**Feedback Summary**: The client is highly satisfied with Digis’ work and performance. The team has helped reduce costs and improve the systems and infrastructure. Moreover, they maintain a high standard, deliver on time, and communicate effectively through weekly meetings. They’re professional and dedicated partners.
"“They perform very well and are good at finding people.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the CTO of Naiz Fit. We offer a product for size recommendation in online e-commerce sites for garments. We’ve produced a size form inquiry that asks for weight and height and recommends the user the correct size in the garment they’re seeing.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Digis? We were developing new products around size recommendations. One was a smartphone application, so we needed help with the whole backend development process.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement? We initially hired two backend developers from Digis. We’ve onboarded them to be on our team, integrating them into our business, culture, and processes. Once they were onboarded, we began our project. We didn’t plan for them to take on the project. Digis resources work for us inside the team. What is the team composition? We’ve hired five people, including a mobile app developer, a frontend developer, and a DevOps engineer. How did you come to work with Digis? They contacted us. We started the hiring process for an engineer with experience in Scala. A partner company focused on hiring people for this technology contacted us and told us that Digis could hire a team for us.How much have you invested with them?We pay $40–$45 per hour per person. The total is around $40,000.What is the status of this engagement? We began working with them in July 2023, and the partnership will be done in January 2024. We’ll continue with the DevOps engineer, but we have to reduce costs in the company, so we’ll end the relationship with the other four teammates once the project is done.Maybe we’ll hire them if we need more development work in the future.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? The first impact is that Digis has been able to develop our application. The second one is that the DevOps engineer has helped us reduce the costs of infrastructure and hosting, which has improved our systems and infrastructure. Finally, Digis has shown us how to manage a development team to evolve and become stronger. Now we know the kind of profiles we need to develop these products. How did Digis perform from a project management standpoint?Digis found candidates quickly and did an excellent job in the hiring process. The project went slow in the beginning due to a culture mismatch. We didn’t do things like they did. However, Digis soon corrected it and provided us with a project manager, which helped a lot to streamline the process and make everything work.Overall, they’ve performed at a higher standard. They’ve delivered on time and done much better. We communicate through weekly meetings to see how people are performing. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review? The best performance is from the DevOps engineer. He’s overperformed, and we’re pretty happy with him. What did you find most impressive about them? They perform very well and are good at finding people. Moreover, the project manager is awesome, and we have a great relationship with her and the DevOps engineer. Are there any areas they could improve?Initially, we were looking to hire people for a long-term relationship. Digis was unprepared for this; they’ve managed to have a team for the project, but they don’t staff people for long periods.Do you have any advice for potential customers?I recommend starting the relationship with clear objectives. Also, hear their advice on what you need to make the project work. Digis knows what they do and how to build a team that can perform and support your work; they’ve done it many times before.

Digis meets deadlines and stays on budget. Their team works quickly and is responsive through WhatsApp, Confluence, and Jira.
"“Digis’ work and infrastructure are fantastic.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of SENDY INC. We’re an online platform that allows users to sell and buy outdoor sports equipment. We’re based in the US and soon to be live in Canada.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Digis?

We needed to develop our mobile application and website. I believe outsourcing development projects have many benefits, including having different levels of expertise and accessing a bigger team.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Digis has designed and developed our Android and iOS applications. They’ve designed the app’s UI/UX and are currently working on our website’s development.

Initially, we had several discovery calls with Digis’ project manager. We had an initial design idea that we shared with Digis, and we also had our user personas identified. We knew our market and had a clear idea of what we wanted to accomplish regarding design. Digis has used Figma for design.

Digis has developed our mobile app using PHP, Python, Laravel, React Native, React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript. Our app is now live, and Digis is currently working on our site’s development, which will have the same functionalities as the app.

We’ve asked Digis to optimize our site for mobile and desktop compatibility, and they’re using Google Cloud Platform for hosting. Digis also provides us with ongoing maintenance.

What is the team composition?

I work with five teammates from Digis: a project manager, a designer, a web developer, front- and backend developer, and QA specialist.

How did you come to work with Digis?

I found Digis through online research. We were looking for a company that outsourced developers primarily from Eastern Europe. I interviewed around 30 different companies and felt confident with Digis’ team skills. I selected Digis after having three calls with their project manager.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $420,000 with Digis.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Digis in November 2021, and our partnership is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Digis’ work and infrastructure are fantastic. They understand our needs and are great at outsourcing developers. All our developers are based in Ukraine, and their work quality is excellent. Digis’ developers have hit every milestone and goal we’ve required, and they’ve done it during the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, which is really impressive.

Digis has created a beautiful app, and we’ve had a collaborative process. Our app mobile app has been downloaded 15,000 times. We also have over $1 million worth of gear listed on our platform and an average of 2,200 daily visitors.

How did Digis perform from a project management standpoint?

Digis stays on budget, although our budget has changed during our engagement. Digis also meets deadlines and works quickly. I thought it’d be impossible to develop our product as fast.

Digis’ project manager is communicative and understands our needs. We communicate daily through WhatsApp and use Confluence and Jira for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with Digis’ management skills and dedication because they work at any time. I’ve contacted Digis’ developers at 1 a.m. of their local time, and they’re still working. Digis’ team dedication is hard to find.

Are there any areas they could improve?

All Digis’ team has improved during our engagement. I can’t think of anything else for them to improve. When we’ve had issues, they’ve addressed them correctly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend being very clear about your project’s requirements and scope. You need to understand the product you want to develop, the timeframe, and the budget. Having an idea is easy, but the challenge is to communicate your idea to a development team. The more clear you can be with each goal and sprint, the better results you’ll have.

**The Review** — Dec 14, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to Digis' work, the client is very pleased with the deliverables. Their project management style and strong work ethic are hallmarks of their work. They have been supportive throughout the engagement, communicative via Asana and Slack, and very knowledgeable.
""The things that constantly impress me about Digis are their strong work ethic and desire to get things done.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm CEO of Zoomforth, a design platform that enables enterprise teams to build no code / low code, branded microsites at scale.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Digis?

We had an ambitious product development roadmap to achieve in H2 2022 and so hired Digis to provide expert product and project management for the duration of the work.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We advertised the role via a number of platforms, including Upwork. We had hundreds of applicants but Digis stood out for various reasons - past positive experience of working with the firm, quick response times, highly skilled candidate, excellent fact-finding to understand the job and reasonable rates. It was an added bonus that we were able to provide business to a company based in the Ukraine, given the ongoing conflict there.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The project was to deliver a series of platform features that would: a.) enable our users to create sites more easily b.) improve the governance features and security controls c.) enable us to integrate with clients' communication software ecosystems The platform uses React in the front-end and Python in the back-end.

We use Asana and Slack for async comms as we are a fully distributed team, located in different timezones around the world. The overall project was split into a series of smaller milestones and included: Customer and market research Risk & Issue identification / management Resource management Design Product Development Pre and post launch activities e.g. customer comms, training etc. Digis provided overall oversight and management of the whole project

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Digis provided a product and project manager.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The team delivered: A public API to enable native integrations An integration with Zapier to enable third party integrations Product features such as content animations, header & navigation options A governance dashboard for enterprise clients New user permission options Data Loss Prevention solution

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The product / project manager brought significant structure to our process which helped keep the team on track. She instigated a new format for our weekly sprint call, kept in touch daily with all stakeholders and project team members, updated me as CEO and our CTO weekly with a succinct and comprehensive written overview as well as verbal updates as needed. She also provided valuable hands-on support in the writing of product requirement documentation, product design feedback and testing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The things that constantly impress me about Digis are their strong work ethic and desire to get things done. Also, their keen desire to learn and immerse themselves in our business before suggesting efficiencies. Plus, we found it impressive how invested they are in our success.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Initially, it took a little while for us to blend our respective company cultures as Zoomforth puts a great deal of emphasis on work / life balance, whereas Digis (being an agency) is understandably very much more focused on the work product. I think it was a great learning experience for all of us and we will most definitely call on Digis' services again in the future.

