I'm the co-founder of POS Cafe, a Shopify POS app for cafes and coffee shops. Our app enables easy custom product modifications and streamlined order management to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction during in-person and online sales.

What challenge were you trying to address with Filta?

We needed to hire a software developer and a customer support specialist. We wanted to ensure we were meeting our employer obligations, and we liked the support, expertise, and systems that Filta provided when hiring new team members.

Filta has managed the entire hiring process, including job listings, candidate filtering, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing employee management services. The team has provided us with a shortlist of candidates, onboarding documents, and ongoing reports.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Filta has provided us with quality candidates, and we've made a hire. We've measured the quality of the candidates through interviews, code tests, resumes, reports, and recommendations from Filta.

How did Filta perform from a project management standpoint?

Filta's project management has been excellent. The team has delivered ahead of time. We communicate via virtual meetings and email or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We've been impressed with the support from the Filta team, their professionalism, and their values alignment.

I don't think there's anything they can improve on; they've been exceptional.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We needed to find talent quickly for our estimating and purchasing team, and decided to widen the pool by looking overseas. We needed a partner who could help with our search, shortlisting and managing of these new staff members - of which we needed more than a dozen. The partnership needed to be professional and knowledgeable of overseas worker rights, could effectively onboard and offboard, be accessible and close out queries effficiently, and of course have access to great people.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have been able to quickly scale up to meet demands which would have taken much longer than if we had tried to find the talent ourselves, locally. The quality of the team members is excellent - both soft and hard skills.

Finding and shortlisting applicants was quick and efficient. Their systems and processes meant they were able to understood what we needed. All new team members are of excellent quality, and we expect to continue using their service for future projects.

Filta is an outstanding partner. Their commitment to investing in their customers and team members long-term is evident. Through face‑to‑face workshops, they have ensured we have a strong understanding of compliance obligations and cultural expectations. They are supported by systems that enable efficient reporting of concerns from either ourselves or our team members. Filta acts promptly to address and close out matters relating to work quality, performance expectations, and the well‑being of individuals. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Filta could have done differently?

We had some issues navigating their recruitment platform to find documents pertaining to individual applicants. This is something we have raised, and can see they have been working on rectifying these issues.

For one of the teams the impact has been measurable, the rate of discovering and correcting catalog errors has skyrocketed

The team has hit almost every deadline, if a deadline is not possible, we are given plenty of heads up and quick prioritization of new goals is done.
