After reviewing the legacy backend and confirming its quality, we jointly decided to rewrite it in Laravel to align with our long-term technology strategy. 

The scope covered: 
• Product discovery and logic workshops: multiple brainstorming sessions to validate streaming flows, monetization rules, and user roles. 
• Backend re-architecture & redevelopment: complete rebuild in PHP Laravel, including database redesign, API development, and real-time streaming support logic. 
• Core streaming features: development of a multi-format streaming system supporting private 1-on-1 sessions, location-based global requests, streamer monetization through public and private requests, and external-device streaming (e.g., drones). 
• Integration with existing frontend: ensuring compatibility with the partially developed client-side app and improving API consistency.

The scope of our work for the Kuka App project was quite comprehensive. We started by designing the user interface and user experience of the mobile app. Once the design was finalized, we developed the app using Flutter, a versatile framework for building mobile applications. On the backend, we utilized Laravel, a powerful PHP framework, to create the server-side logic and APIs needed to support the app's functionality. 

This included user authentication, data storage, and communication with the mobile app. For data storage, we set up a MySQL database to securely store user information and other relevant data. We also implemented Redis, an in-memory data store, to improve the app's performance by caching frequently accessed data. To ensure the app's real-time capabilities, we integrated Firebase, which provided features like real-time database updates, notifications, and cloud storage for user-generated content. 

In addition to the app itself, we deployed it on an Apache web server to make it accessible to users. We also used Bitbucket for version control and collaboration among our development team. A big part of the project was the integration of an AI research engine. Key Deliverables: 

1. User-friendly mobile app with an intuitive design.

4. Redis caching for improved performance.

Overall, our scope of work encompassed the design, development, and deployment of the Kuka App, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for office workers using the electronic library.

Companies that use our software attract 20% more employees to reading every week. The digitization of our product has helped us to track and understand the needs of our customers and their involvement in the project

They are very flexible. We had a break in our project for a few months, but when we came back it took minimal onboarding time

Are there any areas for improvement or something Empat could have done differently?

Something can always be improved. When it comes to empat, sometimes they are wrong, but I appreciate that every time they reach conclusions, they provide even more insights. I have nothing to complain about.