I am CEO of a mobile app company

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Digis, and what were your goals?

I hired Digis to staff our development team. My goal was to hire the strongest developers within our limited budget.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I interviewed a number of software staffing agencies, and had previously worked with other software staffing agencies and software development agencies. Digis is hands down the best. The software developers and Q/A are well-vetted. They are excellent, hardworking and conscientious.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We are building a react native mobile app. The developer I hired through Digis has improved the code, and added new features. She is a very clear communicator, works hard and anticipates problems. The Q/A person I hired through Digis tests each app build, and manages the bug tickets. She is thorough and conscientious. Both are excellent.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

One full-time front end react native developer, and one part-time Q/A tester.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Both the developer and tester have exceeded expectations. Their performance is excellent. Together they eliminated bugs, introduced new features, and ensured that the app is working without problems. Previously, we had many complaints in the app store. Since working with this developer and tester, these complaints about the app functioning and bugs have disappeared.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We use Jira, slack and zoom. We have regular zoom calls to go over the feature details and progress. Communication is clear. Their English is excellent.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Both people I hired through Digis were excellent. That is impressive. It is clear that they very carefully vet the people they hire.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The time zone different is sometimes challenging, since we are in California and they are in Europe.

""We were basically satisfied with everything."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

Project Manager, Requirements Engineer

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Digis?

The feedback from our alpha testing phase shows us, that certain processes were poorly understood by our first users. Furthermore, the core idea of the platform could not be conveyed. We decided to keep the basic virtues, but upgrade the project with a completely new UX/UI concept.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

As always, we did some interviews on Upwork and decided to work with Digis. Based on the initial interviews, which were very professional.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Our project can be well divided into project phases. In the beginning, it was quite understandable that the UX/UI designer had to deal with the product. Before the actual work could start, a lot of discussions took place. Many approaches and ideas grow during the discussions with a requirements engineer and the CEO. The first low-fidelity prototypes were created in Figma, which gradually described the concept.
Based on the low-fidelity prototypes, the first process and data object diagrams could be created. In several iterations, we were thus able to develop a new UX concept. Once the low-fidelity prototypes and processes were finalized with the development team, we were able to start with the high-fidelity mockups, which were mostly created in consultation with a front-end developer.
In parallel, we designed our own pattern library/design system based on the Atomic Design principle. This gave us the opportunity to have a unified design across the whole platform. Further changes to the individual patterns were easy for us to handle.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

My team works directly with a UX/UI-Designer. A responsible project manager was always available to us as a contact person.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was smooth either through our teams communication channel or with the project manager via email. We were in daily contact with the UX/UI designer in form of dailies or when we had to clarify some questions. With the project manager, we had a short conversation every 2 weeks to clarify all possible questions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We personally love to work in a very process-oriented way. Because when we understand how to do something, we usually know how the end result can look like. With Digis, we also had the feeling that they knew what they were doing and how to do it. Every next step was planned from the beginning. If something didn't work in line with our processes, we could readjust it.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We were basically satisfied with everything.

**The Review** — Mar 30, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: DIGIS has been an integral addition to the client's team so far, and external stakeholders have expressed their admiration for the vendor's work. The team is fully prompt and responsive. They are quick to adapt and adjust to the workflow. Their coding efficiency is leading their partner for growth.
""They've been an important part of coding features that were demonstrably wanted by our clients."

"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm CTO of the company. We develop applications to help build research communities on college university campuses and virtually showcase research work. I work with our business team to decide business priorities and technical needs and work with our dev team for implementation.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire DIGIS, and what were your goals?

We have an ongoing web development project with DIGIS where one of their developers is actively involved in the development of a virtual events application we've built over the past year.

Our goals have been dynamic, our roadmap has had new large projects set month to month and the DIGIS developer has actively given feedback on the technical aspects of project design and has been involved in implementation.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select DIGIS and what were the deciding factors?

We selected DIGIS as the developer that we interact with's resume stood out, in interview they shared some example code they worked on which also was obviously complex. They demonstrated knowledge of their example code that let us know they'd be a meaningful contributor.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The DIGIS developer is actively involved first in giving feedback on technical requirements of a project and timeline. The developer then has worked with a team of other developers to create code, review code, and actively communicate their progress while sticking to this timeline.

After roadmaps they give feedback on improvements on technical processes and technical improvements across the site. In particular, we are working with a full stack developer, with expertise in Angular and Node JS.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

1 person from the team, full stack developer with emphasis on Angular and Node JS.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They've been an important part of coding features that were demonstrably wanted by our clients. So far we've gotten qualitatively strong responses from clients and our business team to features that the developer has been involved with.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

Currently, this aspect of the project is run entirely by us. They've been responsive on Slack, available in Google Meets meetings, and have been active to meet timelines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their account manager (or recruiting manager, not sure exact role) helped identify good candidates very quickly. The developer we've worked with has ramped up quickly and we're finding continuing to grow in efficiency contributing to the site.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The main spots for growth right now would be a continued increase in efficiency of coding + code reviewing and growth in ownership of particular projects. Based on the current trajectory, I think as more opportunity arises this will happen organically.

CEO, Scooter Company

- Client size: 11-50 Employees
- Review Type: Phone Interview
- Verified

**The Review** — Mar 22, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: The partner is happy with the high-quality deliverables. DIGIS is a true partner and shows dedication to being invested in the success of the project. They go the extra mile, working after hours and on weekends to exceed expectations. Communication is a hallmark of their work.
"“They’re committed and have the ability to scale up in order to deliver fast.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of a scooter company. We develop scooters and stations where riders can charge the battery. We also offer a mobile app to use as a service. There’s an IoT part that corrects the data and offers the data through APIs. From the other side, we have a mobile application where we’re reading the data and can control the data. It’s connected to the IoT.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with DIGIS?

The scooters have to be charged, and it usually takes a few hours. Instead of a rider charging their battery, we charge it for them. They go to one of our stations, remove the battery from the scooter, and we provide a new battery within 60 seconds. They’re full again and can go riding. We needed someone to develop our mobile app.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

DIGIS developed our mobile app for those who purchase the battery swapping service. Our teams had a discovery meeting where we came up with a proof of concept (POC). We needed a lot of user research. At the end of that project, we were able to prove that it could work.

Last year, we raised €60 million (approximately $71 million USD) in order to produce the scooter and finalize the development and do the marketing. We’ve also created a backend in order to have all the logic for the commercial part of our information system. We created a web app in order to sell the subscription.

What is the team composition?

There is one iOS developer and one Android developer. There’s also a backend developer and a software developer who work on the website. Our project manager handles their team and a tester. We also have a DevOps person.

How did you come to work with DIGIS?

DIGIS was recommended to us by a partner. They started working before I joined the company. Their team came before the fundraising stage to deliver the POC.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between €150,000– €200,000 ($178,000–$237,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2019, and the engagement is ongoing. We’re in the phase where the MVP is satisfying our customers. It’s not as intense as it was a few months back but we’re doing some more improvements on the mobile app, the web, and the APIs. They continue to provide ongoing maintenance.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We started from scratch with them, and I see them as a partner. There was a part of the project where there were some delays. There are many companies that would have charged me in order to fix that. However, DIGIS really understood and took responsibility.

They’d work evenings and weekends in order to support us without charging us for the extra time. Their team did that quite a lot of times. They were truly committed to helping us succeed. The quality of work is good, and I’m happy with them. We started in Paris and have our first customers on the street since 2021.

