I am the VP of business development for Aqua Mizer, a water conservation company. Our specialty product helps multi-resident properties conserve water by preventing toilet floods and eliminating leaks.

We wanted an updated functional layout that was more than just a place for information, one that would facilitate more engagement with potential customers.

We selected ElephantMark after an extensive research and review process with multiple southwest Florida marketing companies. We felt confident they were a company that would treat us as a partner rather than a project, a relationship we hoped to leverage for future opportunities.

The website has only recently launched, but I am already receiving positive feedback on its usability, design, and clarity.

ElephantMark was always available. The entire project moved very quickly because they never missed a meeting or a deadline and never allowed a lapse in communication. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We have found a partner who is not only technically advanced but can communicate with us easily in laymen’s terms.

I’m the former director of technical marketing at Midokura, a company that provides Cloud Networking solutions for digital enterprises.

What challenge were you trying to address with ElephantMark?

We were trying to upgrade our presence. Midokura is a global company, and we wanted a brand that was globally appealing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ElephantMark helped with the branding for our website, social ads, trade show presence, collateral pieces, etc. They provided the branding and design for all those marketing elements, including the image ads on Google. The copy was written by our internal team, and we relied on a different company for SEO and PPC.

We worked with their interactive art director.

How did you come to work with ElephantMark?

They were referred to us by a previous partner.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $150-$200 an hour, and we had them work about 20 hours a week.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in December 2014. I left the company in March 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They helped us with our test drive, which is the trial generator for our services that are part of our go-to-market strategy. ElephantMark also created image ads to get people to download our benchmark study, which was an important vehicle for gaining lead generation.

How did ElephantMark perform from a project management standpoint?

We were incredibly agile, so we needed projects and tasks finished quickly. ElephantMark was able to get things accomplished in 1–2 hours, at times. Other companies can wait three days, but we couldn’t. Sometimes, we’d need them to work on Saturday mornings, and they never charged us extra, which we appreciated.

We communicated via Skype and email, but they’re willing to use whatever you want.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their design skills are superb. In my new position, I work with another company, and ElephantMark definitely uses the latest design skills. Other firms aren’t as advanced as them. They also have pre-built templates, which save you a lot of time because you don’t have to build things from scratch.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They don’t have a lot of employees, so the skill set wasn’t as broad as I’d have liked. For example, they didn’t have UX specialists or animators.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

The better developed your project scope is, the better your partnership will be. If possible, pay per project, not per hour; it will save you money in the long-run.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The ElephantMark team did a fantastic job on the new website. Despite our small size and limited budget, they designed a very simple yet elegant site that included all of our criteria, including online registration, slide shows, and social media integration. They used our own photos and copy in creative ways to save money on stock images. Everything was done on time and on budget, and the communication could not have been smoother.

The workflow was very easy and effective. Our time and labor commitments were very low. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

ElephantMark went above and beyond, especially when in regards to SEO. Our only requirement was that the website shows up at the top of the search for our company name. They insisted on implementing keywords to improve our results in many other search options, such as our business type.

We had to reinvent our brand to focus on team building events and unique courses. We previously concentrated on job training, but shifts in the market necessitated an expansion of our product line.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ElephantMark worked closely with us to create a new brand identity. To do this, they developed new logos and other branding material as a foundation. This included choosing our brand colors and fronts to facilitate a modern contemporary aesthetic. They also created additional marketing materials like digital brochures, email campaigns and provided SEO services. Then, they assisted in redesigning our website. It was a broad project scope and they did a little bit of everything. Our efforts have been collaborative and while the initial project is complete, we’re currently working with them on other objectives.

Google Analytics show time spent on the site per user has increased exponentially with an average viewing of 3.8 pages. The conversion rate has increased and customers frequently comment that our brand and website make us stand out.

How did ElephantMark LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

Timely correspondence, accessibility, and commitment describe our experience. Joe made this project his top priority. He’s such a fair and practical person; we always know we’re getting our money’s worth. We’d communicate and video conference daily via WebEx and Google Hangouts. We often shared screens to work through parts of the project collaboratively. Joe’s allows us to go through the process at our pace, so we never feel uncomfortable with the product. He understands what we’re trying to accomplish and it’s a like a never-ending journey as we continue to develop our brand.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Joe’s patience, loyalty, and commitment to the project is hard to find among most vendors. It feels like he’s part of our company as he completely immerses himself in our objectives and challenges.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't have anything they can improve on because Joe is willing to improve himself and find solutions when needed. He’s resourceful and willing to reach out to another expert if he doesn’t know how to fix something. He’ll even take part in tasks outside his job description if that better services the project.

Our old website was built in HTML and ElephantMark helped us transition to WordPress, enhancing the look and feel of the site. They repackaged the content, making the color schemes and the layout more user-friendly. They also provided SEO services for us.

Initially, we were confuse about the price structure of the monthly retainer. They were quick to solve our confusion and offered to postpone the retention payment an extra 30 days because of the confusion.We couldn’t have been more pleased with the outcome.
