We received a website that works exactly as we needed it to and looks great too. Our employees are actually using and talking about it.

Their project management style emphasized flexibility, collaboration, and transparency. It was evident that they cared more about delivering what we needed and what would serve us well as opposed to following rigid processes. Most importantly is that they didn’t compromise on quality just to meet a deadline

I’m the director of administration at First Canadian Financial Group. We provide life, disability, mechanical breakdown, and vehicle protection insurance products, primarily serving the automotive and recreational vehicle industry across Canada.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fabled Solutions?

We needed support to develop a web application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Fabled Solutions has built a highly robust menu-selling sales tool for us. The team has also built several other web applications to fit into our suite of dealership-facing sales tools. Fabled Solutions has navigated a complex system of province-specific regulatory and tax rules. The team has accommodated our extensive list of products and forms and the different combinations that they are offered in depending on vehicle type (auto, RV, powersports) or dealership location. The product has gained complexity steadily over time as our business has evolved.

Currently, the tool allows each client to have a library of custom-built bundles that can be presented to clients in-house or remotely. The tool also allows clients to further customize those bundles to suit individual buyer preferences, with all changes updated in real-time for buyers throughout the sales process. Clients can customize the way bundles and products are presented or how they are accepted and declined by buyers. The completed deal data flows seamlessly back into our system for certificate generation.

What is the team composition?

We work with five teammates from Fabled Solutions.

Our director of technology conducted an online search and then interviewed a variety of local development teams to find the one that could accommodate our needs the best.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent more than $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Fabled Solutions in April 2017, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our project has been a success, and our clients see a significant boost in sales when utilizing the tool compared to deals where it’s not used. Feedback has been positive. The tool’s adoption increases annually, and the per-deal profit is significantly higher when the tool is used.

Fabled Solutions has supported us when we’ve needed changes made with tight timelines and has always met deadlines. We communicate via email and frequent meetings.

They followed a tailored agile methodology. They were transparent with me every step of the way. They were collaborative and flexible and responded to my needs, input, and requests. There were delays with the project but these were communicated throughout the process.
