FinHost is the white label core banking platform that allows financial institutions to offer cutting-edge services to their customers. With FinHost, you can fully customise the platform to create a unique and branded experience for your clients, while also having the ability to integrate with any BaaS or payment providers you may need. As a part of FinHost I am taking the position of the Product Business Analyst since the very beginning of the project.

FinHost has partnered with .doCode company to develop a fintech solution from scratch. We had an idea and we were looking for its technical realisation. Partnering with .doCode we obtained a profound expertise and continue receiving the following services: consultancy, market research, full cycle product development and other services on demand. For now together with the .doCode team we have successfully developed both Android and iOS as well as web versions of the product and moving forward.

It was important for us to make sure that we can get all services in one place and of a good quality. To make sure that the .doCode team can provide relevant expertise and reliable services we have managed to conduct a set of interviews with their developers and closely communicated with the management stuff. We had a dedicated account manager who has helped us to launch the development process and deal with all legal stuff that significantly speed up the process.

Initially we have started with the market research and POC. After the concept had been proved we defined a key team and started working on gathering the business requirements and initial product architecture ideas. After we defined key roles required for the product development .doCode provided us with the dedicated team and we have started the process.

.doCode has advised us to use an AWS serverless approach and it was a really architecturally essential solution that provided us with more and more opportunities as it was very important for us to understand that we can any time scale our solution without any difficulties. Together with the .doCode team we have successfully managed to develop a convenient back-office, effective reporting and analytics system as well as successfully integrated the KYC/KYB procedures to make sure our solution is reliable. We have quite a lot to do in our roadmap and will gladly continue our way with the .doCode team.

For all the organisational moments we have a dedicated account manager. Our technical team consists of Product Owner, Project Manager, Designers, DevOps specialists, Solution Architects, Frontend and Backend developers, Quality Assurance engineers and Support team. For now .doCode provides us with a team of 24 people and according to our roadmap, we are definitely planning to scale.

In a month we have got a totally working POC that allowed us to go to the market fast and gather the feedbacks of our clients. If talking about the development process we are working applying an Agile methodology and that allows us to get a desired deliverables in time. Currently our Android, iOS and Web solutions are on the market and we continue obtaining new clients adding the new functionality.

We use Agile approach. .doCode team is always available, easy to communicate and solve different tasks. We use Slack, Trello, Figma and other tools to ensure smoothly cooperation.

The very responsible approach in building product Architecture and taking long perspective decisions that influence the product scaling and further development.

Initially, we took a light-touch approach to understand the art of the possible. This started with explaining the vision of the project and the .doCode team went away and produced some architectural ideas.

We took this information and applied it back to the first principles around the banking APIs we were interacting with and how this would impact our application.

he first milestones were to produce a mobile application that can send and receive funds from our corresponding bank. In parallel, the .deCode team worked with our business development to understand the backlog and the scope of the work.

This was all put into JIRA and was developed using agile delivery best practices. This included constant updates from the development team and them acquiring feedback. This was all deployed via continuous deployment via every commit on a React Native, Node, Lamdas (AWS) technology stack.

I worked closely with the CEO to make sure we were mindful of the team structure and resources. The team included a Project Manager, Quality Assurance, Designers, and Back/Front end developers. This fluctuated from 5 to 30 people depending on evolution of the project.

Within 6 weeks were able to deploy a working mobile application into production taking millions of funds and thousands of transactions. This allowed us to take customer feedback quickly and help dictate the new features that were being built.

The team focused on continuous deployment which gave us the ability to make quick updates and fix any issues that might have surfaced. This allowed us to experience the project being built in real-time which gave us confidence it was correct.

I'm the founder of a startup based in New York. Our company is small and I oversaw the development of the cross platform app.

Overall I was very happy with the timelines of the team. We received warnings if a deadline wasn't going to be met. We was also met with very positive and constructive feedback when we had small changes on our end.

I was extremely happy with their approach, friendliness, and professionalism. They have a great knowledge base and could suggest me the best technologies to use. My team learned tons in the process and we appreciated that they were patient and thoughtful.

Then the agency created a design, created a website from scratch and integrated it into WordPress. The process was followed by regular meetings. Technologies: HTML/CSS, WordPress.

At the first meetings, we discussed the workflow. After that, we followed the plan. The development team were requesting our feedback during the development after particular stages were completed. If any issues appeared we were updated at once. Apart from meetings, there was another way of communication. It was Slack. We could send our questions there and get really quick answers.

The most valuable thing was that the company not only paid attention to our requests but proposed their solutions. As I’ve mentioned we hadn't had such an experience before. That’s why some things were unknown to us, we didn’t know what solution would be better.

The company advised us and helped with some decisions. Besides, we highly appreciated the fact that we can edit the website without any help. After the website was completed, they spend time explaining everything, so it is really easy even for an inexperienced person to make changes by using the admin.
