The project management was well done, but the project took longer than we anticipated.  We did have an ambitious schedule so the final product took about a month longer than we'd planned for.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We first engaged with Digital Brew to let them know the concept and idea for our video. We filled out a Creative Brief to help them learn about our company. Then, we had a follow up meeting with the Digital Brew team to go over the Creative Breif and what we were trying to accomplish with this video. We provided some reference images to help Digital Brew with some of the visuals we wanted to be key features.

Next, they provided us with a script that we reviewed and could make suggestions for changes. Once we had a working script, the Digital Brew team put toghether a storyboard that highlighted some of the main visuals that would be showed lined up with the agreed upon script. We were also able to make suggestions on this storyboard if we wanted changes made.

After the storyboard was approved, Digital Brew's team started working on the animation and putting the whole video together. We chose the voice we wanted to be used in the voiceover and were able to sit in on the recording of the script and make any suggestions to the reader if we weren't happy with how something was said.

The final step was receiving drafts of the video and providing feedback. Digital Brew uses a very easy to understand platform that allows you to provide real-time feedback for any adjustments that need to be made to the visuals of the video. Once we got to a version we were happy with, we were able to just download the finished version straight from the site they had shared the drafts with us.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've produced a number of videos with Digital Brew and all have performed very well, both digitally (on our YouTube channel, social platforms, website) and for use in meetings, tradeshows, etc.

We've noticed many of our competitors putting together videos similar to ours after we released our initial video meaning that we were being viewed by them as leaders in the space.

When we started the project, we gave Digital Brew a date that we'd need the finished video and they set all deadlines to make sure we hit that date. 

Their team was always very quick to respond and easy to contact. All the systems they use are updated in real time, so there was no worry of using a wrong version of something or not keeping track of the most current documents.

They also do a great job of putting you in contact with a main point of contact (ours was Teresa), but also have you work with different team members based on the phase of the project which was great because then we were working with the subject-matter expert of each phase.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What we have really loved about working with Digital Brew is that they really have gotten familiar with what we do. We're a B2B business in the manufacturing space that doesn't have a catalogue of offerings, so it is incredibly difficult for us to work with outside companies because many times, they've never worked with a company like us, so the learning curve is very significant. 

Because Digital Brew has worked with us on a number of these videos, it feels like they have a true understanding of our business, what we like to show, and the message we're trying to convey.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Digital Brew could have done differently?

We have no real complaints! The team at Digital Brew is always very quick to respond and produces very high-quality work! While getting a finished video, especially one that is at least a minute long does take a number of weeks (this is standard), the Digital Brew team works closely with you through each of the phases, so it never feels like you're waiting.

We gave Digital Brew a list of value propositions and some guidance about how we'd like the video to flow and what points to cover. Digital Brew provided a storyboard and script and worked closely with us through edits, questions, and our requested changes. They were patient, professional, and knowledgeable.

Key deliverable: A 60-second branded explainer video describing the benefits of working with us to grow your business. We received a video with audio, and a video with subtitles.

I'm a Digital Marketing Manager within the biotech / healthcare industry that focuses on improving patient health outcomes across digital channels.

For what projects/services did your company hire Digital Brew, and what were your goals?

Digital Brew was hired to develop multiple creative versions of a 'value proposition' video for our leading product. We wanted to ensure that we developed an 'elevator pitch'-like video that was comprehensive to explain the benefits of our testing in improving healthcare outcomes. The Digital Brew team needed to think through messaging and imagery that catered to 3 audiences / buyer types in order to drive awareness, consideration and ultimately conversion of leveraging our testing. The videos were meant to be leveraged across various digital channels - both owned and paid.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

This was a recommended vendor by one of our colleagues. After exploring their key attributes and reviewing some of their work online, we engaged in a pre kick-off call to go through our objectives and our aggressive timeline. The team was so incredibly welcoming of the tight turn-around and came to the table already with ideas to bring the work to life. With that, the proactive / creative thinking AND the willingness to get work going and completed on a tight turn-around were the key decision factors to leverage Digital Brew.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

There were 3 creative versions developed of the video in total. These were created post a formal creative kick-off with Digital Brew, as well as our internal strategy and creative team. We set-out key milestones for creative check-ins as well as building in timelines for internal clinical / legal reviews and approvals with rounds of edits needed within. The Digital Brew team was extremely nimble and the platform used to provide feedback was so incredibly easy to use!

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We predominantly worked with Nathan, Michael, and Teresa. I'm sure there were more members of the Digital Brew team that contributed to this work and you can absolutely see the quality of work that comes through. Overall, I think we had a great process for collaborative conversations both in email and on Teams calls to keep the work moving forward.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

No specific data to share as of yet, but the main creative version of the video is live on our newly launched website that focuses on our clinician and lab audiences. The video has been extremely well-received internally -shared with our leadership team and respective sales colleagues to encourage use of this on customer visits.

We leveraged email, Teams calls and provided feedback on the video platform tool that Digital Brew used. Teresa was SO communicative and was incredibly helpful in prioritizing feedback, timelines and moving work forward.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was so impressed with how efficient and effective theit team was throughout. We had complex messaging across multiple audiences and regardless of how fast we were moving the quality (across messaging and creative) was always there. They were quick to act on feedback and made the conversations feel incredibly collaborative. They were always curious to understand more about our business to improve the work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think given we had so many creative versions (plus additional projects that came through for the team to work on amidst this specific work), we could have improved on being clear (on both sides) who was working on what and having separate and distinct email chains / communication streams / meetings with those specific folks to the specific pieces of work. Sometimes, given the overlap, there was some confusion of what / when / how.

What challenge were you trying to address with Digital Brew?

We needed a company that could provide us with video production services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Digital Brew to help us create all of our TV commercials and promotional videos. In our initial meetings, we discussed what we wanted to

accomplish and our goals for the video they’d be producing. They then came back to us a few weeks later with 3–4 creative pitches. We worked together to refine those ideas, and they were very open to our feedback. After that, they submitted a final pitch, which we took to our leaders for approval.

Digital Brew handled the storyboarding, scriptwriting, casting, and filming of the videos. They provided all of the equipment and handled all pre- and post-production work. We ended up with a number of different videos, ranging from 30seconds to two minutes. We’re currently working on another animated video with them.

While I don’t have any concrete metrics, I’ve received a lot of feedback from my team members and the people in our community saying they enjoyed the commercials. Our board members also liked our commercials. The videos are wonderfully produced, and the value that we get from what we pay is extraordinary.

Digital Brew has performed well in terms of project management. They’re always timely, punctual, attentive to my needs, and quick to respond to my emails. We once worked together on a project that had a very tight turnaround, and they did it very quickly and professionally, which was impressive.

We work with many different ventures, and Digital Brew is the only one that I would highly recommend to anyone. They’re incredibly attentive and considerate, and they get back to me right away.
