I’m a marketing manager at Cooks, a culinary retail and experience company. We offer cooking classes and private or corporate events led by expert chefs in St. Paul and Minneapolis. Our goal is to provide engaging, educational, and entertaining kitchen environments for team building and social gatherings.

What challenge were you trying to address with DigitlHaus Agency?

We needed help updating our theme, redesigning our website and ongoing BigCommerce support.

What was the scope of their involvement?

DigitlHaus Agency updated our theme and redesigned our website, making it an evolution of our previous site. The goal was to make the site look and feel more modern. To achieve this, we updated the colors, created a new homepage, revamped the landing pages, and increased backend functionality. Additionally, the team provided SEO services and big-coach support along the way.

We were referred to DigitlHaus Agency by another agency. The team came off as confident and trustworthy and had our best interests in mind.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from spring 2024–2025. The full year was due to some changes on our end, and the engagement is ongoing with BigCommerce support.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen increased user functionality and a more modern look and feel. Our team loves the new look and feel of the site. They also like that we can control more on the homepage, which has increased sales for one of our business units. Additionally, we’ve seen a decreased bounce rate.

How did DigitlHaus Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

DigitlHaus Agency delivered on time and responded well to our needs. The team had fast response times when it was crunch time, and we always knew what was going on. We held weekly touchpoints, which helped keep the project moving.

What did you find most impressive about them?

DigitlHaus Agency was able to help and guide us through all of our questions. The design process was super buttoned up, and the team delivered a look and feel that we loved, which came to life really well.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had a few bumps in the road when they delivered some design features that required extra development time. However, we worked through that and ended up in a place that we all felt good about.

We hired DH to completely redesign our Bigcommerce theme and get us on the Stencil framework. They handled the design/mockups and development.

The overall process took longer than I expected, but it was within the timeframe they laid out - so they met the deadlines

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It is hard to find quality design/development agencies that work with Bigcommerce stores. It's common for the initial design to look good but when it comes down to the details, there can be a lot to be desired. I came upon a store that DH designed and was immediately struck by how nicely it was designed and developed through and through.

Are there any areas for improvement or something DigitlHaus Agency could have done differently?

Occasionally there were some communication issues between myself, the project manager, and the developers (you do not communicate with the devs directly), but nothing major.
