 Ergomania worked closely with our internal teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of our operations. From there, they developed a roadmap for the software platform that would integrate seamlessly with our existing infrastructure while being robust enough to handle future expansion. 
The development process involved designing and building a cutting-edge platform to optimize our production line, incorporating real-time data processing, performance monitoring, and predictive maintenance capabilities.  

Ergomania also ensured the new system was integrated with our existing ERP and IoT systems, facilitating smooth communication across all departments. A significant part of the project was creating an intuitive, user-friendly interface that would empower our employees to operate the system with minimal training.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had worked on 2 key projects:

1. Launching content section in the Pampers App. Maria helped us with the user interviews part and thanks to those insights we managed to role out the content feature that drives significant engagement to our app
2. We are working on a confidential innovative feature as part of the Pampers eco-system.
3. With Maria and Anika's support, we manage to validate the product with users as we develop it. It's an ongoing discovery. Thanks to this iterative approach we managed to save a lot of unnecessary development and "guessing".

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We practically integrated their people into our team. The culture and attitude are great. And it works very well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to find the talents in the market and agility are the most impressive things.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I find that they are much stronger in UX vs. UI.

I am one of the two owners of Finnoconsult. I am also the managing director together with the other owner.

What challenge were you trying to address with ERGOMANIA Product Design Agency?

We needed help with UI and UX design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have done three projects together with them so far, and we have been very satisfied. One project was an application design, one was a website design, and then they also helped us create a pitch stack for a new business idea.

We also have a subsidiary in Germany that is mostly active in marketing, and ERGOMANIA created the website for them. It wasn’t that interactive, as it’s more of a standard agency website, but they did it very well and it is exactly up to the requirements. I think it was developed on WordPress.

We also gave them the requirements for an app design. When they had questions, they would ask and then come back to us with a draft. We checked it, gave our feedback, and then they created the final version. It was an iterative process, and it worked very well.

We worked with the director, who was our main contact, and then we had two senior designers and two junior designers as well.

How did you come to work with ERGOMANIA Product Design Agency?

We have another company in Hungary, and one of our colleagues knew them and recommended that we try to work with them.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent a little over $50,000 on the three projects we did together.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in May 2019, and the work was completed in September 2020. The project has ended, and we would be happy to work with them again. Due to Coronavirus at the moment, it is a little bit difficult for us with new projects. We are hopeful that we will work with them in the future, but at the moment, we don’t have an active project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had our requirements, and we tested the work against our requirements to see if they were fulfilled or not. These were based on test cases that were created from our original requirements.

The main communication was through the director and this worked very well. In our development, we usually use Jira and such tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They came up with their own ideas and were not shy about sharing them, which is always good because the results were better than if they had just implemented what we wanted without any challenges.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We were happy, so there is nothing negative to say.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They are a good company, and you should hire them. Work closely together with anyone that you work with. If you have frequent meetings, discuss the requirements, implement the outcomes, then you will get good results. That’s basically valid for anyone.

It is the leading company that offers Personalized and Independent Consulting in Hungary, it was founded in 2014. Through the new websites, we were looking to increase our online conversion.

Ergomania’s solution was very professional, and well thought out. First, they made research, created the concept and only after that designed the wireframes and the user interface. In the research phase, they conducted interviews with us and our customers. They analyzed our previous website’s data and presented their findings based on: Benchmark Analysis Webtraffic analysis based on Google Analytics data User behavior analysis based on screen recordings in HotJar We had 2 half-day workshops, built personas and user journeys to better understand our users’ behavior. Apart from designing the wireframes and the final UI of our website, they also created and developed 3 new calculators that help users calculate their pension plans, and tested these with real users.

Ergomania delegated two UX and a UI designer (Balázs Dömsödi Senior UX Designer, Vanda Rózsa Tóth Junior UX Designer, and Levente Kovács UI Designer), and from our side the Marketing Director (László Sára) and I were participating.

The project is not online yet, but we are very satisfied with the results.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication with Ergomania’s team was excellent, we had regular online and personal meetings and weekly design reviews with the whole project team. They were very responsive and proactive throughout the whole project.

The design system should establish consistencies and guiding principles when it comes to UX and UI design in our platform.

