I’m the CTO of a company that provides fintech solutions for migrant workers in France. We basically offer a B2B software solution to employers of migrant workers that allows them to manage payroll and provide other services, such as a digital wallet. We also provide a web portal and other tools to help them manage those services.

What challenges were you trying to address with Flyers Soft?

We needed a development partner to help us with our software, so we hired Flyers Soft.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We first started working with Flyers Soft on developing our software solution based on a preexisting system. Since then, we’ve provided them with a series of guidelines to iterate on based on our customers’ feedback and other ideas we’ve had to keep evolving the product itself.

Our entire software solution has been documented in different ways, depending on the stage of the project. Flyers Soft has been responsible for most of the solutions implemented. As for the technology stack, they’ve built our platform’s backend in .NET Core, as well as the frontend in React.js.

What was the team composition?

We’ve interacted with 10–15 teammates from Flyers Soft throughout the engagement, including their founder.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent around $300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I joined my company in June 2022, but our partnership with Flyers Soft started around January 2021, and our collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been growing our corporate client base very rapidly, and the software solution developed by Flyers Soft is the main tool they use. Additionally, we’ve had great results, such as reaching an NPS of around 70. Although our success depends on various factors, Flyers Soft’s work is an important part of the equation.

How did Flyers Soft perform from a project management standpoint?

We don’t expect any project management work from Flyers Soft. Their team is integrated with our internal staff, so we don’t rely on their project management. Instead, they focus on technical development specifically.

Still, Flyers Soft’s communication is very good. They work remotely, so we mainly communicate via Microsoft (MS) Teams. In some cases, we also use ClickUp, Azure DevOps, and spreadsheets for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Flyers Soft adjusts very quickly and is very committed to their work. This allows them to react very well to strict deadlines, which is why we trust them a lot with important parts of our product development.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if Flyers Soft’s teammates integrated more into the teams we’re building internally — we would like them to own the decision-making. Although this is something that doesn’t necessarily apply to every company, we want to be more agile so that the developers themselves can make more decisions. Still, there’s a learning curve for this.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Align with them on the level of ownership you require for your agreement. You can choose how much you want their team to be involved in the project and define the technical expectations.

I’m the managing technical director of an application testing company. We provide professional services to the testing industry. We do calibrations, training, and application testing for our customers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Flyers Soft?

We gave them a project to automate our SharePoint. We were formerly doing everything manually.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Flyers Soft automated our SharePoint and put it on the cloud. I used to do everything manually from quoting customers, invoicing customers, saving calibration records, and sending PO to our vendors. We’d do this through Excel sheets, folders, and sending emails. We can also create lists, menus, queries, and different buttons.

Now, everything is done in SharePoint. Flyers Soft utilized Power Apps and Power Platform, which are Microsoft products integrated within SharePoint. Now, I have a form in SharePoint that allows me to create quotes anywhere I have the internet. It sends an automatic email to the customer through the customer database.

What is the team composition?

Initially, we were working with three individuals. Then, we mostly interacted with the developer.

How did you come to work with Flyers Soft?

They were referred to me by our quality manager. He had worked with them in the past. They had experience working with companies similar to us and were knowledgeable of our needs. Additionally, the cost and way they’d handle the project was a part of our decision-making.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project was from December 2020–January 2021. The project took about 25 days.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work has made a great impact on our business. Everything is automated now, and I can even use SharePoint on my phone; it’s so accessible and convenient. Flyers Soft is cost-effective, and we receive the same high quality we’d receive from other companies. Our developer’s expertise and knowledge were excellent.

How did Flyers Soft perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was good. We didn’t have any face-to-face meetings, but that’s typical for engagements like this. We met through Zoom and Webex. When we have meetings over the internet, sometimes things fall through the cracks. I wouldn’t say that’s the fault of Flyers Soft. But because we didn’t meet in person, things were missed here and there. However, they’d get discussed in a follow-up meeting and Flyers Soft would take care of it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re not just money-driven or constantly worrying about how much they’ll charge me for additional work outside of the scope. Their concern was always to implement what I needed. They see themselves as an added value to companies. It’s clear they were invested and always thinking about how to make my system easier and better.

Our deployment meeting was 15 hours long, and I didn’t feel that they were tired or frustrated at all during its entirety. They were patient through the very last second of the call. On top of that, they asked us to use the system for a week and then provide feedback. Then, we’d touch base and handle the last touches. So far, I haven’t found anything that needs to be tweaked.

Additionally, they showed me how they created everything so I can maintain my system by myself without having to go back to them all the time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ll reiterate that video conferencing meetings will always have their drawbacks. Flyers Soft would share their screen and vice versa but we didn’t have any face-to-face meetings.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d recommend Flyers Soft to my friends and companies I work with. Do it without any worry because they’re cost-effective and do quality work. Their team is patient and great at listening. They’ll do exactly what you need. If they miss anything, they’ll fix it. I’m very satisfied with what they did.
