I am a partnership manager for WP Engine, my job is to work directly with our top strategic agencies to align the right hosting solution to a clients needs.

For what projects/services did your company hire Dreamers of Day?

At the beginning of 2022, we enhanced our partnership with Dreamers of Day. To enable their team and the folks they work with, and provide a scalable, performant, and secure solution.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had connected and immediately built a foundation for growth. Dreamers of Day truly specializes in the services they offer. This was apparent from the first conversation.

We have worked together on multiple projects, I will outline the process we typically follow as it sheds light on most other projects as well! Typically a intro discovery is set up to learn more about the goals/requirements. Next step entails documentation on process which out lines everything from pre sales to site launch. RFP's and SOW's go out, design kicks off, and development follows shortly after! In preparation for site launch Dreamers of Day is there each step of the way.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We have worked closely with every department internally at Dreamers of Day as well as some of their external resources.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Their documentation was very thorough. Our teams were able to collaborate easily, and each project we partnered on lead to goals being met.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

This was a collaborative experience, which made it easy to communicate and provided us frequent updates. We had both in-person meetings and phone calls. Everything was delivered on time and we received ample warning if a deadline wasn't going to be met.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was blown away by the knowledge they had about website design, user experience, and optimization. We appreciated that they were patient and thoughtful while we came up to speed. We have worked with other agencies in the past, but this was a particularly collaborative and positive experience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

From my point of view there is no improvement needed, Dreamers of Day is a great business partner focused on quality.

I’m the owner of a marketing agency that specializes in the commercial real estate industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dreamers of Day?

We needed a partner to augment our internal dev team and work on numerous projects. We’ve mainly had Dreamers of Day work on web dev projects, but we recently had them build an app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dreamers of Day builds most of our websites in WordPress, creating custom designs within the platform. They also do custom coding in PHP, and they built the framework that they use within WordPress. We have our own internal dev team but typically bring on Dreamers of Day for larger projects.

The last project they worked on was a client portal app that connected to WordPress. It gives the clients of our clients the ability to log in and see account information specific to them. Anytime there’s a new document that needs to be released; the client can log in, upload the document, and designate which end users have access to the information. The app then automatically adds that document to each of the end users’ portals so that they can see it right when they log in. Dreamers of Day currently maintains the app.

What is the team composition? 

We only interface with the owner, but several other people work on our projects.

How did you come to work with Dreamers of Day?

They called us. We met and liked them and actually referred them to a colleague before even using them. Our friend said the engagement went well, so we hired them when our project started.

We’ve spent over $100,000.
 
What is the status of this engagement?

We partnered in January 2017, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

All of the projects they’ve worked on function well. We’ve had a few issues, but Dreamers of Day always quickly fixes them. They also ensure that technology is up to date.

How did Dreamers of Day perform from a project management standpoint?

The team is quick and responsive, getting back to us within a day or so. We mainly communicate via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Having them stateside made the engagement easier and communication much smoother.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The cost is somewhat high, but they do good work.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I recommend trying them out.

Our website data indicates that Dreamers of Day fixed some existing issues, enhanced our website session time, made our user experience more pleasurable, and helped contribute to our marketing team goals.
