I’m the co-founder and CEO of PlanOmatic, a nationwide provider of full-service marketing assets for real estate properties, whether they are under property management, owned by institutional investors, for sale by real estate agents, or, mostly, residential.

What challenge were you trying to address with emBlue + Zenman?

Our website didn’t accurately reflect our current services because we had gone through a pivot. We needed a new website design. We also needed to brainstorm a strategy wireframe and create a lead generation source for our company. I had already worked with emBlue + Zenman, so I hired them again.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The major scope of emBlue + Zenman’s work was around the ideation portion of our project. Our teams got together to discuss the project and our objective, business model, and strategy. They also listened to us very carefully to understand our sales and marketing processes.

We worked a lot on the ideation of how to accurately reflect our services and engage with our clients. All the knowledge transfer was necessary for emBlue + Zenman to understand and feel like part of our organization in order to provide a good strategy wireframe and design for the project.

What is the team composition?

I worked with five people from emBlue + Zenman: Keith (US Director), a project manager, two technical people, and a designer.

How did you come to work with emBlue + Zenman?

I’ve known emBlue + Zenman for a while; this was our second project working together. I have a tremendous amount of trust in Keith. Thus, I engaged with them again, knowing that they can really follow through with all of the timelines and objectives.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $30,000–$40,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working around June 2019 and finished the project by January 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our positioning in the industry has been growing thanks to the impact of emBlue + Zenman’s work. Our lead conversion rate is really high, while our conversion rate is really low. Additionally, we’ve seen more leads and business as a result of our new website and everything that we’ve been doing.

How did emBlue + Zenman perform from a project management standpoint?

emBlue + Zenman was great. We used Basecamp for project management, and they had a project manager assigned to us so that everything was kept in line. That was, probably, one of the best aspects of our engagement.

What did you find most impressive about them?

emBlue + Zenman’s empathy was impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We expected a quicker turnaround time, so it would be good if they could tighten their timelines up a little bit.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

emBlue + Zenman doesn’t compete on price, but you will get what you pay for. Trust that your project will be done in an elite manner, so what they charge is very reasonable. They’re also very honest; they won’t pitch you a price and then make a lot of changes. It is what it is, so trust the process.

We wanted to grow our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

emBlue + Zenman has an automated process that takes some of the headache away from us in terms of following through with clients and customers. As part of the process, we went through onboarding and shared our content work and brand guidelines from the past. From there, emBlue + Zenman taught us which parts of our process could stand to be automated. They help with an automated process with great content.

We work with Keith (US Director), Alejo (South America Director), and an account manager.  

How did you come to work with emBlue + Zenman?

We tried working with a different company but the automation was lacking. We learned about emBlue + Zenman, and they did a demonstration. We decided to work together from there.

We’ve spent less than $1,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2021, and our work is ongoing.

We love the automation so far. They bend over backward to make the process as smooth and beneficial as possible.

They’ve been spot on. Anytime we’ve had Zoom calls or Google Meets, we provide what we think is needed. They always give feedback, which is great.

Their responsiveness and willingness to go the extra mile stand out.

No, nothing comes to mind.

Be open and honest from the start. Tell them your expectations. They’ll go out of their way to try to make that happen.

The deciding factors were how quick and easy they could make this. Also working with good people at a reasonable price.

We first looked over my products and with my overall goal was. Then we set up a step-by-step process on how I want to nurture my clients in my email list.

They helped me get my e-book in place. We are also working on developing the email campaigns right now

The workflow has been great. We sat in agenda and we have stayed on course and I’m very excited about what’s to come.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I found most impressive was the knowledge and expertise that everybody brought to the meeting. They really seem to grasp my ideas and help me format them and put them into something that’s functional.

I think they are doing everything that I’ve asked him to and also helping me develop a vision for years to come.

Our website needed a total overhaul to reflect our distinctive brand and the growing nature of our services nationwide. This was a turnkey project that required significant effort, a very detailed discovery, tight project planning, complex integration and thoughtful design.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked at all the best website design and development companies that we knew as being first in class, and we decided that Zenman offered us the most intimate experience where we could be confident the end product would best reflect who we are and the audience we best appeal too.

Very comprehensive project, I'm a complicated founder with a lot of ideas, and that needed some reigning in as much as it required engaging ideation meetings. Discovery was all very detailed. Iterations were at a minimum because of the work up front. Design exceeded all expectations. And our audience response has been outstanding ever since.

I worked with about 6 people, each with a key role that impacted the end product.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The immeasurable outcomes have been the enthusiastic responses from our target audience, who almost universally have said that in researching us and vising our website, felt like we were the partner they were looking for because of the energy and positivity they could feel through our site.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was tight and very much in sync throughout, much was expected of me initially and their team kept me on my toes for good reason.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I loved the first designs... I couldn't believe how accurately and beautifully they represented what I described as wanting.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I was 100% satisfied with how things were accomplished. Any bumps in the road were normal, and were handled professionally and quickly.

I’m the owner of Antoine du Chez and we are a full service Salon and Day Spa. We perform haircuts, hair color, skin care, massage therapy, nail care and more.

Our website and brand had been sitting for quite sometime. We needed someone to come in and create an eye catching and user friendly experience that made it easy to navigate through and convert potential guests to our Salon and Spa.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I interviewed multiple companies to gage a few things that were important to us. First we needed a creative eye. Someone that could really make our site beautiful yet subtle. We also wanted to have someone help with functionality and performance. We didn’t want people to leave the site because they were confused. We also wanted someone easy to work with that had our best interests at hand.

We first decided to overhaul the entire site. To do so took a lot of planning and trimming from the previous website. We needed to cut back on our content but still have enough for our potential customers to understand who we are. We broke the project down into sprints that allowed us to stay in touch with progress and yet let them move things along at a decent speed. They used base amp which really helped us collaborate on the project.

They built Amy’s a team of three. Each person had a role and it made it extremely easy to touch base when necessary with the right people. There were no confusions.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We finished the project as agreed upon. They built us access to our sure and taught us how to look at analytics and how to update and change things when necessary.

Like I said above, using basecamp was so easy. Every time something got done, we would receive a notification with tasks we needed to complete or a summary of what was done. It really made things easy rather than trying to email back and fourth.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

All in all, the team's creativity and vision were honestly above my expectations. To design something in my space that is beautiful, subtle and not over the top is hard. Our industry can be extremely Avant Garde and we wanted something that popped but wasn’t over the top. They delivered it on point.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not at all. It really didn’t have any hiccups that I can remember

We wanted to have a highly responsive website design that offers an authentic look into who we are as a company.

We vetted about 10 different vendors that offered a huge range of proposals. We picked a vendor that we felt understood our brand and had integrity.

They began with a discovery process and then worked on the UX/UI. After that, they worked on the content, the development, and finally rolled out the design.

We had a project manager, a designer, a developer, a content developer, and additional resources as needed.

The logo they developed really helped set the tone of our company. The color matching they did and the overall look and feel of the site really fit what we do.

It was great. They used Basecamp and kept us informed throughout the process. They were on top of things and kept us in line as needed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by their commitment from beginning to end. Their passion to get the website right for us stood out.

No. A couple of resources did come and go, but it worked out for the best.

Zenman was selected primarily based on the quality of their portfolio, and broader digital marketing expertise.

The primary deliverable was a fully redesigned WordPress-based website. Incorporated into the site was our full digital marketing technology stack (HubSpot, etc.).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The quality of the website was fantastic and we absolutely experienced a meaningful increase in our lead generation.

We had regular project updates via meeting/email with our Project Manager, and had access to their internal Basecamp tool to offer feedback and get updates.