How did DIGIS perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very connected to the project. It’s not always very easy because as with any IoT project, it doesn’t always go as planned. There have been many delays and changes. We have daily contact or may touch base three times a week. We manage the project in Jira so everything is centralized there. Our teams communicate via video calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re committed and have the ability to scale up in order to deliver fast. DIGIS always does their best. For example, I started on a Monday and by that Thursday we had to meet investors to show them the system was working. On Monday morning, I had a call with DIGIS and found the coordination between them and the IoT world wasn’t as good as it should’ve been. It wasn’t their fault. Yet, three days later, they made it work so we could show it to investors to raise money. I was quite shocked.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The little testing that they did wasn’t good enough. That’s something they can improve on. They’ve been able to react to that and it’s much better now, but it was something that was a concern at one point.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You can’t expect them to understand everything because of the fact that they work remotely. You have to invest a bit more in the specifications and architecture before working. This would apply to any offshore company.

They asked a lot of questions about users and our business. During the whole process, they provided us with intermediate results for approval: user analysis, sketches, wireframes, etc.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We mostly communicated with the DIGIS Project manager, but as far as I know, there were 2 designers and 1 frontend developer besides him.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After the new version release, users’ feedback was positive, and the number of reports dramatically reduced.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

I enjoyed their work organization. Their team followed the set timeline and everything was delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their designers got our ideas so fast and they were so open and nice as if we were friends. All this resulted in quality design and our good mood.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, as I remember there aren’t.

**The Review** — Dec 1, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: DIGIS was able to meet the client's expectations for the deliverables. They were able to deliver the project on time and met the functional specifications. The team utilized Slack for effective day-to-day communication. Their team was responsive to questions and conversations.
""The code that the developer wrote is very high quality and code we are happy."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Chief Software Architect at a software company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire DIGIS?

We hired Digis to build a react-native mobile application for our users.

What were your goals for this project?

We are a software company that specializes in web application development, and were looking for a company that could meet two different needs:

First, deliver the mobile application we needed;
and second, deliver high quality code that would serve as a launch point for our developers to begin working in mobile space.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select DIGIS?

We posted a job description with what I consider to be a fairly complete set of requirements. DIGIS responded with sufficient questions and comments to indicate that they had read through and were attempting to understand these requirements before providing an estimate.

They made our short list, and after a zoom interview with their project manager - they convinced us that they would be a great fit.

Describe the project in detail.

We provided a detailed specification doc describing the needed features in the mobile application, including hand-drawn wireframes. DIGIS had a designer that turned our wireframes into actual designs, which the developer then instrumented. The process was interactive (using Slack for day-to-day communications) with weekly team meetings.

The mobile app had 3 broad functional areas (login, information retrieval/display from our API, and integration with a mobile web browser). The app was developed with react-native, and DIGIS published for both iOS and Android.

What was the team composition?

DIGIS brought one project manager, one designer and one developer. Over the course of the project (about 6 weeks), the PM was present the entire time. The designer was involved for the first 2 weeks and the developer for the rest.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The application met both of our goals - it has the functionality we wanted for our users, and their developer built a very well designed application and presented it to our develoment team very effectively. It should prove to be a great launching point for our own development efforts.

DIGIS delivered the project on time, and met our functional specifications. The costs ended up a little higher than the original estimate reflecting some scope creep.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Effective. Using Slack for day-to-day conversations was very efficient. We did have some misses in the overall project coordination, which I believe may have contributed to the project running over budget. But the team members were all very responsive to questions and conversations.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The designer was very very thoughtful in turning our concepts into a strong design that reflects our brand. The code that the developer wrote is very high quality and code we are happy (as a software development company ourselves) to bring into our product line.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Better timeline management to help us keep track of overall progress towards final delivery to help identify cost overrun potential before it happens.

"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CEO of an online jewelry media business.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire DIGIS, and what were your goals?

We approached DIGIS initially to work on Android application development. Shortly after, we also started working on iOS and dashboard applications together. Our goal was to create a photography application that could produce consistent quality results across all smartphones.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were looking for a long-term partner in the digital space that could scale and grow with us. We found Digis online and spoke with the sales director for several weeks before meeting the founder. We were provided with confidence through the contracts and communication during our calls. Digis was happy to accommodate our NDA and contractual terms too.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We work together in a fast pace environment where we have to catch up almost daily to keep up to date. The scope of work was to develop new functions and features in mobile apps to accommodate our growing business.

Project steps would usually involve breaking down tasks into deliverables before scheduling them into project management systems with priorities and statuses. Project updates would be provided on a daily basis and tasks were restructured based on priority and requirements.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We work with a team of six talents:

1 full stack developer
	2 Android developers
	2 Apple developers
	1 UX designer
	1 project manager

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Digis was able to turn an unstable application into a reliable application that is ready to scale; further improvements in the codebase and infrastructure are a direct result of this. Over the last several months, we were able to connect our apps to dashboards, perform unique photography and editing actions on the app. We're just getting started and have lots more to come.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Communication was run through daily or weekly calls through Skype. We used Monday.com to manage tasks and work statuses. Our project manager is invested and holds a deep understanding of the project. Priorities of each task were delivered with a strong balance between business and development goals.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Digis work as an extension of our team; there is a strong understanding of our business and culture. We work with a common approach to challenge the norm and achieve the impossible.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are happy and grateful to be working with DIGIS, there is nothing we would change for now.

""I was impressed by the knowledge the developer and project manager had about the react native and how it functions."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the project manager in a company that creates and manages different web applications: dating sites, ad posting sites, investment platforms.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire DIGIS?

We had really old IOS and Android apps - almost non-functioning, with many bugs and errors. We have decided to rewrite those apps using React Native, using the newest technologies and best programming practices.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to have 100% working app that would make our customers happy, something that they could recommend to their friends. We wanted to increase downloads of the apps in AppStore and google play, also we wanted to start advertising our apps in apps environments.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We found this company on Upwork, they were very active in replying to all our questions, communication went great, they also suggested how we can improve things from our side to make the programming process faster.

Describe the project in detail.

Once we decided to continue our collaboration, we had a skype meeting with the developer and the project manager. They have provided us with approximate timeframes for each feature of our apps, all the tasks, questions, and suggestions were uploaded to the task manager.

By the end of the day, the developer uploaded the app to the test environment so we can test and register the bugs, make the comments.

What was the team composition?

We were assigned a project manager for our project and we had one developer who made all the programming tasks.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

So far it is difficult to say if the apps are a success, but they are definitely better than they were before. Two weeks after the release we haven't received any complaints from users, the apps are working as they should, they do not crash and that is enough for us for now.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was easy to communicate both with the developer and the project manager. They were always ready to help with the questions, solve the misunderstandings, explain things, etc. Really happy with the collaboration.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by the knowledge the developer and project manager had about the react native and how it functions, I liked that they were always looking for the best solutions (not only implement what's faster and simpler). Also, we were satisfied with the productivity of the developer.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Cannot think of any.

**The Review** — Jul 23, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: As a result of DIGIS’s work, the client saw a reduction in the amount of time it took to complete tasks. This resulted in increased work productivity. DIGIS delivered on time and was easy to get in touch with, making for a smooth collaboration.
""They always answered our calls and updated us on the progress of the work."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a branch director of a Ukrainian insurance company. I’m also a senior manager of the group that combines our sales, IT, and accounting.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with DIGIS?

Our database was separate from our sales CRM, and it was 20 years old. We were getting leads online that weren’t connected to the database at all.

The process worked, but it wasn’t very comfortable to get a lead online and put the information into the database and the CRM separately. It was a huge problem that we’d created ourselves, and we needed someone to put our databases together. That’s when our collaboration with DIGIS started.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

DIGIS created the connection between our systems from scratch. They’re separate databases in separate systems, and they had to be connected both ways. That way, clients could use our site to get insurance information from previous years, which was in our old database. We didn’t want to make a new database from scratch, so DIGIS connected the old one.

