I’m the CEO of a software development firm based in Bellevue, Washington.

What challenge were you trying to address with Exper Labs?

We needed an external development firm to support our projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Exper Labs delivered a mobile and web version of a health management system for pets. They were able to take ownership of some aspects of the project and set sprints to complete it into production.

The products were done in native code for the iOS and Android platforms, and utilized Objective-C, JavaScript, and PHP.

What is the team composition?

We mainly communicated with Farhan (CEO & Founder) and several of their developers.

How did you come to work with Exper Labs?

We found them through one of our job postings online.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested around $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership ran from January 2016–March 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measured the success by tracking their deliverables and through QA testing, and Exper Labs was able to pass some of our code quality testing, timelines, and milestones to produce great results.

How did Exper Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

Exper Labs adhered to our fixed price and were highly communicative throughout the project. We had daily standups with the developers through Skype and we also had a separate schedule for hitting milestones and deliverables.

Moreover, we used JIRA and Trello as our main project management tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were very impressed with their strong development abilities and cost-effectiveness.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’ve recently expanded their communication tools and have integrated Slack into their external communication channels, so I can’t think of anything else they could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise you to stay organized from a project perspective and define your goals and the features of the product well.
