A website can take anywhere from 7 days to 12 weeks, depending on scope. A single-page or simple brochure site can launch in as little as 7 days when the content is ready to go. A typical small-business site runs 4 to 8 weeks. An ecommerce store, or a site with custom functionality, runs 8 to 12 weeks. On a typical build the schedule breaks down like this: discovery and content gathering, 1 to 2 weeks. Design and revisions, 1 to 2 weeks. Build, content loading and integrations, 2 to 4 weeks. Review, QA and launch, about a week. The 7-day version compresses all of that by working from a defined scope and content you already have in hand. Logo and brand identity projects typically run 2 to 3 weeks. SEO works differently, because it has no delivery date. Local SEO and Google Business Profile work can move the map pack within a few weeks. Broader organic rankings normally take three to six months to show real traction, and longer in competitive markets. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is either doing something risky or not doing much at all. The single biggest variable on a website project is content. Timelines slip because copy, photos or product data are still being gathered, not because development stalls. We send one clear checklist of what we need and when, so the schedule is something both sides can actually hold.

You work directly with the people doing the work. We are a small Ann Arbor studio, so there is no account manager relaying your feedback to a production team you never meet. Every engagement starts with a discovery call, then the plan goes in writing. Scope, deliverables, timeline and a fixed price are agreed before anything gets built, so there are no hourly surprises. From there you get a shared project space where files, feedback and to-dos live, scheduled check-ins rather than surprise updates, and defined review rounds at design and again on a staging site. Feedback happens on the work itself instead of in long email threads, so there is always a clear moment to say change this, well before launch. We explain the why before we recommend the what. When we propose something you will know what it does, what it costs, and what it is expected to return, and you are free to say no. If something is not worth doing, we say so, including when it is something we sell. Throughout the project and after it, you own everything: the site, the domain, the files, the data and every account, in your name and under your logins.

Onboarding is five steps and usually takes about a week. Discovery call. Around 30 minutes to understand the business, the customer, and what is actually not working. No pitch deck. Audit before recommendation. We look at what already exists first. Sometimes the honest answer is that a site needs a cleanup rather than a rebuild, and we would rather say that than sell a project. Written proposal. Scope, deliverables, timeline and a fixed price. Most website projects start at $3,500 and are quoted to scope. SEO programs start at $1,500 a month for a single location, $2,500 to $4,500 for multi-location or multi-service work, and $5,000 to $10,000+ when AI answers are in scope. A one-time audit and roadmap starts at $1,500 and is credited if you continue. Kickoff. Deposit, signed agreement, and access to a shared project space with the timeline and to-do list already in it. Content and access gathering. One checklist covering copy, photos, brand files and logins. This is the step that decides whether a project runs on time, so we make it as specific as possible. Build begins from there, with review points at design and on a staging site before anything goes live.

We build on whatever platform fits the business, not whatever is easiest for us to maintain. Most of our custom work is WordPress, and most ecommerce is Shopify or WooCommerce, because those give an owner the most control and the least lock-in. But we also design, build and fix sites on Wix, Squarespace, Square Online, Webflow and BigCommerce. That matters most when you already have a site. A business on Wix with four years of content and rankings does not automatically need a rebuild. Sometimes the right answer is to improve what exists: fix the structure, the speed, the copy and the SEO, and put the budget into visibility instead of starting over. We will tell you which situation you are in before you spend anything. If a platform genuinely is the constraint, we will explain exactly why, what a migration costs, and what happens to your rankings during it. And whichever platform you end up on, the account stays in your name.

By what happens to the business, not by what happens on a chart. For websites, we measure conversions: form submissions, phone calls, bookings and completed checkouts. Traffic that never turns into contact is not a result, and we do not report it as one. For SEO, we track keyword positions verified in a real search rather than average position in a dashboard, because those two numbers are not the same thing and the dashboard version flatters everyone. Alongside that: map pack visibility, calls and direction requests from Google Business Profile, organic leads, and now citations in AI answers from ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. We set the baseline before the work starts, so there is a real number to compare against, and we report against that same number every month rather than switching to whichever metric happens to look good. We also tell you when something is not working. A campaign that is not returning is worth stopping, and you should hear that from us rather than discover it a year later.
