Limited measurable outcomes were achieved because the project was abandoned. Progress was significantly delayed beyond the original timeline, and the engagement ended before final delivery.

Project management was a significant weakness throughout the engagement. Deliverables were not completed on time, and the overall timeline extended to approximately five times the original expectation without final delivery. Communication and planning were inconsistent, and there was not a clearly defined scope established at the outset, which resulted in repeated disputes over requirements and milestones.

Responsiveness to project needs was reactive rather than proactive. Senior engineering involvement came much later than expected, after the project had already reached a critical stage and fallen substantially behind schedule. Technical and management challenges were not effectively resolved internally, and progress eventually stalled altogether. Ultimately, the project was not completed and the engagement was terminated.

Initially, the company presented itself as capable and communicated confidence in its ability to execute complex technical work. However, that confidence did not translate into effective project delivery, planning, or execution.

Folium would benefit from significantly stronger project scoping and technical leadership at the beginning of engagements. Expectations, deliverables, and ownership should be clearly documented before development starts to avoid repeated scope disputes later. Senior engineering involvement should occur from day one rather than being introduced only after projects reach a critical stage. 

The company should also improve internal project management, specialist oversight, and escalation processes so technical and operational issues are resolved proactively instead of delaying delivery. More transparent communication and realistic timeline management would have sigificantly improved the experience.

Folium AI has delivered at least 20 deliverables over the past 12 months, and they’ve never missed a deadline. Our clients are extraordinarily happy with the results of their work and continue to contract me to get their projects executed. The team has changed my business entirely, and I’ve seen improvements in my client retention rates, new contracts, revenue, and longevity.

How did FoliAI perform from a project management standpoint?

Folium AI project managers are extraordinary; they never miss a deadline. We communicate via email, messaging apps, and virtual meetings to show the progress.
