They gave us a scalable website structure that supports analytics tracking, online engagement, and future membership and donation growth.

We were impressed by how Elevation captured the heart of our organization's mission while creating a modern, unified brand across all our programs. Their team has a rare ability to translate complex community initiatives into clear, engaging digital experiences.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Elevation could have done differently?

The only slight hiccup we experienced was the first version of the site they delivered was not on target with what we felt we articulated, so there was a process of getting it back on track to what we were looking for. They stayed engaged, patient, and eager to get it right, and we were very pleased with the outcome.

Our new website was launched within about 4 months of starting our work with Elevation. It is a beautiful representation of our organization and mission, and we have already received so many compliments on it!

Everyone we worked with at Elevation was super responsive and quick to answer questions. They provided us a timeline of the project up front and stayed on track throughout the project so we could launch the website on time. No one at our organization has much web design knowledge, and the folks at Elevation answered all of our questions and provided extra support as needed.

All deliverables were given on time, and all reflected a unique, streamlined brand for Global Forest Generation. Specific to the website, Elevation delievered a product with better SEO, a logical site architecture that showcases our conservation impact, a more accessible design, and a streamlined user experience.

Elevation's project management was next level. They were thorough and responsive, remaining courteous when answering both our big and small questions. They kept to their timelines and delivered exceptional products. At every turn, Elevation came through, which eased my anxiety. Their service is a big reason why I would work with them again…you don’t want a creative firm leaving you in the lurch, no matter how good they are.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Besides their service, I was impressed with the range of experts on the team. Whenever we had questions, whether technical or creative, they brought in someone knowledgeable to help us troubleshoot. There was truly nothing they could not do. I also appreciated that Elevation works exclusively with nonprofits, so they understand our ecosystems and constraints. And they are so reasonably priced. We would not have been able to re-do our website without them. Other firms were quoting us twice as much...but the product we got from Elevation did not skimp on quality. Finally, we work in South America, so it was a bonus to have Spanish-speaking Elevation staff who also understood the regions in which we work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Elevation could have done differently?

The only comment I have here is that once or twice it fell like Elevation was trying to "up-sell" us on services. Which I understand. But Elevation was very reasonable when I came back and said, "we can't afford that." So, it's not a major complaint.

The communication with our project manager, Maga, was impeccable. I am an artist and administrator. I learned so much about the process of web development. Maga was extremely patient and just a pleasure to work with. She managed our expectations very well and adjusted or made adjustments before we understood they were needed. 

When additional support was necessary, it was not proposed from a salesy place, but for the betterment of the experience and/or for longterm forward movement. 

This is what kept us within the timeline. This is what drove us to do the work necessary as 49 years comes with a dense amount of copy. We did not know where to begin, but got the support through Elevation to find and use our voice.

Whoops! I may have answered that in the last question. Yes, they delivered on time and before time. There was never a waiting game. In fact, they waited on us. Maga was extremely supportive, considerate, and patient. I could not ask for a better experience especially because this was not my wheelhouse. Elevation is truly the best of the best and I am so glad we chose them. They delivered far beyond what we expected.

Elevation is personable. There was nothing stuffy about them, and still business-oriented. This is the energy that attracted me to them. The diversity was also important to our choice. They also centered on the service of accessibility, and we found this to be very impressive. Elevation is modern and forward thinking and forward acting in the culture of the business and that is what PWP will always align with.  When you have experienced the best, why would you go any other way? With absolute certainty and confidence, I will always recommend Elevation or bring them to the forefront of possibilities. 10 out of 10 I would do it again!

Our project manager was great to work with. She was friendly, happy to explain things to us, patient with our copious amount of questions, and would always find answers if she didn't have them.

I appreciated the team's approach, where they had specialists work on different parts of the project, from design to development, to SEO and marketing.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Elevation could have done differently?

The process involved a lot of different platforms for communicating and providing feedback on the website design. There was Basecamp, where most project management took place, but also Instagantt, Invision, Pastel, GatherContent... it would be nice if this were more consolidated. It was sometimes hard to keep track of where comments had been made. (This might not be their fault. IDK if a program exists that can do the work of all these, but it would be nice.)

The Colorado Lab wanted to redesign their website. The goal was to make a website that is easy to navigate by each of our three different audiences (current and potential government partners, producers of research/potential external research partners, and consumers of research interested in using our work to inform their own programs or practices) and to display project deliverables (e.g., reports, YouTube videos) in an appealing and accessible way.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Comprehensive resource library: Our old library was so difficult to maintain it had not been updated in 2 years. The new library is well designed, easier to maintain, and functions as expected.
• Custom templates: We had a need for multiple custom templates to fit our needs. Elevation met with us virtually and through several roundsd of revisions, came up with a template that meets our needs.

Items delivered on time. Responded to needs by responding to our inquiries asap and meeting with us as needed to discuss more in-depth requirements.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Specialized in nonprofit design which was instrumental in us choosing them. They had the most comprehensive proposal with the most options. Though the team is scattered throughout the world, they made every effort to virtually meet with us in our time zone.  

Are there any areas for improvement or something Elevation could have done differently?

Due to the nature of our work, we needed a lot of customization and had a lot of existing content. For customized templates, the design for one page was created with little input from our team so we requested a meeting to review what we actually needed and to see what Elevation recommended for/against our desired template structure. They did a really good job pivoting and understanding that we needed something more complex than the standard website.

I'm the director of membership and engagement at a nonprofit news organization in California.

What challenge were you trying to address with Elevation?

We needed support managing our Google Ad Grants campaigns' ad spending. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Elevation initially started testing our Google Ad Grants account. Elevation creates ad assets, and we have monthly check-ins.

What is the team composition?

Our primary contact is Rocío (Account Specialist, Digital Marketing), and she’s the main person we connect with.

How did you come to work with Elevation?

I had worked with Elevation before at a different organization. For this engagement, we've had an onboarding process and then signed the contract with the team. We first contacted Elevation through a recommendation from an accelerator group we were part of. We tried Elevation services to manage our Google Ad Grants campaigns' budget. At that time, we were a significantly smaller organization, and Elevation's services were critical because we weren't capable of managing the budget.
How much have you invested with them?

Our contract is around $5,000 a year, and we've spent roughly half that amount. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Elevation around a year ago, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to Elevation's work, we've seen a modest bump in our traffic, which has been helpful. The team is very professional and easy to work with. Elevation is a great partner that helps boost our team's capabilities. 

How did Elevation perform from a project management standpoint?

Elevation meets every deadline and budget, being very flexible. We mostly communicate by email and have monthly check-ins. During busy periods for our organization, we have more frequent check-ins with Elevation, who is constantly available to help us and adjust to us. If we need more meetings, we have weekly check-ins. Rocio is in a different country, and it's useful to connect and talk things through, as opposed to conversing via email, since sometimes we need to understand better.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Rocio is incredible. She's easy to work with and very knowledgeable. She is also professional, and every time we have a request, she does everything she can to make it happen. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm mostly impressed by Elevation's effort — they act like true partners. When the team doesn't have a clear idea of how to do something, they lean in and learn to get better. Elevation is a very talented team, and when they've needed to grow beyond that, they take that initiative and have been great. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to mind. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Be proactive in contacting Elevation because only you know what is best for your organization. Every time we've reached out, the team meets us in the motive, but you can't expect Elevation to know how to do that for you.
