Our company provides sophisticated customer analytics in the outdoor power equipment and power sports dealer, distributor and manufacturer ecosystem, multi-related to marketing and sales. Our solution is software-as-a-service, and it's used by many of the biggest manufacturers on the market. I am the vice president of engineering for the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Elinext Group?

We were looking to expand the scope of our software offering, and couldn't find the proper talent in short enough time.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Elinext Group has been working on both web-based and internal solutions for our company. We are using HTML5 for our mobile systems, so we've never created native apps specifically for iOS or Android.

Besides building new features, Elinext Group has also taken care of maintenance and support. We have been working with 4-5 developers from Elinext Group, and have interacted with them through both project and technical leads. Those two people are responsible for distributing tasks and allocating resources.

How did you come to work with Elinext Group?

Some parts of our software development team are already distributed, with most of them being in the US. We needed support in a different time zone, with the same level of expertise. We started looking in the Europe space, posting on several websites, and Elinext Group responded to one of our requests. Our primary criterion was the level of expertise held by the personnel, and their response time. We considered around 10 companies in total, 5 of them from India, 2 from China, and 3 from Europe.

We have been working with Elinext Group for around one year.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The amount of source code written by Elinext Group is in the thousands of lines, so they are very productive. Elinext Group is proactive in creating documentation for all our projects, which I've appreciated, and they have provided adequate testing. The communication with Elinext Group is superb, with a very favorable response time. I often assign a couple of tasks to Elinext Group at night time in our area and come back in the morning to find everything completed.

How did Elinext Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Elinext Group has delivered everything on time and within budget. We are using an open-source system called Track, which acts as a project and bug tracker, while also giving us access to the source code. It's more of an engineering system, but it's good for managing small projects.

What did you find most impressive about Elinext Group?

The depth of Elinext Group's knowledge and their experience is amazing. We can throw any request at Elinext Group, and find someone who has knowledge of it at an expert level. This can go from SQL [Structured Query Language] databases to Apache Hadoop and Spark, to anything on the user experience side. Elinext Group has very good web and middle-tier development teams.

Are there any areas Elinext Group could improve?

On the product management side, we would like to have someone on Elinext Group's team, not necessarily an engineer, working closer with our product managers. This is more our problem than theirs.

We are an educational technology startup company focused on the development of instructional coaching software and teacher evaluation applications for K-12 schools. I am the founder and managing member.

What challenge were you trying to address with the Elinext Group?

The main challenge was developing software for the teacher coaching function. There was no software on the market that could provide a complete solution to this problem. Existing software focused on classroom observation and not evaluation. Schools had communicated an urgent need for instructional coaching and classroom evaluation software. A number of schools indicated readiness to use the beta versions of the software. Our software offered an immediate, comprehensive and practical solution to this challenge.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a clear vision for the web application, which was embodied in our detailed specification, design and software requirements. The Elinext Group provided invaluable technical recommendations on the basis of this information. Elinext carried out the frontend, backend, and database development work.

We wanted a partner with deep technical knowledge, experience in building educational software and who was “startup friendly.” Elinext came highly recommended to us by former clients. We examined the group’s web projects portfolio and was impressed by the complex projects they had completed. The fact of their over 17 years of experience cemented our final decision.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project was initiated as a fixed cost model with an estimated half-year duration by the Elinext team. Elinext completed this phase on time and fulfilled all requirements. However, the need to implement extra functionalities and reorganize the application, driven by critical changes in the coaching process, led us to switch to a dedicated team engagement. The work is ongoing and Elinext continues to provide development and support. We have been successfully working with Elinext for two years now!

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The result of the work of the Elinext Group is a web application with a responsive design for internal use by school officials. The three parts of the application—teacher coaching, classroom evaluation, and classroom observation—are being developed on ASP.NET and aims to replace routine paper work with just a few clicks. It provides a vibrant user-friendly data dashboard, offers easy navigation, ease-of-use and provides PDF or XLS data export formats using ShieldUI Chart Library and JavaScript. I would definitely recommend Elinext Group and without hesitation include them in the final shortlist of companies for any project under consideration.

How did the Elinext Group perform from a project management standpoint?

The work is still ongoing, but as far as the first phases are concerned, the developers have been able to meet all deadlines and stick to the agreed schedule.

What did you find most impressive about the Elinext Group?

Their professionalism, thoroughness, and serious attitude are impressive. Even at the stage of initial inquiry, they provided professional consulting, detailed estimates with project timelines, the architecture of the application, the mock-ups and so forth. A very important point is that they love communicating with their clients and are highly responsive to clients’ needs.

Elinext project management is best of class and their quality of work is first rate. We got direct access to the development team, communicated directly with the lead developer and continuously with the project manager. It was easy to overcome challenges and make changes quickly as the project unfolded. They provided unique perspectives and fresh ideas to the project at every turn.

We are a German startup company and our vision is to create a simple yet powerful survey engine. With customers in dental medicine, we realize professional surveys are a cornerstone in their quality management.

The business opportunity is to improve the product or service quality process by analyzing customer feedback. SOLUTION

At the beginning of the project, we did the development internally. Eventually, we began to realize that we needed additional support when it came to custom programming. This was the point where Elinext Group came into the picture. The first project was the advancement of our existing development. We were trying to expedite the process without diminishing the quality. Based on their performance, we decided to let Elinext assume full responsibility for the custom development of our solution. One of the main objectives of our project is the development of a back-end interface that will allow us to manage our product questionnaires and many other parameters that need adjustment or revision. The project duration was set to approximately six months, and our collaboration remains ongoing.

The web portal and iOS app have been quite successful so far. Our end users seem to enjoy the app and the engagement levels we're seeing are very promising. They take a very meticulous approach to development and walked us through the development process step by step.

Elinext built a full ERP system with payment processing, tax management, inventory, and reporting modules. They also developed admin and client web apps and APIs for mobile. Multiple apps were created by them on top: for payments, rentals, ticketing, and even airport security checks. The system was integrated with Visa, MasterCard, and other processors, and additionally supported analytics-based customer personalization.

Talking about system speed and performance - they improved it significantly, modularity allowed easy updates, and their solution was later acquired by a major Canadian bank for further development (which one - can’t be disclosed).

Again, Elinext was responsible for designing and developing a cross-platform mobile application for iOS and Android that would allow users to control mini-drones via on-screen joysticks and an external gamepad. As well as handling firmware update functionality for the drone, camera, and gamepad, as well as device recognition and automatic reconnection features. Key features like VR mode, social media streaming (YouTube/Facebook), and automatic device recognition were successfully implemented. Firmware updates for the drone, gamepad, and camera are also supported in the app.
