What was the scope of their involvement?

There’s a lot involved in creating claims for insurers. Our software registers all the data such as insurance carrier, patient name, birth date, and insurance information. That data is used to create claims in a specific industry format called ANSI 837.

It’s been a year-long project with multiple iterations and improvements, as we added claim houses. DreamSoft4u Healthcare IT Solution had experience in doing this for other clients, and we relied on that to make the solution work. We provided them specific data elements based on which they generated the EDI file.

The software is producing the results we’re looking for. Claims are being accepted by clearinghouses and insurance carriers, which was the ultimate reason for making it.

DreamSoft4u Healthcare IT Solution does pretty well. They don’t have to manage too much. Their team knows what the task is. They produced the tool that generates the files and anytime we need new iterations we give them the information and they’ll update the tool within a few days. We typically communicate through Skype. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a very honest company and deliver on what they promise. We know that we’re not going to waste our money. We’re getting what we paid and asked for.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

You should have clear expectations on what you want and then relay those expectations to DreamSoft4u Healthcare IT Solution on a call. As long as everyone is on the same page, you should get the output you’re looking for.

As a medical startup in United States, being HIPAA-compliant is needed. We didn't have relevant experience of this regulation and while there was resources we could find and use, it looked overwhelming for us.

After several discovery meetings (where DreamSoft4u team has got known with the software), they shared checklists and guidelines we needed to satisfy.

They also tested the software against that checklist and they have given us a to do list of what should have been done by our tech team. We did it and they checked it again. It was iterative process for about 3-4 weeks.

Initially, it was a manager. Soon, a tester has joined to proceed with the testing process. Later, DevOps person joined who helped us define architecture of production server based on HIPAA recommendations and requirements.

We are not launched yet and the work itself is not demonstrable by nature.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Mainly, I had communication with manager. After contract was made, we quickly moved from Email to Slack. The team was responsive to messages.

The project was not challenging or big-enough for me to share highlights.

English communication (although I had right expectations before beginning) and better organization of deliverable files so that they are easy to read would be great time saver.

We were able to cost effectively get our minimum viable product (MVP) functioning and start working with our first customers.

How did DreamSoft4u Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve had 3–5 different project managers because some left. That led to changeover issues and having to reexplain our project. At one point, we didn’t even have a project manager.

We outlined the initial scope, and they said it would take about three months to develop the solution. It ended up taking about 4–5 months longer than that, which was frustrating. However, now that we’ve been working on smaller projects, their estimates are better.

They don’t use a project management tool, so we mainly communicate over email and exchanging Word documents. Communication has been one of our biggest challenges, especially because of the time difference. It’s been hard to connect with them during regular business hours—we have to talk very late or early, which isn’t always ideal.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The platform’s interface is good; people like the design and the layout. DreamSoft4u is highly cost effective, which is a huge plus.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They don’t seem to have any sort of project management system, so it’s hard to track changes, updates, and progress.

We have a big data analytics platform for managed healthcare. We have our own developers who developed our application, but we ended up deciding to outsource the interconnectivity part.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dreamsoft4u is one of the partners we picked to help us with some applications to be able to test our systems’ interconnectivity. It’s a sandbox (i.e., isolated testing environment) that we use to test our connectivity, APIs, and system interfaces. We have our past environment in Amazon Web Services (AWS), which is the area that DreamSoft4u coordinates. They’ve set up the Amazon EC2 and remote backup system (RBS) environments. They’ve also used PHP to connect to the backend of the RBS.

Their healthcare knowledge was the main reason we chose them. I’ve worked with different companies in India who were very good, but they didn’t specialize in healthcare.

We’re not using the products they developed in a live environment. It’s more like a sandbox for connectivity purposes to test our APIs. We’re in the middle of the process, so I can’t comment on any results yet.

Rohit (Software QA Analyst, DreamSoft4u Pvt. Ltd.) is very organized. The team is very responsive and has done everything we’ve requested. They’ve come up with a good project plan, developed milestones, and followed up on what they’ve promised. There have been some changes in the process that have resulted in missed deadlines, but they’ve managed to adjust things in order to complete tasks. They’ve used Excel for project management.

I have no comments in this area.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve worked with other firms that use project management tools to allow for better follow-up and to track the work. DreamSoft4u should start using something like that.

