Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the VP of new products at COOP by Ryder. We offer businesses flexible commercial vehicle and trailer rentals, storage solutions, and the ability to rent out idle vehicles, helping optimize fleet usage with expert support and advanced technology.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Double Nines?

We needed a partner that could work alongside our team from the ideation and research phase of the project all the way to platform development, implementation, scaling, maintenance, and more. We needed a partner that worked as an integrated part of our team.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Double Nines covers a large spectrum of responsibilities related to our product strategy and technology. They act as both a product management arm and a scalable platform development team. Together, we’ve implemented a structured team and solution to support the ever-changing needs of our technology platform.Moreover, the team at Double Nines always stays very informed and focused on the same business KPIs as our team. They understand the business better than most technology partners I’ve worked with. In terms of deliverables, we’ve structured them in three main development streams: - a comprehensive web platform - a user-friendly transactional mobile app - an admin platform for our team to monitor transactions and support customers 

What is the team composition?

It varies based our needs but the average was around 15 or so teammates from Double Nines. The advantage of working with them is the flexibility they offers to scale the team up and down as needed in record time. 

How did you come to work with Double Nines?

Someone referred them to me.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measure the project’s success by the growth of our customer base, the adoption of the platform, and the overall customer satisfaction. We’ve seen a 200% year-over-year growth and an 80% adoption of our mobile app. Moreover, we’ve seen a high NPS, which is a result of a great product made available to our customers.

How did Double Nines perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a very tight agile methodology with a disciplined approach to sticking to deliverables and sprint schedules.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What’s most impressive is how well the culture of the team they’ve assembled for our project aligns with the culture of our group.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are always things that could be done differently, but overall very satisfied with the work they’ve done and how the Double Nines team has responded to the ever-changing needs of our business.
