Our website was created in 2014 based on Magento 1.xx. We hired DWL to move us over to Magento 2.xx, redesign and improve the interactive elements of our product range, and provide the Magento - side links to the intergration with SAP

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Initially, the project was awarded to the company that was going to handle the integration with SAP. It soon became obvious that the Magento side development was not going to be satisfactory. The pricipal of DWL, Prashant, had worked on our original webshop, for the previous developers, knew our business well and the vagaries of our product ranges. I reached out to them, explained my misgivings and within a couple of conference calls they assured me they could satisfy my needs.

We needed a responsive Magento store, community edition, that could communicate with our SAP system. That integration would be handled by another enterprise but at the same time we needed to redesign our existing Magento store and upgrade to 2.xx. Our business is essentially B2B, and we had very specific requirements, not available out of the box, to satisfy the ease of use and site navigation needs. After some initial conference calls, where the scope of these specifics was explored and identified, DWL confirmed that with significant bespoke development, these customisations could be acheived. DWL also had to work with the SAP integrators on a suitable API, and supply access to the Magento-side touchpoints. DWL successfully delivered the Magento 2 site on time, on budget and to spec, and ensured all the key requirements of the SAP integration were met. They also introduced us to Klaviyo, which we are using extensively in our sales and marketing analysis.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The revamped design, especially the customised configurable product pages, have proved extremely popular with our customer base. Using Klaviyo flows we have been able to tailor offers and campaigns specific to target groups, which have delivered measurable returns.

DWL are great communicators. We have regular Skype meetings, sometimes daily, email communications as required. We never feel out of the loop.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Magento stores are always a work in progress, we review ours constantly. Their team is always open to requests to tweak the offerings, often suggesting improvements to us. We will be taking the next steps to PWA soon and that will be a whole new ball game... Nothing is too much trouble.

No, we have been very happy with the service throughout.
