We have been using a Wordpress plugin for a few years, which works well, but only with one level of membership and with no other payment options than Paypal. We wanted to change it with the PMPro plugin, without our premium customers being impacted by this transition. Also, we have a download area on the site reserved for premium subscribers with a lot of files that also needed to be supported by the transition.

Already at the end of the project, we had what we were looking for, despite a few bugs that ExpressTech fixed (thanks again for the proactive support by the way). With multiple payment methods and different membership levels, our monthly revenue has grown significantly.

We started off with a workflow to make sure we would not miss any detail of our requirements. Within the initial process we could see that especially Ravi has an ability to look over the edge and think all the processes through completely. After the first initial development phase, we had the chance to review at the staging site and suggest changes and edits. Throughout this first period, we met every week to sync and make sure we're still on track.

We always had one point of contact (Ravi), who was the main developer and deligated work packages to the developers. It was important to us to have one person for the implementation to avoid any friction during handover.

The project was finished within the cost and resource frame. The time frame took a little longer than anticipated but it was not time critical as the MVP still had some buffer. In the final stage ExpressTechSolutions had developed three custom plugins for us, giving us the ability to update all existing core plugins and systems to avoid any forks.

We've been very pleased to see that our point of contact showed up in time during our Zoom calls and that he did follow up on all the open tasks/topics we discussed. Communication tools could be improved as Skype did not work and we had trouble with emails being send to the POC.

At the initial phase of drawing the workflow, Ravi helped us tremendeously by suggesting another way to make the payments work. It it turned out to be much easier to realize (cost savings) and yet to keep core e-commerce functions available. This was very impressive as our payment concept can be very tricky. ;-)

The on-boarding phase was not easy before Ravi came in and took care of the project. But as soon as he took over, we felt in really good hands.

We searched online and specifically in the PMPro areas of the web for a reliable company to help us get our membership details online and working as we hoped. We decided on Express Software because of their responsiveness, great communication, and the related experience they had.

The scope was to implement an online membership platform where our members could handle annual renewals, opt to be part of our online directory, and give memberships to others. It was decided to implement using PMProMembership plugin on our Wordpress site.

One project manager, very helpful resource worked with us. His team was at least 2, maybe more at times. We dealt with the project manager directly on all issues. Everything was handled very professionally and timely.

In general, we are so very pleased with the results. Our previous attempt at this had left us a bit scared of the outcome, but Express delivered!

We used spreadsheets to log issues and outstanding tasks. Email was also used extensively to communicate. Being in vastly different time zones, it was sometimes a bit of a wait, like 12 / 24 hours, but because we communicated so well, it was not really a problem.

They had a unique ability to think outside the box. We didn't have the best requirements ironed out in the beginning and they worked with us to help us figure out the exact desired result and then delivered it. They brought WSPA out of the dark ages of manually renewing memberships!

The biggest thing we would have done differently is to have thought through our requirements better up front. It would have made the project a bit more streamlined, but that Express did a great job handling it!

They had the experience and knowledge to direct his team effectively and work collaboratively with ours. Even when COVID affected one of his developers and delayed the project he was able to successfully bring it to completion.

The project could have been completed sooner if more testing had been done and some problems could have been resolved in a more timely manner but overall the team was professionally managed, the project was completed successfully within a reasonable time frame and the work was cost-effective.

Three people were involved, including the director of engineering, whom I was working directly with. The team also involved a second engineer and a designer who help convert the designs into html and css scripts.

The website has not been launched as of today.

We communicated mainly via Asana. The director of engineering was prompt in responding and provided timely updates throughout the project. Despite difficulties faced, we think that the team responded positively to the challenges and kept a good working momentum in order to deliver our requirements.

The director is very responsive and followed through the project from end to end. This was something that we appreciated more considering the remote working arrangement. The team was also very customer-centric, being flexible to adapt to changes in the requirements when necessary.

Management of the various aspects of the projects that were happening concurrently could have been handled better, especially with regards to the recording and tracking of issues reported. However, this may be an inevitable trade-off given the budget of the project.

Ravi Soni - the owner and lead developer at ExpressTech promptly gave us a reasonable quote and we hired them for this project. We were delighted at the outcome. The project was completed in time. Our client is very happy and so are we. Ravi - in particular was very responsive, professional and communicative through out.

We had an initial call where ExpressTech gathered the requirements. Most of our communication was over e-mail, phone and web conference. Ravi clearly communicated the time it would take to complete the project. He set up milestones and achieved them in a timely manner.
