I am the IT Manager of Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association

We are a nonprofit that schedules tennis/pickleball league play year-round.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

Our project is an ongoing management of our website with constant enhancement work.  We add new leagues and functionality to provide our members with the best user experience.  We email our 60,000+ members when schedules come out.  We have jobs to register teams, assign them to levels, put them in divisions, and give them schedules.  Our rules committee is constantly bringing new requirements that need to be added to the site.  We have a small office staff of 6 and run with 150 volunteers who do all their work on the ALTA website.  The website is our business.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It is a success when each enhancement functions as desired.  

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

We have a good process flow going.  If something becomes urgent, they pull it forward and respond to the concern.  We have a lot of irons in the fire.  They follow my lead to know which items ALTA wants to prioritize.  They set us up in Assembla to manage all the requests, and it works well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We got connected through Dave Bernard of Intellection Group.  I've been with ALTA since 2014 and have worked with 3 different vendors for website management.  Working with Ivan and his team has been the best experience I have had.  I appreciate their responsiveness and how they work to find the best solutions for our application.  

Are there any areas for improvement or something ELIS Co could have done differently?

I think they are doing a great job.  I always look for ways to function better.  If we identify something, we talk about it, make a change, and move on.  ie., we're in different time zones.  We've worked that out.

I’m the CEO of The Intellection Group, Inc., an IT company that designs and builds custom, innovative technology solutions, including advanced data systems and emerging tech applications, for leading companies and government agencies across multiple industries worldwide.

What challenge were you trying to address with ELIS Co?

We hired ELIS Co to become our primary development partner. We needed this because our business was expanding, and we needed help.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ELIS Co has handled many projects over the years. These projects have covered a wide variety of industries, application types, and system complexities. The team has been responsible for building, testing, and delivering complete systems according to client requests and specifications. Sometimes, they’ve taken over troubled systems and fixed and completed those.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with 2–8 teammates from ELIS Co.

How did you come to work with ELIS Co?

We found them through a referral. We chose them over other options because they were a great culture fit, offered good value for the cost, and had company values aligned with ours.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in October 2004, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

ELIS Co's work has resulted in customer satisfaction. We drop code every day, resulting in regular customer feedback, to which we are very responsive.

How did ELIS Co perform from a project management standpoint?

They employ a super-agile SDLC approach, shifting resources around as needed. On-time or early delivery has been a hallmark of their work. We communicate via email and messaging apps, and through occasional in-person visits.

What did you find most impressive about them?

ELIS Co is a great partner. They are open and honest about the work and how to best accomplish the customer's needs.