They played an important role in developing the core architecture of our software. They were involved in the very early stages and built the underlying database and the underlying code. They used Java, MySQL, the Merck channel, and PrimeFaces from a design perspective. They delivered a minimum viable product (MVP) from scratch.

We found them on an online job site. We gave them a mini-project to work on and were satisfied with their response. I met them in person and had an opportunity to see their setup. I was impressed, so we decided to use them.

They built the underlying architecture for the product that we now sell. They did a great job building it. We gave them feedback, tested the project, got feedback from clients, and gave them more feedback. Over time, the product kept getting better. They were quick to fix bugs and quick to implement more functionality.

We used Teamwork. We were very happy with their communication. They were responsive. They worked hard.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The diversity of the resources is key. If we needed somebody to install a certificate, there was a sales specialist. If we needed someone to look at the environment, there was an architectural specialist. If we needed someone to set up a PHP integration with a third-party software, they had a PHP developer. They functioned very well as a one-stop shop for all the developmental resources that we needed.

Most software developers tend to focus on building a product where A leads to B, and B leads to C. What makes DreamSoft4u unique is that they figure out what comes before A and how strong the underlying architecture and code is, as well as what comes after Z and what will be helpful to market the product. They weren’t just vendors. They were partners in the project that helped give birth to the product and helped the product grow. They look at things from a three-dimensional perspective.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They worked in the time zone that we wanted. There were no language barriers. I was happy with them in all aspects.

They’re located in India, and I’m in the U.S. I probably wouldn’t have been able to afford the type and amount of work they’re giving me if I’d hired in the U.S. The requirements would have been out of my capabilities. DreamSoft has skills and experience in the clinical market—they know what they’re doing.

Software always needs customization or edits. DreamSoft has the skills and experience to make those changes, but we decided to offer the platform as is and make future customizations when needed.

We have various divisions, including waste paper, receiving sections, production systems, and we produce various reports on plant efficiency, production quality, shipping, invoicing, and so on. We needed to integrate these facets into an ERP.

DreamSoft4u implemented our ERP system. They provided a project manager for our company, and we had discussions around our requirements.

Our reports are reviewed by upper management, so it's important that the auto-emailing works well. The process is time-based and if any events fail to trigger, we will call DreamSoft4u to fix the issue.

Previously, the reporting process was entirely manual. After implementing our ERP, I was able to immediately pull any types of reports from our central database, so the process has improved and become faster. 

How did DreamSoft4u perform from a project management standpoint?

DreamSoft4u assigned a project manager as our only point of contact. He wasn't perfect but did the job well enough and had good English skills.

What did you find most impressive about DreamSoft4u?

DreamSoft4u employs top-of-the-line developers from their region, with high experience. I've worked with other companies and DreamSoft4u stood out in terms of professionalism. We have a time-sensitive process, and I've appreciated being able to call DreamSoft4u's team in the middle of the night for them to sort out the issue.

Are there any areas DreamSoft4u could improve?

I haven't seen any major problems in our 3-year collaboration with DreamSoft4u. There may be 15-20-minute delays at times, but this is not a problem.

I've been in direct sales network marketing for around 30 years, managing American companies. I decided to set up my own operation in the UK, starting with a blank sheet of paper. I wanted to build a compensation plan, website, and sales platform from scratch.

I made some wireframes and sent DreamSoft4u a brief of basic designs created by another studio in order for them to build a customer-facing website.

DreamSoft4u has worked with our bank in order to setup a payment gateway. They also developed a compensation plan, as well as a huge reporting structure, allowing us to monitor every facet of our business, including customer and affiliate activity, as well as personal details. Because of our time difference, it was always difficult to get work done from the UK. I have a retail operation, so getting a fast response was very important. DreamSoft4u has always remained available.

DreamSoft4u has been an innovative partner. I built a new solution from scratch using DreamSoft4u, back when my company was a one-man-band. It was very useful to get feedback and ideas, many of which were implemented on the website. I've worked with American companies on the development of compensation plans for the network marketing industry. I would have paid significantly more money for my current project, had I worked with a developer in the US or the UK.

Timeframes have been the big issue, from my perspective. If I want to accomplish something at 7 PM on UK time, and DreamSoft4u is already finished for the day, the task will have to wait till morning.
