They took on full engineering ownership of the platform – codebase, infrastructure, releases, incidents and technology roadmap – working as an embedded team within our business and operations workflow. They started by stabilizing the immediate operational risks. Together with our IT team, they stood up a dedicated 1:1 development environment and migrated the operating system and PHP runtime to current, supported versions in a controlled, phased rollout. Missing modules and a misconfigured database driver that had silently broken PDF generation and parts of the ERP integration for months were diagnosed and fixed. From there the work ran on parallel tracks: automated CI/CD and safe deployments, removing the dependence on a single previous developer, building production observability where none existed, hardening the Business Central integration, preparing for multi-tenant expansion, and navigating a live ERP migration – all while continuing to ship features and fixes.

Delivery was reliable and predictable. Work was managed through Slack communication and regular status calls, with tasks tracked transparently in a shared backlog. Estimates were dependable enough to plan around, and the team owned production incidents end to end – from alert to diagnosis to prevention – without needing to be chased.

While pricing can always be negotiated, we were satisfied with the overall cost-to-value ratio.

They operated as our engineering team rather than an external supplier. Instead of proposing a costly rewrite of a live, profitable platform, they stabilized and modernized it in place – migrating the stack, automating deployments and building observability from zero – while continuing to ship the features the business needed. That "fix what's there" discipline saved us time and money.

Even when discussing complex technical topics, they communicated clearly and effectively, ensuring we always understood the business impact and available options.
