We had a poor-quality website and needed Elogic to fix it. Our previous service provider left the website with many issues that we tasked Elogic to fix.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Elogic fixed our Magento 2 site that had many problems. Their team first did a full code review and scoped out all of the site’s issues. For example, there were a lot of issues around the marketplace functionality. Then, Elogic fixed all the existing bugs, including the issues with our email and invoicing systems. They got into the marketplace plug-in and rewrote its logic too.
Then, their team started building out new functionalities. They worked with different modules that they also customized. Elogic rolled out new features too such as geographic exclusivity to show people who bought products in their area. Their team's still moving the product forward.

The most important metrics are the site’s speed and usability. The site was incredibly slow and Elogic made it five-times faster, which is great. They probably doubled the usability of the site if I had to put it into a metric. Their team definitely fixed the site.
How did Elogic Commerce perform from a project management standpoint?
They have a can-do attitude and are super responsive. I can send them a Skype message any time of the day or night and they’ll be on it. We use email, Google Meets, and ActiveCollab to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their responsiveness is their most impressive quality. They’re really on it. Other people complain about agencies burying their projects into the mix but that doesn’t happen with Elogic. Their team always responds to us and makes requests happen then and there.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I like that Elogic started on our project straight away. However, it may have been helpful for them to have provided us with a more formal onboarding process. They could've assigned a person to set out a bit more of a road map.

We meet deadlines, and the communication is pretty open. If we go outside of an agreed-upon time frame, they communicate that there are unexpected problems or challenges that they need to invest more time in.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We get good quality for a reasonable price compared to the Australian market. They have enough resources to facilitate all of our requests. They also learn on the go. One example is the implementation of our bank merchant facility and a third party, ready-to-use application. They built the integration with the API from scratch. It works well.

They should not stop improving themselves, but there are no specific examples of where they should improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Agree on the strategy of the implementation and the budget, and track budget versus actuals. They provide their timesheets with a breakdown of the work they perform during the month. Their billing structure is time-based — it’s not a fixed price. Potentially for some clients, it’d be beneficial to have a fixed price.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Elogic Commerce helped us migrate our e-commerce site from Magento 1 to Magento 2. They also did some customization, including installing software to support Arabic writing from right to left. They put the URLs in Arabic and installed our payment gateway.
They transferred all our credentials to log in to payment services and changed our URL because we had rebranded. They also did SEO and migrated us to a new hosting service, AWS, to support Magento 2. The team tested in a test environment to ensure everything was working properly.

For example, when our hosting provider refused to accommodate us with Magento 2, the team recommended Amazon, explaining that they had a hosting server nearby. They also switched it over very quickly. It was impressive.
How did Elogic Commerce perform from a project management standpoint?
They did a good job of managing the project. The team kept us informed of what they needed from us, as well as any progress. They checked with us before making changes and were very communicative throughout the entire process.
They were accurate in their estimated hours for the project, and the delays that occurred were not their fault. We used Colab to see the progress, and we communicated via WhatsApp.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re knowledgeable, and each member has a specialty. They made the project, which was quite large, feel seamless.

Elogic has worked on at least three of our customers’ projects. The team has helped us with backend development on Magento and WooCommerce. We’re responsible for the UX/UI part and they’re responsible for the development part.
At the start of the engagement, we needed to create the technical assignment for our projects. We relied on them a lot for their backend development expertise, and together, we created the assignment which would satisfy both the design and development expectations of our customer.
They also provided the project management of the whole development process. The three projects are now finished and delivered to the customer but they still supply support and maintenance.

The team was always online and very responsive to every message. They met deadlines. The deadlines included customer feedback implementation.

The management system is the best part of the engagement. They also have very strong and fast-responding project managers. They responded even during non-working hours. The development is stable, like it should be.

They could maybe expand in order to motivate us to give them even more projects than we currently do. They’re not limited by their size but if we work with them, we try to be gradual. Maybe in the future, just to assure us that we can scale the teams when we work on big projects in order to not just create one project at a time but several projects in a row.

We had stand up calls every other week and reviews every other two weeks. We also had a general call with the client every month. This was the first project that I didn’t have to intrude upon to make any changes with project management and I’ve been in this space for six years. It was fantastic.

This project wasn't huge, so a dedicated PM wasn't needed. Communication was managed through Skype and was effective enough.

Easy to get started. They only accept jobs that they know that they can do, and are good at managing expectations. If there's a problem to resolve, then the owner is approachable and pragmatic. All good.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Since we began our engagement, we've rapidly increased the Google page speed scores. The revenue from our site has almost tripled since eLogic Commerce started working on it.
They've improved everything about it in general, especially the usability. We haven't seen any warning signs that anything has gone wrong at all.

From a project management standpoint, eLogic Commerce has had an amazing performance. I would give them full marks in this area.

The team's general technical knowledge and Magento expertise distinguish them from other providers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Elogic Commerce?
We wanted to expand our business online with an e-commerce website. Because we target a niche market, we wanted a solution to help customers see how our sockets fit into their interior. We engaged Elogic Commerce to build a Magento platform for our business.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We set up a call with Elogic Commerce to describe our business challenge and requirements and to see how they would approach the project. Elogic Commerce supplied us with a brief of the design. Their design team then created mockups and sketches of the design. After that, we defined the technical scope.
Elogic Commerce first built a visual configuration tool; it allows customers to upload a photo of a room and see how one of our sockets fits into their interior. The feature needed to be fast and user-friendly, which required extra care from their developer team. Elogic Commerce also linked our CRM platform—which contains all of our products’ prices—to a European price conversion system. That way we could easily adjust our prices depending on our customers’ locations and the latest currency values. Lastly, they developed a filter module to sort through our products easily on our web store.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a project manager, two backend developers, two frontend developers, and a QC engineer.
How did you come to work with Elogic Commerce?
We were looking for a local developer that specialized in Magento and could provide certified developers. We narrowed a shortlist down to a few developers. Elogic Commerce met these criteria and further impressed us with their project manager, who demonstrated strong experience and a high level of professionalism.