We've met CEO Andras Rung at a fintech conference where he delivered an inspiring presentation on common UX mistakes at fintech companies.

We relied on ERGOMANIAs expertise and experience when it comes to delivering the content of the Design System, both written and visually. From our part I was responsible for bringing people on board and reviewing the content.

What was the team composition?

We initially started the project with 1 medior UX designer from the end of ERGOMANIA but after a discussion with us the vendor added more senior designers to the project when they noticed that this would benefit the project. I worked mostly with a core team of 2 people from the side of ERGOMANIA.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The design system has been adopted by our QA engineers and developers for creating and testing new features in our platform. The largest success of the collaboration is that our design discussions revolve less around matters of taste and more around guiding principles as defined in the design system. This increases the efficiency of our product development.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We've worked remotely and this has worked well for us. ERGOMANIA setup a slack channel and Jira environment for the project for better project management.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They've demonstrated growth in terms of understanding our product; in the beginning we had to guide the designers quite a bit which is understandable given the nature of our business.

We've now come to a point in which we are comfortable to hand over complex assignments knowing that the amount of rework is limited. As a final note I want to say I'm very impressed with the versatility and the commitment of the team members involved.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The project started off a bit rocky but ERGOMANIA quickly noticed this and made the necessary adjustments to bring it to a success.

We hired Ergománia to introduce our company to the Service Design and Design Thinking approach while preparing the redesign of our customer service flows.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to get to know the Service Design and Design Thinking method through an actual project. In this project, we wished to create personas, service blueprints and customer journeys, and we asked Ergománia to suggest a better, optimal solution.

During the project, we participated in several workshops. In these, we mapped out our customer’s personas, the service blueprints, and customer journeys. After we created these elements, Ergománia gave us their suggestion on how to optimize it.

From our side, 2 colleagues from customer service and 1 colleague from process organisations department have participated with me and one of my colleagues, and 3 service design professionals from Ergománia’s side.

The Service Design and Design Thinking methodologies have gained popularity within the company, and it is embedded in our mind. I’m always happy to go to their events to keep up with the latest trends.

During the project, we’ve created one team by continuously working together. Communication and workflow was easy, as we seamlessly integrated one team into another

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They taught us a new methodology in a short period of time. They have a solid methodological foundation, their availability was great and their office site has an excellent view.

What challenge were you trying to address with ERGOMAINA Product Design Agency?

We’re developing a platform that’s a unique visualization of the investment market. It allows investors to compare and build investment portfolios. We were seeking a succinct way to present this complex financial product to the average investor, and we were particularly seeking UI/UX support. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

ERGOMAINA completely revamped our existing interface and validated our ideas around visualizing the investment market. We worked with them to create user flows, and they also conducted user surveys and interviews to determine what would be best for our customers.

Ensuring that the platform would be responsive on all devices, they then launched into designing the UI/UX of our product. They replaced our initial interface with something much more fine-tuned and intuitive.

What is the team composition?

I believe we worked with four team members, which included UI/UX designers as well as survey specialists.

I’d worked with them previously when I was the digital head of a Hungarian bank. So, when it came to this UX/UI project, they were in the shortlist of vendors we decided to interview. We settled on ERGOMAINA because we sensed that they were a team of experts who could meet our needs.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

ERGOMAINA has done a great job of communicating a sophisticated concept on a small screen in a comprehensible way. While designing user flows for a small phone screen was a major challenge, they’ve handled it very well.

The feedback we’ve collected from international clients—throughout the design process—has been quite positive. We’ve seen great responses both in Hungary and in the UK. We’re very pleased with their work.

How did ERGOMAINA Product Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

ERGOMAINA engages with us like a true partner, and this attitudinal approach makes a huge difference. They handled our roadblocks and challenges very personally and worked with us to overcome them.

We now have a great relationship where we’ll meet regularly to discuss their ideas about new initiatives; we’ve come to really value their opinions. They’re also excellent communicators who meet every deadline.

What did you find most impressive about them?

While it’s difficult to highlight only one aspect, I’d emphasize their experience with UI/UX designs for the financial sector. They have extensive experience working for big FinTech players in Hungary, so they’re extremely seasoned in this particular industry.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really. I experienced a personal learning curve about the importance of UI/UX design. Mapping out user journeys is far more important than solely creating an appealing look and feel.
