fast, without a long process of communication between departments in other software development companies. Fram Software gave us some recommendations on how actually to save money on the development - we modified/improved one of our internal processes, instead of ordering another module development. So, the do not offer only development services but consultant services as well.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Can not name any areas for improvement, fully satisfied with the result. If new software development will be required for our company, we will come back to the guys from Fram again.

Our goal was to create an online marketing platform that attracts the attention of social media users, inspires them to interact with content, and drives them toward customer web pages.

Fram Software was recommended by a client who had a positive experience with them.

Fram Software provided a full spectrum of services. They began by gathering requirements, then handled coding, testing, and deployment to production. The team also brought us a lot of ideas that made our service better. They built the platform on a React frontend and a .NET Core backend with a MySQL database running on Linux.

What was the team composition?

Our core team had three people. Other specialists participated, as needed.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The product has improved our online marketing experience enormously. We have helped customers who wanted to extend their presence on social media.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We had no issues with Fram Software. They managed the project well and delivered features on time. The final release occurred as scheduled, with no unpleasant surprises.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Fram Software was proactive, always trying to improve our project vision and present fresh ideas.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Overall, we were happy with the results. The testing team missed a few bugs in one of the sprints but fixed that issue before going live.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of OneClickWAN, a software company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Fram Software?

We needed help with development. Our target was to have a graphical interface for our product.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our first product has no graphical interface or database. We needed them to develop the second product, which combines graphical UI with the database structure. Inside this product, we are saving all our data that we are producing from our other product.

Our product used C++, which is a quite difficult language for the graphical UI. It’s best to choose something else, so we decided to use .NET. Behind this, we have MySQL for the database that stores all our data from our side. They used React for the UI and .NET that works together with MySQL. It’s a high-level design.

We are in the middle of integrating it with our product. To integrate these two products, we used mechanisms for the delivery of information from one system to another and backward. We are using RabbitMQ and Google Protosync.

What is the team composition?

We had one main point of contact. I don’t know how many other people were working on the project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $5,000-$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from February—June 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

My experience has been positive. We did some changes in the middle of the project and these changes were applied well. We finished the project on time. We had some delays but they were from our side.

The part they worked on is working fine. It went through a number of tests and performed well. The additional features we are still working on weren’t agreed to at the beginning. We are in the middle of integrating their system and our system. The integration model was our suggestion, and we really appreciate them doing their best to do this. The final integration is going well. We’re looking forward to its release.

How did Fram Software perform from a project management standpoint?

They were delayed for a couple of days, but it wasn’t very urgent for us. There weren’t any significant issues. They were friendly. The product is working and that’s what matters to me. They added additional things for us, which I really appreciated. We communicate via email and Google Drive. During testing, we communicated through WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I expected there to be more issues, but there weren’t. They met 99 percent of the requirements and they fixed whatever needed fixing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, all our requirements were fulfilled and we’re satisfied.
