The system should include search and filtering opportunities, a calculator and a payment system with a personal cabinet for users and providers.

The platform had to produce daily updates of the information on tariffs and service packages, and allow users to perform calculations for consumed energy from different providers. Due to the presence of several electric providers who produce energy in different ways, a special approach to aggregation of prices for service packages had to be applied. Fast changes in data can influence the final monthly price for consumers and calculation formulae or the checking account of the person. All these interconnections had to appear in the logic of the software. The control panel for the suppliers had to be at the same time reliable and simple with consideration of high load and security.

We had several interviews with different companies that offer custom software development services. Our primary intention was to get the product developed from scratch as far as we had only an overall idea and a generalised technical task. Besides the implementation of the initial idea we brought to the team, they improved it with their own suggestions. One of the most prominent - is the introduction of multi-level automation of the software core functions. The team developed the special platform with a control panel for users and energy providers. While making architecture, they took into account the high load and a wide range of functions and customisable options of the calculator.

All developed modules were successfully integrated into the software system. Filter and analysis features became the most recognizable by our target user groups. Phased development, flexible management, business analysis and use of advanced technologies allowed EVNE Developers to respond quickly to difficulties and challenges in the development process.

The project manager led the project team with the use of clear Agile. They successfully launched the parallel process of design and coding with repetitive testing after each section's completion. The manager performed weekly meetings with us to show the progress and clarify some ideas they regularly brought to the product. As far as they could show the strong background for such features implementation, we agreed to add them. And we do not regret for such changes that influenced the business-oriented part of our software.

We liked their expertise in the field and technology. That is proved by the stable work of the existing software and effective running of our business model. It is rather pleasant to understand that somebody cares about your idea the same way as you are. In addition, the option of after-launch support helped us to avoid downtime. Hard to name. We continuously used several communication channels to discuss all vague moments and quickly made decisions.

I am the CEO of a company allowing our subscribers to manage their finances through a specialised mobile application. Before development started, the team analyzed the existing solutions in the market with similar functional scope. That was needed to outline the strong points of the solutions and define the unique combinations of functional modules to suit the business goal. After this, the team made an architect analysis on the division of the solution into functional modules, for future scalability and stable work of the system under high load and numerous requests from users.

As far as the application should run on Android and iOS, the design prototype was developed with the consideration of the specific points of each of them. After development aside from unit tests, comprehensive quality assurance testing took place, both automatic and manual. As the final step, the team introduced the deployment of the apps in two stores together with the adjustment of the accounts and filling in the necessary forms, privacy statements and analytics.

As a result of the development, we received two apps with similar functions, for iOS and Android, that were created by a single team. It was successfully launched in the market and the first adopters already tried them and submitted reliable feedback on the system. With that, we can move forward and apply the next ideations that are in our roadmap. We are going to continue with EVNE Developers as they showed their reliability and involvement in our product.

Together with the team we successfully managed to perform front-end development, modification of old interface, as well as support services for the system. As far as the area of the product is a business startup, it required constant improvement and implementation of new features according to long-term strategy. Such an approach was successfully reached with the communication skills of the developers. They resulted in the complete refusal from daily long-term meetings that wasted too many resources.

We've mainly used Slack for direct communication and Trello for creating Backlogs and sprint catalogs. Redmine was used for time tracking and budget tracking.

Sometimes communication was a little bit challenging when request was made from the client, to project manager to the developer, especially when the project manager changed. But as a long-term project, this was foreseeable and EVNE was always responsive on clarifying issues and finding a common ground.

I am the CEO and general manager of BWB Marketing, which is located in Israel. Our company manages websites on behalf of clients and decides what will be developed and designed. It’s hard to say, given that they haven’t developed entire websites for us. There are many moving parts to the work. Attributing an X% increase to them would not be correct, professionally-speaking.

I began working with EVNE Developers’ owner, then continued communicating with other resources. I have been pleased with everyone on the project management side. For me, the most important aspects are communication and the attitude of partners. I know that, when I assign a project to EVNE Developers, it will be managed. In my eyes, this involves a few parts. Some are more professional and related to task delegation. Others are related to how the client’s expectations are managed, with respect to deadlines.

I don’t know how tasks are delegated, and I like this fact. I don’t care what happens behind the scenes. There is one person who talks to me, and who knows me and my project. If he doesn’t know a specific answer, he will check, but I can make an agreement on deadlines. I haven’t seen the technical side of project management, but rather the front side, which is more important than anything. Constantly missed deadlines and miscommunication would have made me leave EVNE Developers a long time ago. Deadlines are always missed in this field, but there is a way of communicating that to the client and proposing alternative paths for catching up. This is how I manage projects with my own clients, and it’s how EVNE Developers manages the work with me.

The only measure I have is the websites, which everybody can see. The project is for a big electronics retailer in Germany and they are extremely satisfied with the work EVNE has done on their site. They have shown the site to other people and they have praised it a couple of times internally and externally. If my customer is satisfied, then I am too.

Our project manager is available nearly 24/7. I can always contact him either at work or from home in the evening. In the morning, he is the first to write to me when I’m still in the car driving to the office. He’s performing extremely well.