As I understand, our database is mostly PHP and Java, and our site is HTML5.

What is the team composition?

I mainly worked with Alexey (Founder & CEO). We have three people in our in-house IT department, and they connected to the rest of the DIGIS team.

How did you come to work with DIGIS?

We searched the market, mainly through Google, and looked at multiple companies. We wanted the provider to have a presence in Ukraine because international payments are harder to make in our country. We also needed to get the project done quite quickly, and some of the companies we spoke with wanted more time.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost was 2 million Ukrainian hryvnias (around $71,737 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started looking for a company in October 2019, we found DIGIS in November of that year, and we started working with them in December. We finished the work in May 2020, and we’re not using their services now.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

DIGIS’s solution has been working for us for the last two months. We’ve increased the comfort and speed of using the platforms for both our clients and salespeople. One employee is able to do twice the work now, instead of doing the redundant job of inputting the same information into two systems.

How did DIGIS perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a few partner companies working with the database, so we were very strict in terms of deadlines. We also imposed some payment deductions for delivering late, and DIGIS agreed with this. They always answered our calls and updated us on the progress of the work. I appreciated having a single point of contact on their side.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive part for me was that they delivered on time, which programmers aren’t typically known for. I also appreciated their patience in answering our questions. There were some problems with our managers during testing, who didn’t understand how all the connections would be made. We got in touch with them, and they sorted it out quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would’ve appreciated having more transparency on what was going on, but I’m not a programmer, so I’m not sure that it’s even possible.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

It’s important for clients to know what they want to get out of the engagement. We were told a few times that this was impossible to do in our budget, or that it would be better to just create a new database instead of a connection to the old one. We were appreciative to find a company willing to do what we wanted.

**The Review** — Apr 1, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: DIGIS has effectively delivered upon their promises within the set timelines. They’ve been quick about troubleshooting and resolving errors. While they could improve their task prioritization in the development process, they’re a skilled, reliable team that can execute whatever is agreed upon.
"“They adhere to deadlines and do what they say they’re going to do.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of development at a SaaS company that provides golf-course management.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with DIGIS?

We wanted to create an app that’s integrated with our existing platform.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

DIGIS developed an app based on our existing infrastructure according to our specifications. They then automated data extraction from our platform into the app and vice versa.

The information displayed on the user’s app corresponds to their location. The app displays a map of the specific golf course that a user is on, so they can check their position on the course.

What is the team composition?

I just dealt with the project manager, but I believe there were two developers.

How did you come to work with DIGIS?

We discovered them through a freelancing site, and we were impressed by their portfolio. We were taken by their expertise after conducting an interview with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $30,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in March of 2019 and it’s an ongoing project.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve delivered us a functional platform, and they’ve been good about troubleshooting for it. They deal with issues quite quickly. The development process has been relatively smooth other than a few minor hurdles.

How did DIGIS perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very good. They adhere to deadlines and do what they say they’re going to do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They deliver what they promise in a timely manner.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, they rush to get things done, so they don’t necessarily do things in the most logical order. They’ve already received and addressed that piece of constructive criticism. That’s the only thing; generally, they’re very good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Maintain open lines of communication. Make sure you’ve properly outlined your project scope. It’s important that requirements are drawn up to avoid scope creep down the line.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We chose this vendor as another team in the company had worked with them and good recommendations of them.

Describe the project in detail.

Essentially, we added two additional engineers to our team, onboarding them for a couple of weeks and then slowly beginning to give them tasks to perform, explaining the context along the way. Slowly but surely, these individuals were able to take on more and more responsibility and independence. Today, 8 months in, we count on them for bigger projects than short term tasks. They talk to stakeholders on their own, and fulfill all the teams rituals as part of the team.

What was the team composition?

The team is composed of 6 data Engineers, as two are focused on the data collection aspect, another four are focused on BI and ETLs.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within a couple of months we could see that our backlog was reduced, and our time to deliver projects was reduced.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was effective as we brought the individuals over to our offices for two weeks to onboard to the team. The workflow after that was effective, as they participated in all our meetings and communicated when stuck.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I feel that the two individuals are team players on one hand, and are able to work remotely from the core team on the other hand. They are communicative when they are stuck, which is very helpful.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We were very satisfied with their work overall, obviously working remotely and in English isn't easy for everyone but they made it as comfortable as possible, adjusting to our hours and joining our rituals.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

Before choosing developers we have conducted extensive interviews with different vendors. DIGIS's developers showed themselves like real professionals, repeatedly confirmed this during the project.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

DIGIS applies a whole bunch of technologies and is good in each of those. DIGIS software engineers can work on multiple projects in parallel and have no problem with switching between them as they are aces in their technologies. They place right emphases on right things and set proper priorities to right tasks and components. That's what we call "correct workload balance'.

"“We haven’t had any problems working with them. They’re an outstanding company.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder of a stealth startup.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with DIGIS?

We have a group of technical founders, but we needed more hands to work on the project.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We are building a mobile app for iOS and Android. DIGIS provided a team of backend engineers to support development and they work with MongoDB and AWS. Our technical founders manage their team in-house. Now, they’re helping us find an Android developer.

What is the team composition?

We work with two backend developers.

How did you come to work with DIGIS?

One of the co-founders at DIGIS was my classmate at university. I just reached out to him and explained my needs.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $10,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2019 and our work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We only have positive feedback. Everything works well. They pulled together the team together quickly.

How did DIGIS perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been integrated into our internal systems, so we use GitHub, Jira, and Slack. We manage the development schedule on our side, but they have an assigned person who can answer our questions. They work quickly, communicate well, the documentation process went smoothly, and we haven’t had any payment problems.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Everything they create works. We haven’t had any problems working with them. They’re an outstanding company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We haven’t had any negative experiences with them and don’t have any constructive feedback.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just read the emails, respond, and speak with the people you need to get things done.

**The Review** — Dec 12, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: The team successfully delivered an MVP with minimal bugs, which has earned about 200 registrations. When bugs or issues pop up, they address them with urgency. Prioritizing regular and active communication, they effectively utilized project management tools to collaborate with their partner.
""They respond to our questions and concerns very quickly."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the creator of Vseakcii, a stock screener for beginners and advanced stock market enthusiasts who want to achieve great results in the market.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with DIGIS?

I was searching for an agency to make a product MVP.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed the MVP of my investment management platform. Prior to our partnership, we'd been working with another service provider. So, we first provided their team with the unfinished version of the MVP produced by them. I presented them with the intended designs for the app, and they got to work on the backend. They used Laravel on the backend and Angular.js on the frontend of the project.

We have documentation and source code for the MVP. However, they’re still working on the project as we make some last-minute changes.

What is the team composition?

I work with a project manager and have direct contact with the lead developer. It’s easier for me to work directly with them. When they were producing the MVP, there were 3-4 guys. At this point, we still have two developers on our account.

How did you come to work with DIGIS?

I found them on Upwork, choosing them based on their strong internal ratings. We decided that DIGIS would be the best match because they were willing to take on a rescue mission project. Not all teams are okay with finishing other code.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $50,000-$60,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There are bugs with all development projects. However, they're able to fix the bugs once they're located. I don’t have any complaints about their work. The MVP has about 200 registrations, and I’m testing its capabilities each day. When I find bugs, DIGIS corrects them in 1–2 days.

How did DIGIS perform from a project management standpoint?

They've provided the best project management I've ever experienced with a partner. We communicate via Skype and Trello, which has worked well for us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They respond to our questions and concerns very quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I’d have them improve. I’m more than happy with their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you're aiming to create an MVP at a moderate price, directly hire this agency. They make things happen.

**Feedback Summary**: Set milestones are consistently delivered on time, and the solutions are iterated on repeatedly to incorporate all feedback. DIGIS excelled at following directions and implementing requested features.
""Give them clear guidelines and instructions and they’ll get the job done."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a project manager for a virtual assistant company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with DIGIS?

