I’m the executive director of a nonprofit organization that offers out-of-school programs for 6th–12th graders. We focus on academic success, mental wellness, and healthy lifestyles in partnership with the community to support teen development.

What challenge were you trying to address with Etcetera?

We needed help developing a web app for students to register for our program and award points for participation.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Etcetera has designed, developed, and deployed a native iOS and Android app with features for tracking points and rewards, program browsing and registration, and surveys. The team has also created an admin portal web app with features for managing points and rewards, integrating with Daxko, creating surveys, tracking inventory, making announcements, and viewing a dashboard of metrics.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Etcetera has launched the application for student use. We’ve measured the impact of the app through the number of downloads.

How did Etcetera perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve had a good experience with Etcetera. Jamie (Founder) listens carefully to our requests and professionally encourages us to complete work tasks so he can continue to meet our deadlines. We communicate through virtual meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Jamie has been able to relay his technical knowledge to our non-technical team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Etcetera was tasked with formatting a Raspberry Pi to run my companies mobile app on a proprietary touch screen we use for trade show demos.

Our Skimmer mobile app is able to run on an Elo touchscreen device

Jamie was incredibly fast, turning this around in a few days. His design was elegant, documentation was provided, and it communication was fantastic.
