• The objective was to create a digital platform tailored for accountants seeking to streamline client onboarding and paper management entirely online. Initially, our primary focus was on developing a MVP to enhance our internal operational efficiency and automate certain internal processes. However, we are also contemplating the possibility of expanding this into a subscription-based product designed for external accountants looking to expand their client base.

We’ve started with a Product Discovery session conducted in collaboration with ithuba’s team, which was very beneficial because we were able to see some blind spots and better define our product. During the session, we’ve also decided which features or products to prioritize and build for the MVP. Following the discovery phase, the design and an interactive prototype were created, which we’ve used to collect feedback from our users. 

This prototype served as a pivotal tool for collecting user feedback. Importantly, this phase saved us both time and resources, as adjustments could be made to the prototype without having to modify any code. No actual code development occurred during this stage. After compiling and incorporating user feedback, the project transitioned to the development phase. 

Development iterations were established, and progress was visible through live demos held every two weeks. This iterative development approach allowed for flexibility and adaptability as the project evolved.

Also, it gave us greater visibility and insights into your sales and distribution processes, allowing you to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions. I’m the CEO of a booking and reservation platform similar to OpenTable but targeting the Romanian market. We offer customers options to book and pre-book a table and discover various experiences. For businesses, we offer the standard listing option, but we also provide them with a suite of marketing tools they can subscribe to.

We needed help with mobile app development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ithuba has designed and developed the mobile apps we need for our platform. Initially, we discussed with them the different needs we had for our customer- and client-facing apps. Since then, they’ve developed native iOS and Android apps, as well as a cross-platform app. Additionally, they’ve done some web development work, creating an administration portal with dashboards so that we can manage our apps.

We’ve worked with a project manager and a team of developers.

I’ve spent around $150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We measure ithuba’s success by their fast delivery rates and quality of their deliverables. Their work is clean and error-free, and our apps haven’t presented any issues after any of our releases, which has been nice to see.

How did ithuba perform from a project management standpoint?

ithuba’s project management is top-notch. We communicate via emails, text messages, and phone calls, depending on the urgency of the matter. We also have a shared Slack channel.

ithuba’s dedication is impressive. They put a lot of time and effort into finding the right solutions for our challenges, and they offer a good customer service level.

Software development, we needed a new native Android mobile app. We wanted to migrate an existing Xamarin project to Android and improve the User Experience.

We’ve selected ithuba by recommendation. And, by the way they react to the challenge!

We had multiple iterations in order to cover all the features/modules successfully. Ithuba focused on de backend side partially and developed the native Android app from scretch.

They constantly worked close to the needs of our clients, to provide adequate solutions. They are a solid team of professionals, and I can say about Ithuba that they are a partener.

Our communication is close, mostly through e-mail, phone, and Skype. We developed a good relationship.
