I’m the founder and CEO of an educational technology marketplace.

What challenge were you trying to address with FixIT Software?

We needed help with frontend development. We needed someone who could take over the React Native piece of building the software.

What was the scope of their involvement?

FixIT Software has been responsible for the active development of our app for iOS and Android. The team has taken the designs and codified them. Roman (Full Stack Developer) has built most of the mobile app, including the login and onboarding flows, profile and settings screens, features for users including payments and billing, Stripe Connect and earnings, messaging, push notifications, tablet layouts across the app, crash reporting, analytics, performance work, and a large unit test suite.On the web, FixIT Software has delivered the landing page redesign, Google sign-in, profile and billing pages with ACH, and the admin dashboards.

We started working together in December 2025, and the engagement ended June 2026.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app has grown from 31 screens to 78 and shipped 21 TestFlight builds, all through 136 pull requests that passed automated checks. Test coverage went from one test file to 327 with over 4,000 tests running green on every push, and every screen came with phone and tablet layouts.

How did FixIT Software perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps. We don’t have set deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by their ability to work with limited to no guidance and see through a task.

Scope included building the app from ground up using Flutter as frontend tech and NodeJS as primary backend technology. The app design was developed inhouse while the architecture and technical execution was outsourced to Fixit Soft. Key deliverables were: 

• Frontend mobile app for iOS and Android 
• Scalable backend deployed on AWS 
• Bug free product that can be shipped to the market 
• Detailed documentation 
• Live ops tools to continue running the app for few quarters without having to manually update server or client code.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• User Engagement: Measure active usage and frequency of recordings.
• The app has been released to ios and Android with excellent feedback so far.   Users are very happy and minor technical issues have been resolved incredibly fast. 
• Retention: Monitor long-term usage and return rates of users. 

These metrics will help gauge the app's impact on language development and user satisfaction.

The developer was incredibly responsive and had made themselves available for video meetings whenever asked. We worked through instant messaging systems as well as a task management solution (Trello).  The project has been delivered on time at spec.
