elk Marketing took a strategic and thoughtful approach to improving our PPC campaigns, and their team really took the time to understand our goals and challenges from the start. They crafted a customized plan that fit our specific needs and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was covered.

To start, they built a full-funnel campaign structure that targeted every stage of our customer journey. They focused on two key areas: prospecting to attract new prospects, and retargeting to re-engage users who had already interacted with us. From there, they ran detailed A/B tests to compare Meta’s manual audience targeting against Advantage+ automated targeting across various audience segments.

For Interest Audiences:

Manual targeting outperformed Advantage+ in new opt-ins, higher conversion volume, higher CVR, and lower CPA. However, Advantage+ pulled in a stronger AOV ($102 vs. $59), therefore its ROAS was higher (at 1.26 vs. 0.96).

For Broad and Lookalike (LAL) Audiences — Manual Targeting Outperformed:

48% Higher Conversion Rate (CVR): Manual targeting drove significantly more sales from new audiences.

106% Higher Average Order Value (AOV): Customers acquired through manual targeting spent more, directly boosting revenue.

3.11x Return on Ad Spend (ROAS): For every dollar we spent, we saw a return of $3.11—a huge improvement.

Lower Cost Per Purchase: Manual targeting drove purchases for just $32 compared to $61 with Advantage+.
For Retargeting and Remarketing Audiences — Advantage+ Outperformed:

52% Higher CVR: Advantage+ re-engaged past visitors and turned them into buyers with impressive efficiency.

29% Higher AOV: Returning customers spent more, proving the power of Advantage+ in retargeting efforts.
In the end, elk’s work gave us the clarity we needed to get the best ROI out of our campaigns. We saw significant improvements across ad metrics, and we now have a clear roadmap for our future PPC efforts.

Furthermore, our website now has 87 keywords ranking for SERP features, which is a 14.3% increase from where we started before elk. Our flagship product now holds position #1, affirming our brand's market dominance. Other key products highlight a strategic SEO approach that goes beyond keywords to position us well in the digital landscape.

ELK marketing had done a good job with providing performance data whenever improvements were made but I think more data/analysis is always great to see even in areas where there weren’t any lifts. That way, we can identify opportunity areas better and pivot the focus if needed to work on the areas with gaps. Additionally, I think aligning on the set of data points we want to track every week or bi-weekly as part of the onboarding discussion could be helpful too!