They developed an iOS app for us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They built it pretty much from scratch. We had requirements in terms of the idea of design, but they executed it and created the code and the app itself. They also helped launch it. This first app allows you to modify the bass level of music you’re playing on your phone. They’re currently developing other iOS apps for us.

What is the team composition?

We normally work with three of them. They might have added more during the bass app, but I’m not sure.

How did you come to work with DIGIS?

We hired them thru Upwork.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $25,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’re working on other projects with them now, but the first app development ran from the middle of March 2019 until August 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have set milestones, and whenever they were reached they sent their progress. We would test it and provide feedback, going back and forth until it was completed.

How did DIGIS perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve done very well. We had a lot of feedback but they implemented it. There were bumps in the road at some points, but they delivered everything we needed by the end date.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of the job stood out to us. With them, once we give them instructions, they follow them, especially when creating the code.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There could a little bit better communication. There have been a few times when it was hard to get a point across, but that’s on a small scale. Everything has been accomplished.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give them clear guidelines and instructions and they’ll get the job done.

**The Review** — May 30, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: While all the initially desired features weren’t completed due to the solution’s complexity, stakeholders have started selling the product to consumers. The efficiency of DIGIS' workflow was aided by their responsive communication style.
""It was a friendly team, and there were no complications."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the CEO and founder of Opsly. We're a startup developing a self-service web platform that helps other startups use Azure cloud platforms simpler and faster because it generates infrastructure-as-code scripts and drag-and-drop architecture within the cloud best-practice framework.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire DIGIS?

We hired DIGIS to improve our self-service platform from the frontend perspective.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to create a fully functioning platform with a nice UI and a display of information on pop-ups/different screens. DIGIS would develop the AngularJS components and write the majority of the code on the Rappid framework. The solution would also include a login/register UI flow.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We found DIGIS through Upwork. They had a lot of reviews and a good reputation. Also, Nick (Managing Partner, DIGIS) was quick to find me an affordable front-end engineer in one day.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Digis developed our frontend Angular components using HTML/CSS/TypeScipt for various features such as creating a drag-and-drop functionality for cloud services. Working with our developer, they retrieved data from APIs and displayed it on the GUI, which they styled using a color theme. UI screens were created for all of the various features (e.g. architectures and environments). During the development process, they added custom widgets to solve complex logic, such as creating widgets that could handle the parsing logic of JSON schemas.

What was the team composition?

The team consisted of one frontend/Angular developer.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The product they developed is the main part of our business. It has now allowed us to start selling the solution to consumers in the market. My expectations were to have several more features done by this time, but due to complexity from unexpected issues, we didn't finish them.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We did daily standups on Skype, and we used Google Cloud Platform source repositories to store our code. The engineer was always responsive and very friendly on the calls.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It was impressive how fast they matched us with a developer. It was a friendly team, and there were no complications.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Yes, for the market rate I paid, I should have expected a more experienced developer.

**The Review** — May 14, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: The new site garnered widespread attention, generating more than 2,000 leads, securing multiple key sponsors, and streamlining communications. Internal stakeholders were so enthusiastic about DIGIS’ performance that they contracted them again to expand on the conference’s branding assets.
"“We appreciated that we could talk to the developers in person to discuss all issues.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m the conference organization team lead for Jazz Do It. Jazz Do It Conference is a conference for IT people who like to spend their holidays in style—enjoying the sun, the sea, good music, and the best speakers from around the world. We talk about web and mobile development, neural networks, cryptocurrencies, AI, and more.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire DIGIS?

We founded this niche conference for IT industry workers to move serious talks and panel discussions from gray-roofed buildings out into the open and fresh sea air. We wanted to set up a new tradition by combining serious IT discussions with sunny, cheerful vacations on the beach.

The challenge was to develop our conference site, including its server and CMS, that would match our philosophy and vision. We wanted to hook up multiple integrations/functions such as payments, email and messaging connectivity, and easy sharing to social networks among others.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to get an attractive, non-overloaded website with an efficient CMS system. This meant having maximum security due to the online payment system integrations, proper content visualization capabilities, and an infrastructure that could withstand high visitor inflow.

Additional features we wanted included the ability to monitor site-wide statistics and generate reports as well as integrating the system with email/messaging services and social networks.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We found DIGIS at a Ukrainian IT resource called Dou.ua. The idea was to find a local web development company as we wanted to visit their office, meet them in person, and discuss all the working issues with developers and project managers. We shortlisted several companies, but DIGIS offered the most cost-effective approach. They weren’t the least expensive, but they guaranteed the best quality.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

DIGIS developed our conference site, including its server and CMS. Initially, they collected all of our requirements for the site’s design and functionality as well as the CMS, noting how each should behave under certain circumstances.

From there, they scoped out the project. They drafted a comprehensive, in-depth specification document and conducted a presentation of their vision for our product’s architecture, structure, and design. To work out the schedule, we broke down the project into trackable milestones.

The team then created the site design for us to markup before developing an MVP version to test run its performance and behavior. Next, they built the CMS and linked it to the website’s frontend, integrated email and messaging services, and linked the system to social networks (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, VK, LinkedIn).

Finally, they ran tests and fixed all bugs before releasing the final product.

What was the team composition?

They assigned a project manager, an architect, a technical writer, a team lead, two developers, and a QA resource.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The developed product allowed us to attract over 2,000 leads, 300 of which purchased at least one full-event ticket to our conference. In addition, we received multiple visits from users outside of Ukraine, helping us attract some of our most respected sponsors.

The site also cut the time it took to share conference information to social networks by more than 200%. This was because we were able to send emails and text messages to specific visitors directly from the site’s admin panel. Moreover, the CMS allowed us to easily create, edit, and publish various information on the website.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Our teams are located in the same city, so it was possible for us to meet quite frequently to discuss all issues related to the project. We had the chance to talk not only to DIGIS’ management but also to their designers and developers. This helped us better explain our vision and requirements to avoid certain misunderstandings.

Nevertheless, we saw outstanding friendliness and respect from DIGIS’ side. Their management team was very attentive to our expectations, immediately addressed our desires, and communicated our requirements to the development team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We appreciated that we could talk to the developers in person to discuss any issues. We were also very impressed with the quality of the product and its speed of implementation. Another thing we liked was the strict adherence to the schedule—there were no delays in terms of software or document deliverables.

When the website was ready and released, we were absolutely happy and, after discussing certain technicalities with DIGIS, contracted them to deal with the conference brand development. This also resulted exactly as we expected. DIGIS, in turn, saw that the conference could become a player on the market, so they decided to become one of our sponsors.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We didn’t find anything that would need any enhancement or improvement. It was an absolutely perfect project from DIGIS’ side.

**The Review** — Apr 22, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: DIGIS successfully created a complex system that helps streamline and organize company processes. The talented team thoroughly met all requirements with superior deliverables and helpful service. Their strong expertise and devotion were helpful in problem-solving and a thoughtful delivery process.
""They are a loyal partner."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the managing director of AS Legal. Our main goal is to provide high-quality and timely legal assistance to corporate clients.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with DIGIS?

We had a large number of requests from clients, which was constantly increasing. We wanted to simplify and automate the workflows to manage the huge number of records and files. We needed a sole system that could work as a database, contact list, document repository, and reference guide.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

DIGIS assigned a product owner who spent some time onsite in our office to get familiar with our processes. They conducted a viability analysis and prepared detailed specifications, which we reviewed and approved. They provided us with the software architecture so we understood what it would look like. Then, we drafted a project schedule broken down by milestones.

They gave us UI wireframes to confirm the logic, and we made final designs based on those. After that, they developed a prototype, which we tested and approved. They identified every bug during testing and fixed them all.

