We were developing our first product—a mobile publishing platform—and needed help developing our UX/UI.

What was the scope of their involvement?

When we approached Eleken, we had developed some of the wireframes and already had a solid vision of what we wanted. The software has a publisher and a feature that allows organizations to send specific publications to different internal channels. They can pull these publications or documents—such as Word documents or PDFs—from different sources like Dropbox or Google Docs. Users can enhance the documents, preview them, and stream them in real time. The platform also offers digital rights management, as well as insights, which allows organizations to conduct analytics.

Eleken also built the application’s frontend, customizing it for each user. Every organization has their own database and platform.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We really saw success in how clearly they understood our requirements. Because of that understanding, the project didn’t have to go through many iterations. They also had very professional looking designs.

How did Eleken perform from a project management standpoint?

They had effective processes. We collaborated mostly through InDesign, and while we didn’t have prescheduled meetings, they were accommodating in coordinating meetings as needed.

The team was skilled and cooperative.

I can’t think of anything. They had helpful feedback and realistic timelines.

With every project, make sure to have ideas, wireframes, and storyboards planned before beginning the project. That will ensure that you’re comfortable with the project’s direction.

What challenge were you trying to address with Eleken?

We wanted to modernize the look and feel of our website to better reflect our brand, and produce corresponding marketing materials.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I had a mood board with a number of web design ideas. I shared this with Eleken and we worked collaboratively to design and develop the site on a WordPress framework. It’s a primarily informational site, but they built in functionalities to make it more consumer-friendly. In the past, potential clients had to call our office in order to contact us. Our new site, however, includes an online form that users can fill out to request a quote. From here, Eleken helped produce marketing content that incorporated the website’s design elements, including a brochure. While the bulk of the project is complete, they continue to make minor updates as requested.

What is the team dynamic?

I worked closely with Ilya [Founder, Eleken], who served as lead designer. Roman [Lead Generation Manager, Eleken] was our main developer, and I also worked with Veronica [Project Manager, Eleken].

I researched a number of companies on Dribbble, combing over design portfolios. Eleken’s past work aligned with my vision, and when I contacted Ilya, he was very responsive and seemed to understand my priorities immediately.

We started working together in March 2017 and the bulk of the project was completed in May.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The online form has been a big success, helping generate leads through the website. Our existing clients have commented on how much they like the site’s design, and some have even asked who we hired so they can redo their own websites.

The site’s professional design also helps us when pitching to new clients. The unfortunate truth is that companies are taken less seriously if they have a poor digital presence, but Eleken created a site that’s both informative and reflective of our position as a reputable technology security firm.

How did Eleken perform from a project management standpoint?

Even though we operated in different time zones, they were able to work around our schedule and were always responsive.

We used InVision to collaborate and communicated primarily through Skype and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive thing about their company is their ability to work quickly. If I made any sudden changes to our timeline, they were responsive enough to give a quick turnaround.

Their ability to work collaboratively to produce the end product I envisioned was also a big plus. If they disagreed with any of my ideas, they presented me with alternative suggestions and helped ensure that we reached my goal in the most efficient way possible.

No, nothing comes to mind.

You don't necessarily need to have a clear vision, as Eleken can provide a range of ideas. Just communicate your goals and priorities so they can effectively understand and manage your project.

Eleken delivered Figma designs that met our goals 100%. The designer was a genius, and the designs were terrific. Overall, the designs allowed us to move forward with our web SaaS app.

Eleken's project management was incredible and smooth. Although we didn't have goals and deadlines, the team kept producing high-quality, consistent work at a quick and regular pace. We mainly communicated through virtual meetings.

Eleken delivered high-quality work and terrific communication. The designer was amazing at taking my detailed specs and refining them to make them better. They also took my weak points and moved them along.
