dotbite created for Cinema Next a fresh, modern website that embodies our mission of championing independent cinema and empowering young filmmakers. The goal was to move beyond our outdated WordPress setup and build a secure, flexible, and future-ready platform that feels as dynamic as their work.
dotbite worked hand in hand with our new designer Lara Langner and brought her creative vision to life through a responsive and intuitive digital experience. They led the full development process — from front-end and back-end implementation to testing and quality assurance — ensuring every detail met both aesthetic and performance goals. Dotbite implemented Statamic as the new CMS, providing us with simple, powerful tools for managing content.
The website is now much more accessible and contemporary, with effortless content management.

The platform includes a branded web app with eKYC and AI-based facial recognition to verify user identity and ensure compliance. Patients are guided through the test via secure, step-by-step instructions and videos.

Labs and providers receive integrated APIs and dashboards to manage test data, automate workflows, and deliver results securely. An admin interface supports customer service, communication, and marketing, including product recommendations and analytics.

The goal was to create a scalable platform that allows sneaker resellers to sell products in bulk to nearby stores. The platform needed to be modern, mobile-friendly, and intuitive to use, with a strong emphasis on performance, user experience, and reliability.

I'm the product manager and UX lead of Voicy, an education startup from Switzerland. We help people develop future-ready skills in their daily work through voice-based reflection and targeted learning moments.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Dotbite to accomplish for your business?

We hired Dotbite to help us create a concept for the development of our app prototype to a proper first live-ready product. We needed them to help us create a concept, user stories, and then a click-through prototype to develop in Figma with back-to-back feedback and improvement for mobile and desktop for our voice-based solution for training and education of soft skills.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We teamed up with Dotbite for the project with a structured requirements engineering process. We conducted workshops to capture and align on functional and technical requirements, assess feasibility, and define the product scope. Early feedback loops were established to validate assumptions and surface potential risks before any design work began.

Building directly on these foundations, the team moved into a comprehensive design phase: translating requirements into first concepts in Figma, refining these into a polished UI/UX design, and delivering a full click-through prototype in Figma with several user stories for different personas and scenarios.

We worked together from October to December 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Dotbite delivered a neat clickdummy prototype with clear user stories for several scenarios and personas. We had a good handover to technical implementation with good feedback. The technical implementation could directly be taken over by our developer based on all the Figma screens.

How did Dotbite perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time. We had some extra wishes, and they delivered well. We communicated via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and email or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive or unique about them?

They were very lean, competent, flexible, and professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The concept workshop was very good but didn't allow us to answer all questions. Another session to double-check if all goals were clear would have been helpful. However, we managed along the way well in the weekly check-ins.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We achieved the fully specified functionalities, and the testing results and client feedback were positive. The testing showed very good results, so almost no rework was needed. The application was easy to use, had a clear design, and was intuitive.

The project management was excellent and super proactive. They were sometimes even ahead of schedule and anticipated our needs, which positively surprised us.

I was the CMO of LEAD Horizon, a medical company. We offer a patent-pending test kit and web app that enables the rapid self-collection of samples and fast delivery of PCR test results.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dotbite?

We needed help to set up a platform for self-testing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dotbite developed a web app's frontend for users and a backend, including APIs to labs to share data. The platform has a 2FA login, a profile function, a KYC process, and a video/photo process to prove the correct test procedure. It also has automated result reporting and dashboards for customer care.

What is the team composition?

We worked with around ten people from Dotbite.

How did you come to work with Dotbite?

We found Dotbite through a referral. They seemed to be very professional and convinced us in the first meeting.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2020, and the engagement lasted until 07/2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Together with dotbite we developed a stable test platform with up to 400,000 tests performed a day and an uptime of 99.9%. We were the main supplier in the pandemic for the city of Vienna and their COVID-19 tests.