They made integrations with email and messaging services, and they linked the system to social networks like LinkedIn and Facebook, which we use to promote our services.

Based on the test results, they updated the system and made the final build. They were involved in all the stages of the development lifecycle.

What is the team composition?

The team included up to 10 people. They provided us with not just project managers but also a product owner. We also had a technical writer, who put everything into proper English. They assigned an architect, given that it was a complex project. We had a team lead, three developers, and a QA specialist. The QA person also created some automated regression tests, which saved us time when implementing certain functionalities.

How did you come to work with DIGIS?

We screened 18 companies with our main focus being to find one that could learn our process and care about the project. We wanted a small- to medium-sized provider, similar to our company. We found DIGIS on a freelancing platform and looked at their feedback. We requested a quotation, which was agreeable to us. We’re also based in Ukraine so we went to their office in Odessa to meet them in person and signed the contract during this meeting.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost of the deliverables was $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with DIGIS in August 2016, and the project ended in October 2018. They continue to maintain our system.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I would recommend this company, and I’d give them perfect marks for quality. Everything was as we required and expected, and they adhered to the schedule strictly. The final deliverables were provided on time, and they met the budget as well.

How did DIGIS perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated by phone on occasion, but we mainly used Skype for communication. We also created a Slack channel. We had meetings with the project manager a couple of times per week and with the team once a week when they provided us with a presentation.

We had a Scrum-like process. We suggested using Jira, but they convinced us that Asana was more flexible. I’d never heard about it, but we started using it and I liked it. They created a board for us in Asana, where they assigned tickets. We started with Skype chats and Slack, and they convinced us slowly that it would be better to leave our feedback directly in the tickets.

They used another tool for time logging but only internally on their side. They extracted the data into a Google spreadsheet and sent it to us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Everything was organized. We were able to discuss technical issues with all the developers assigned to us, and the quality and speed of work were impressive. They adhered to the project schedule. They are a loyal partner.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would advise them to introduce more procedures, but that could reduce their flexibility. This is something we weren’t looking for in the beginning; we just wanted to find an agile team.

I only hope that they’ll continue to provide the same level of dedication to the customer after they’ve grown to twice or three times their current size. For now, they’re doing great.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Clients should be well prepared for the communication with the provider. We had an idea and plan in the beginning, but we would’ve probably saved some time if we described what we wanted in more detail. DIGIS helped us with this, but we should’ve tried to describe it better. We had some contradictory requirements coming from our side, but DIGIS had the right experience and helped us resolve this conflict within our team. I saw the system one way, and I eventually found that my partner had a different view. It’s better to be on the same page before hiring someone.

""DIGIS provided us with a confidence boost."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I’m a senior manager at PwC. I’m responsible for digital services and software development.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire DIGIS?

DIGIS was hired for staff augmentation to support our software development project.

What were your goals for this project?

We were developing an application for managing contract information. It was a CRUD application with additional business logic for validation.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We requested their services after a web search and looking through their staff’s descriptions.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

DIGIS supplied two of their team members to create a distinct feature within the software. Their work included D3.js reports, information listing, rendering PDF.js, filtering logic, and configuring the design of screens.

What was the team composition?

Along with their two developers, we used a tester, a product manager, and two developers from our team. As soon as the product stabilized, we scaled to only one of their developers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The product was launched on time and implemented in various scenarios. DIGIS managed capacities and reacted quickly to requests.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Our side managed the entire process. Their developers needed our clear instructions and requirements to handled tasks. Unfortunately, developers were replaced without our consent at the time, so productivity was affected. Thankfully, this didn’t impact the results overall.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their team was concerned about the success of our project. Our business partners were friendly and helpful. If we had a chance of a higher workload, we knew we could scale up if needed. DIGIS provided us with a confidence boost.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Sometimes during our calls, there were instances of background noises. The scrum calls were better when they talked in a private area or had headsets. Although their team is trained from a technological perspective, their staff should focus on collaborative and communication skills.

We needed to develop our app further including new functionalities, a more robust backend, and a new screen design.

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted to create a unique, well-loved app.

**SOLUTION**

We had a call, discussed the project specifics and pricing, and started working together the next week.

Describe the project in detail.

They're optimizing the iOS app’s backend and improving our existing design and functionality. They've implemented an algorithm that recommends movies to people based on reviews from their friends, which involved a lot of design and backend work. They also provide SEO services and obtained an SSL certificate.

What was the team composition?

Firstly, I discussed the project with the project manager and explained what I needed. Based on that, they identified an appropriate designer, backend developer, and iOS developer. Subsequently, I needed an SEO specialist and an admin resource for SSL certificates, all of whom were provided by the project manager.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We launched a new version last week and it’s doing very well. Since DIGIS came on in November, our user base increased from 270 to 604. The app now looks much more appealing than it did. We’ve become the first platform of our kind.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Despite our lack of documentation from previous developers, it’s been very good. They understand where we’re coming from and speak directly, letting me know if there’s a better way to accomplish a certain goal.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to work with both large corporations and startups around the world is outstanding. I desperately needed quality developers that would stick with me, and I’m certain DIGIS will do just that.

Are there any areas for improvement?

They often apologize for not responding right away, but non-urgent requests can always wait I don’t expect instant answers to them. When it comes to urgent requests, they always respond (and sometimes even solve the issue) within five minutes.

Senior Contractor Manager, Dals Media

- Review Type: Phone Interview

**The Review** — Feb 13, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: DIGIS delivered a platform that connects 27 distinct digital properties for cohesive and simplified content management. The product and source code they produced was completely flawless. Responsive, communicative, and prompt, the team provided a high ROI.
"“Our communication was perfect. The project manager was available 24/7.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a senior contractor manager at Dals Media. Our large media company collects content to publish for our readers. We have multiple bases of subscribers on Facebook and other social networks. I’m responsible for working with the contractors we source for our projects.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with DIGIS?

Our company needed a platform to combine our 27 websites so we could manage them from a single location. It was difficult and inconvenient to pay seven content managers to review and publish content on all our channels using the latest commands. We decided to hire a team to develop a single location that could combine all our offerings.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We sent over all the requirements for our project. Based on a backend analysis they conducted, DIGIS decided on an architectural migration from legacy technology to Microservices. We checked the plan for viability before proceeding.

DIGIS took our APIs to integrate into the server portion. They developed the administrative component and integrated it with the frontend. The two portions needed reliable connectivity in between.

Through the platform, all 27 of our company’s websites run on the same technology and connect to the same backend. It includes tools with comprehensive management capabilities for all our content.

Each integration goes through our server, and the server storage is all hosted in a single location. The team also set up mirroring to prevent any failures and outages.

Our contract with DIGIS is complete at this point, but we reach out to them for technical support and bug fixes.

What is the team composition?

The team included eight developers, a technical writer, an architect, a couple of QA testers and DevOps specialists, and a project manager.

How did you come to work with DIGIS?

We contacted 20 companies we found on Clutch and shortlisted about 6–7. After researching each option and comparing prices and scheduling, we chose DIGIS. They offered great prices and a suitable schedule.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested over $1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January 2015–August 2017.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have a single complaint about the quality of DIGIS’s source code and products. They produced a deliverable that aligned with all our requirements.

