I’m the president of 2Swift Boards, a product development company. We design and manufacture two-wheel inline electric skateboards.

We hired Fetch & Funnel to generate sales through paid media advertising on Google and Meta.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fetch & Funnel handled all of our paid media advertising. They also helped refresh our website to optimize for conversions. The team designed the ad creatives, both video and static, picked the placements, and managed the budget. We already had our Google and Meta ad accounts set up, so they mainly focused on the creative strategy.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our main focus was ROAS. We wanted to understand what it would cost to acquire a customer. Although we weren’t able to achieve our goal, Fetch & Funnel was the first marketing company we worked with that was able to generate a positive ROAS. We’re selling an expensive niche product, and they were able to generate sales mostly through Meta and Google. The average ROAS over the course of this project was 2.60, with the highest month being 4.43. We also tracked total sales generated.

How did Fetch & Funnel perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very professional, and their deliveries were on time. We communicated via virtual meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They actually drove results. We had worked with a few marketing companies in the past, and they weren’t able to drive any results for our business. Fetch & Funnel set us up with a marketing dashboard that allowed us to continuously review the marketing analytics. We specifically worked with Patricia (Account Manager), and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. Patricia was very creative and intelligent, and always had new suggestions and ideas. She was also timely, punctual, and had excellent communication.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, no. They did the best they could with the digital assets we provided them. As I said before, we’re selling an expensive, niche product that’s completely new to the market, and Fetch & Funnel was able to drive sales. I think the lower ROAS was due to the cost of our product and minimal customer awareness and the economy.

Unfortunately the project management was where things first started to fall apart. We are a seasonal business so on a tight timeline and my project manager was on vacation for the first week we were signed up. In the three months we were with fetch funnel our project manager took 2 more weeks of vacation and this resulted in many delays. 

Outside of the vacation time the team was never reachable by phone. I hired the agency because they were in my time zone, then I was assigned to an offshore team all around the world. Messages coming in from 1am to 6am mostly meant that each communication required a full 24 hours to send an receive one message. 

This lack of communication resulted in incoherent ads being laiunched with links to the wrong businesses, the wrong landing pages, and errors took many days to be corrected. All while funds were being wasted. I was promised weekly in person meetings in the contract that never happened.

Over the course of the three month project I only spoke with my project manager 3 times. When things started to turn south in terms on performance my other contacts in the company were unabvailable including the CEO who would not return my messages for many days.

It seems like I was sold one thing and then assigned to a loose group of outsourced freelancers of varying quality. Some members of the team were highly skilled but operating in an environemnt with limited information and tough communication they were unable to deliver any results. 

When I handed over advertising to this team our revenue was up 17% YOY and spend was down 4%. By the end of the three months revenue was down 8% and spend was up 42%. This forced us to end the relationship, layoff employeees, and cut all advertising to survive.

Fetch & Funnel's communication has the biggest room for improvement. The team coulnd't effectively communicate with me or themselves. This resulted in many errors in the ads that tanked performance. For examples headlines in the ads would be changed but the landing page wouldn't change to reflect the new copy in the ads the user clicked. Losing the "scent" like this meant lower engagment and ultimately a decline in sales.

They made me feel special, and went beyond just advertising and funnel services. They noticed the potential in my brand and advised on a full 360 marketing strategy. We conducted strategic planning & they took the brand to the next level, while having in mind my original vision and authenticity. I hired Fetch & Funnel to help me scale the brand. We had tried Facebook and Instagram ads with little success.

The team started managing our ad accounts right away and got them to be more profitable. They then launched new advertising channels like TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube. They simultaneously started working on our website to increase our conversion rate. They assisted with creative direction for our shoots and video production, edited all the ads to increase performance.

They guided the strategy for new collection drops and product launches. They consulted on our email marketing to increase open and click-through rates. We've lately been focused on increasing customer lifetime value by analysing customer behaviour, post-purchase experience, etc.

Fetch & Funnel is an outstanding agency that has truly transformed our digital marketing efforts. Their services encompass everything needed to excel in the digital landscape, from digital advertising to creative solutions and conversion rate optimization. Fetch & Funnel offers a wide range of services. Their media buying and advertising management was top-notch, they always kept me in the loop and optimized performance for the highest returns.

Their creative was always really good, in-line with our brand, and they would consistently produce creative that would outperform the previous creative. They optimized our website which when we started was below a 2% conversion rate and now is almost at 5%! They launched new channels for us including TikTok and Programmatic that drove strong ROAS and allowed us to scale.

They also took care of our SEO to improve organic traffic and optimize our product pages, etc. This comprehensive approach ensured that all our advertising needs were met under one roof, streamlining our campaigns and maximizing efficiency. Fetch & Funnel’s media buying and advertising was top-notch, they consistently drove strong ROAS for us and scaled the business.

They launched new channels like TikTok and Programmatic so we could continue to scale outside of just Facebook, Instagram, and Google. Their creative was always super impressive and on brand. They consistently improved the results of our creative and also helped guide us for photo and video shootings. Fetch made changes to our website and run a/b tests constantly and improved our conversion rate from below 2% to almost 5%!

They also have been doing our SEO to increase our organic traffic and optimize product pages, advertising feeds, etc. In summary, Fetch & Funnel is an agency that not only met but exceeded our expectations. Fetch was hired to help us refine and develop our sales funnel for our business coaching and consulting program. We needed assistance getting in front or more qualified leads, which was a struggle due to our boutique style offerings. We cater to a very niche market. We needed a campaign or messaging, coupled with a strategy, that would generate more qualified leads so that we could have a better conversion rate.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Not only did Fetch develop a consistent strategy for our team, they even went above and beyond to implement a way for us to track the leads that were coming in. Since work began with Fetch, we added about a dozen clients, which is a drastic increase compared to what we were bringing in before. Our product is very high end, and our offerings were complex before Fetch.

Fetch even went as far as helping to refine our offerings in order to better market our services for us. We approached Fetch with a number of complex issues, and I know they went above and beyond their normal scope of work for us solely because they seemed to really care about the success of our campaigns.

They were very organized and clear with timelines. They communicated what they needed from us in order to hit their deadlines and were very flexible and accommodating when last-minute needs and requests came from us.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was of utmost importance to us when evaluating a partner - and the Fetch & Funnel team was on point. In addition to the weekly meetings, Jeff and Matt were always available and would not wait until our weekly meetings to bring ideas or updates to our team. Seeing as this was a new business channel for us, we were communicating almost daily to get feedback from their work.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were most impressed by their communication, positive attitude, and fresh ideas. We've worked with many agencies over the years and I can honestly say that working with Fetch & Funnel was our best experience. It was difficult finding an agency that would work within our (initially) small budget, but they saw the potential in partnering with us and made it work.

I can't say there is anything I would change. Our engagement was only for 3 months as we had to pivot our overall business strategy (nothing to do with Fetch & Funnel) shortly after engaging their team.