How did DIGIS perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked together using the Agile methodology. We split the entire project into milestones, each with a required deliverable at the end.
DIGIS was always responsive. Our communication was perfect. The project manager was available 24/7. He never allowed more than 30 minutes to pass before responding to our emails or phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality to cost ratio DIGIS provided was impressive. They offered very competitive prices and adhered to the schedule we set. Based on our research, we had expected higher costs. We had the option to speak to the developers directly, who were very helpful and responsive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In the beginning, we had some misunderstandings that caused the deliverables to be two days late. We discussed the issue with the product and project manager, and they agreed not to allow this again. I recommend they develop a program to account for each deliverable to send and what it needs to contain.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend working with DIGIS.  Anyone considering working with them should discuss the project in detail. Writing down all your requirements, expectations, and requests will help prevent misunderstandings.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted a flexible and agile team that could provide specialists capable of handling our project.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

I searched for agencies on Upwork. After a short discussion, I gave them a minor project. I was happy with that results, so I extended the partnership.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

Do IT Programming Solutions provided a well-rounded team to develop the frontend and backend for several applications. They developed two webs using Angular 1 and Angular 5. In the backend, they used Java with MongoDB, a SQL database, and microservice architecture. They’re about to start working on corresponding native mobile versions for Android and iOS devices. They’re going to use Fuse for the iOS build.

What was the team composition?

We’ve worked with anywhere from 1–6 back- and frontend developers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Despite some initial obstacles, we settled in with a team of sound developers that are highly committed to our project.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We use Wrike to create, assign, and track tickets for each task. We have daily scrum meetings with additional discussions if necessary. We’ve improved our system since the beginning of our partnership. Now, we’re more efficient in discussing and prioritizing our workload.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

There was a significant amount of turnover in their staff. We lost one developer to unforeseen circumstances, and we had to replace another due to sub-par performance and communication. I was impressed with their seamless onboarding process; we were never delayed.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

They were very accommodating when we requested a new teammate, but I would’ve liked them to staff our project correctly the first time. Aside from those instances, the rest of the project was good.

I’m a senior project manager at a company that integrates AI solutions with natural language processing for business use.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Do IT Programming Solutions?

As a startup with limited resources, tight budgets, and pressing timelines, we had to find a smart and efficient way to ramp up our capacity.

We were looking to create and implement a new UI design for a recently added section of our portal that allows users to create and personalize a profile.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

My only suggestion is to be even more proactive. They shouldn't hesitate to come forward with ideas and proposals on solutions.

Founder, Kartunix

- Review Type: Phone Interview

**The Review** — Oct 20, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: The site reaches 400 visitors a day, and feedback from users has been positive. Do IT's team was able to develop the site in a short period of time, allowing for a quick launch and extra time for improvements. The team collaborates in sprints and is available on weekends, which sets them apart.
""They do things outside the budget because they dig hard into the project."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the founder of Kartunix, an online-based avatar creator. You can cartoon yourself as your online logo for your social profiles or for printing it on items such as t-shirts, hoodies, and mugs.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Do IT?

I needed a functioning website with little investment. The challenge was to create a gainable vector graphic engine that allowed me to not only create the avatars but also export them in any dimension. Creating this engine was the big challenge. I had a company that did the design, a third-party illustrator to create the avatars, and I was searching for somebody who could put it all together.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our website. Its database is MongoDB, which is object-oriented and important for our application. We have NGINX as the web server and Angular as the programming language. We have a special library to design the t-shirts, and we’re using various technologies to make it all happen.

What is the team dynamic?

There were four programmers in the beginning. As the program comes to an end, we’re down to one expert who follows the project.

How did you come to work with Do IT?

It was a long search. I found a good design company from Ukraine, and they told me Do IT were young, open, and reliable, so I went to see them in Odessa.

How much have you invested with them?

$25,000–$30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2015, and the work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We launched a month ago. We have 60 different collections of avatars, 10 different sets of icons to print on, and PayPal integration. When we started to advertise with Google AdWords, we had about 400 visitors a day. For just starting, that was great.

The target audience for this type of service is kids between 8–16 years old. My own children think it’s awesome, and their whole school is on the site and buying these items.

How did Do IT perform from a project management standpoint?

We collaborate in sprints, which works well, and we use Trello. We can reach them on the weekends.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They delivered in a very short time. In three days, everything was done. Because of this, I could further develop the idea. Plus, they never stop improving. When it's time to go to the next step, they're open and give suggestions. They’re not only here for the money but also because they want to make it happen. They do things outside the budget because they dig hard into the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes we have language barriers on the phone or Skype, and we have to write it up again. It’s minor, however, because, in the end, they understand. They’re also not good at documenting, so their bookkeeping department needs to improve. Their main service works but the back office is lagging.

CFO, CRMtronic

**The Review** — Jul 28, 2017

**Feedback Summary**: Do IT helped the project run seamlessly and efficiently. Their dedication has helped the team avoid development issues throughout the project. Though a language barrier was present and there was some ambiguity in recorded hours, Do IT communicated succinctly and resolved issues quickly.
""While they do a good job as a software company, I also like Do IT’s ability to act as a part of the team.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

My name is Martin Steinbrecher, and I am the CFO of CRMtronic. We provide a cloud-based CRM [customer relationship management] system using the latest technologies and modern UIs, which helps businesses resolve their tasks.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Do IT Programming Solutions?

The idea of our product is to involve AI [artificial intelligence] into basic CRM processes. We integrate top-level analytics, and, while CRM development is challenging as it is, combining it with AI is more complicated. Do IT has been able to understand our business technologies quickly, and has handled any challenges we provided.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

The main task was to combine a basic CRM with AI. It was a full software development cycle which included frontend and backend work, design, UX planning, and quality assurance [QA]. The technology stack included AngularJS on the frontend, Node.js on the backend, and MongoDB as the database.

The most complicated part of the work was creating the AI which combines with our CRM. Another challenge was maintaining compatibility with all common browsers. Many companies develop only for Google Chrome and Firefox, but we wanted Do IT to create a product which also worked on Opera, Safari, and even Edge. The tool is being sold to clients.

What is the team dynamic?

I am not sure how large the team was exactly, but it included 6-7 people from Do IT’s side: 2 backend and 2 frontend developers, a designer, a QA resource, and a project manager. At one point, we needed to involve additional QAs for some parts of the project.

How did you come to work with Do IT Programming Solutions?

I got in touch with them at a local IT event which was sponsored by Do IT. We visited their website, looked at some testimonials, and contacted some references.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested about $300,000 for the first part of the scope. There were some additional features which we tasked Do IT with, which increased the total cost.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Do IT in March 2014. We continue to maintain the product using their team.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

CRMtronic itself is the best evidence of our success, which was developed with the Do IT team. Our clients have liked the solution.

How did Do IT Programming Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Based on the discussions we’ve had with Do IT’s managers, we decided to move ahead with the Agile sprint methodology. They handled all project management on their side, while we acted as the product owner. The communication remained clear and lean, with no superfluous discussions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

While they do a good job as a software company, I also like Do IT’s ability to act as a part of the team. They’re not simply committing hours, but also try to understand what our request is, and why we would or wouldn’t need a particular part. Do IT’s project management was very good, and has helped us avoid some mistakes in the development process.

Are there any areas they could improve?

On a few occasions, we would have communicated better with some members of the technical team, but not all of them speak good English. This was a problem at times, but the managers were able to quickly solve it.

The time-tracking system is not perfect. I would like to know exactly why additional hours were used, and how they were spent. We do get explanations later on, but I would rather see the details in a more explicit manner.

"“They always deliver what they promise, and they are always on time.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of Alpha Crew Group, a manning service provider for the full fleet shipping industry.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Do IT Programming Solutions?

About 3 or 4 years ago, we started searching for a company that will provide us with IT services. We wanted to automate our systems.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Do IT is doing the whole cycle of IT services for us. We have 1 project manager, 8 developers, and some QA resources who help test the code.

Our first project was big, and Do IT helped us figure out the specifications for the platform. It’s a kind of ERP [enterprise resource planning] or CRM [customer relationship management] system. The platform helps us maintain full crew rotation on board the different vessels that we manage. It also allows us to liaise with different suppliers when we need to purchase spare parts. Do IT developed the software using Node.js and Angular. In some cases, they used Golang. Our database is MongoDB.

Last year, we asked Do IT to deliver mobile applications for our internal use — it’s easier for our crews to use cell phones to perform their duties. At the moment, Do IT is creating new features according to our requests. They also help us maintain the platform.

How did you come to work with Do IT Programming Solutions?

We met their sales team at an exhibition in Germany. We went to Ukraine to visit their offices. Although we looked at several companies, we decided to move forward with Do IT.

How much have you invested with Do IT Programming Solutions?

So far, we have spent more than €1,200,000 [$1,396,914].

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in 2010, and the work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Currently, the software is being used onboard the vessels that we’re operating and managing. The code is of high quality. There are bugs sometimes, but Do IT’s team fixes any issues quickly.

With Do IT’s help, our business has grown faster than ever before. I’m sure we will continue to use Do IT in the future.

How did Do IT Programming Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is very good. We don’t need to coordinate our activities or speak directly to the developers. Instead, we just speak to our project manager, who then translates our business logic in a way that can be understood by the developers. I can call them or send emails.

What did you find most impressive about Do IT Programming Solutions?

They always deliver what they promise, and they are always on time. That is extremely important in our business because we are also engaged in iterations with a different group.

Are there any areas Do IT Programming Solutions could improve?

No. We are satisfied with their prices and the quality of their work.

Their platform seamlessly integrates with several APIs, which brought positive feedback about usability. The team at Do IT is accommodating, very seldom misses deadlines, and they work well with non-technical teams.
""They delivered everything I expected and more.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are running a recruitment platform which uses machine learning and AI for marching profiles. There are 12 people working for our company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Do IT Programming Solutions?

We provided the same service in the beginning as we do now, but it was done manually, which was time-consuming. We needed to find help from a good company, instead of recruiting internally, which would have taken us a year.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Do IT was asked to build my entire web platform, and every separate part of the technology which went into it. Most of the development has been done with Ruby on Rails and Java for the AI. We use MongoDB for the database.

Our AI functionality was challenging to build. It needed to handle a multitude of data points, and we had to come up with a solution which would reduce server bandwidth.

How did you come to work with Do IT Programming Solutions?

I reached out to a few friends, browsed the web for a while, and met with 10-15 companies. I was trying to find a company closeby, and had had good experiences with ones from Ukraine; the average quality there is high. I met with Do IT’s principal, who helped me find a solution for building on a larger scale from day 1, and not being required to change anything later. They helped me create a good MVP, but also considered what could be a good next step.

How much have you invested with Do IT Programming Solutions?

The cost of their work has been above $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Do IT in November 2016. We continue to work together constantly.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

People have really liked our platform. We connect with a number of APIs seamlessly, which allows them to see a lot of real-time information. We had some bugs and issues in the beginning, and there are some to fix still, but the general performance has been good.

How did Do IT Programming Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

I have only worked with one person in their team, so I can’t give comments overall, but our resource has been very good. We usually communicate using Skype, where we have weekly video calls. The timeline has fluctuated by a couple of days from time to time, but this is normal. Compared to other developers, Do IT has delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive about Do IT Programming Solutions?

I like their working style and project management. Do IT has handled this from a business point of view, which meant that I didn’t have to be extremely tech-savvy to work with them.

Are there any areas Do IT Programming Solutions could improve?

Not everyone on the team was perfect, but we managed to change them and work with the ones I wanted.

""I believe they really care about our team.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of user experience for a consultancy based in Austin, Texas with locations across the US and Europe. We focus on business process management through building customer enterprise software solutions on a few different enterprise process orchestration platforms known as BPM.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Do IT Programming Solutions?

We wanted to be able to iterate quickly and cost-efficiently on various prototypes. Right now, we’re in a quickly changing technical landscape. Depending on the customer and the opportunity, we need the ability to build prototypes quickly. Those prototypes might be frontends for new technologies like different machine learning systems or frontends that are specific to a given domain. For example, if the customer is an insurance company, we’re looking to pitch a larger solution that will cover applying a certain new technology to their use case. We pursue a variety of different opportunities at the same time, and not all of them will pan out, but we want to put our best foot forward in terms of creating prototypes and demos that will look good in the RFP process.

Do IT builds our UI prototypes, so they’re supporting us in the frontend development. Our internal organization is more focused on providing products that we offer and offering support from production perspectives. Do IT has been working with a few of our people internally, primarily from our sales team.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

All of their work has been focused on UI development. We started by doing a little Angular development, which is a frontend framework, and then moved into some more specific frontend libraries like D3. Currently, they’ve been helping us build different prototypes on Service Now as well as Salesforce. We’ve used them specifically for UI and are potentially looking to use them for backend work, but we haven’t gotten there yet.

How many resources have been assigned to your project?

Right now, we just have 2 resources. We had up to 5 at once. In total, we worked with 7 or 8 of their developers, along with the 2 principals, Oilex and Nikita.

How did you come to work with Do IT Programming Solutions?

We found them on Upwork. We tried working with different teams. In the past, I’d worked quite a bit with outsourcing organizations in different geographies and struggled with some that were located in India, but we had more success with China-based firms. We have a few folks on the team now that have worked on similar technology, and they actually live in the US but are from Ukraine. We started looking at that geography and exploring different organizations that could support us. We tried interacting with individuals at first, thinking about potentially building a team. We eventually tried a few companies and found Do IT.

I like our interaction with Nikita, who’s a principal there. He comes across as less of a sales person and more of an advisor, which is refreshing compared to some of the other experiences I’ve had. I believe they really care about our team. They shared some marketing materials with us as far as their training perspective, and I appreciated that.

How much have you invested with Do IT Programming Solutions?

We’ve spent $120,000 so far with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in July of 2016, and the work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

Our general sale cycles are about a year in length. Everything we start investing in from a sales perspective takes a very long time, and the deals are generally worth millions of dollars or more. We launched a product recently that they helped with significantly. Part of our organization in Europe is deploying that product with a few customers there.

From a qualitative perspective, Do IT has helped us start producing demos and sales assets using technologies that we didn’t have the time for ourselves. Things like Service Now and Salesforce are not major components of our business or BPM software, so from an investment perspective, being able to start building know-how in those areas in order to get deals is expensive because we have to hire full-time resources in the US who are experts in these domains. With Do IT’s expertise in these technologies, we’ve been actually able to get small sales gigs before needing to invest in full-time resources in that domain. That’s allowed us to explore technologies at a very low cost from an investment perspective.

How did Do IT Programming Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Since the team included up to 5 people at the peak, we’ve handled the project management. They provided more team leadership. Our first interactions with Nikita and the way he helped us pick the best resources indicated that they’d excel. We just haven’t quite grown to need that many resources to justify moving project management to their office.

We primary communicate through Skype. We’ve also been using our project management software called Rally, which is now CA. They’d never used it before and were happy to figure it out, and they got pretty productive with it. Our Scrum masters break down the user stories and assign them. Do IT broke those items down into tasks and actually worked on them.

What did you find most impressive about Do IT Programming Solutions?

I’ve worked with a lot of outsourcing firms that come across as body shops. Do IT tried to create their own culture. When I’m interacting with people on the team, I never feel like they’re there just to put in the hours. They care about doing a good job for their company. That was refreshing. They also have little recruitment videos and things like that to explain the organization’s uniqueness. I think that’s beneficial from a productivity perspective as well.

Are there any areas Do IT Programming Solutions could improve?

Sometimes, the engineers’ skill set wasn’t completely aligned with the team. They could provide a more structured way for breaking down what each individual does. On Upwork, they have different ratings based on different exams illustrating how competent they are in different areas. It sounds like Do IT is actually doing some of that internally. They actually do testing specific to JavaScript or a given framework, but that doesn’t come across in some of the information that they presented about their resources. This only happened once or twice, and I was able to correct it pretty quickly and find another person to fit the role. If they offered more information as far as what each individual excels at and what kind of credentials that person has, I think the setup process would be a bit smoother.
