We hired Difrnt because we wanted someone tobe in charge of all the PPC department, from creating a strategy to implementing and reporting on it. Key deliverables:

We needed a partner to help with a fresh view on creatives for paid advertising and a complete strategy, both technical and content driven SEO plan. Key deliverables: 

• SEO technical implementation plan + execution with their developers as well

• PPC strategy for Google Search ADS

We grew our sales with up to 30% since same period last year. Our SEO efforts lead to a 80% increase in not-branded traffic. PPC became more effective due to better creatives. We noticed an increase in conversion rates and engagement.

Sure, there is always room for improvement. I believe their internal communication could be better. Sometimes I was discussing a topic with one of the members and the others did not know about that. Maybe some more debriefing in their team?

DIFRNT agency was our main supplier of digital & development services. We worked with them for all possible projects, from the development of our client apps (website + ecommerce) to video production, design & PPC. With their help we reached 2M EUR in yearly sales in just 2 years.

Considering we were a startup, I find that astonishing. They delivered extremely great work with the clients app. I felt that we had our own product management team in-house. They delivered over 30 videos, for ADS & influencer marketing.

We used slack to communicate. We had a special slack workspace created with their team and 1-2 members for each channel (example - video or dev). They responded pretty quickly. I think we wouldn't have worked with them otherwise as we always had pressure from our investors to move fast and requested the same from our partners. Very creative team. We switched creatives on PPC every 2 weeks and it was a tough job to keep up. They did amazing work.

Creativity first - lots of ideas thrown at us They got involved in the business too and wanted to know why we do specific actions so they have a full picture at all times.

I believe they can do a better job on QA for web development. Every client app errors meant lost revenue for our startup. It's tough to be perfect when building a product from scratch but errors can be seen with great QA.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to reach a specific audience considering that we provide a financial service targeting high net worth individuals working in corporations such as CEO's, CFO's Debt Collection Managers or salespersons in order to pitch them our enterprise version of the product.

How did you select this vendor?

I was in charge of finding a digital agency and to be honest, it was not an easy task. We specifically wanted to work with a team who is able to understand our business and build a growth strategy based on our KPI's. After meeting with a couple of agencies trying to sell us their services, I was impressed to see that the Difrnt team asked lots of questions regarding our business processes and clients. They've spent 1 month with us in order to understand everything that we do, and only then started working on a digital strategy for launching our product. Even though they are not offering consulting services, I believe this is their competitive advantage in this red ocean of digital agencies.

The scope of work was to:

• create an online campaign for launching Confidas, targeting decision makers working in corporations.
• build the digital strategy for the next 6 months.

The main channels were LinkedIn, Facebook & E-mail marketing. They did great work in the implementation of an e-mail automation software (Active Campaign) so that we can send personalized e-mails to customers who land on our website. In terms of creative, their team was crazy enough to come up with a bunch of creative video ads used in Remarketing campaigns on Facebook. Basically, we knew what was the point where people got stuck in our website and we were following them with personalized short videos across multiple channels to make them come back on the platform and finish the on-boarding process. It was brilliant.

What was the team composition?

As far as I understood, they work in squads and during our collaboration, we've worked 5 of their team members (Digital Strategist, PPC, SEO, Creative Director, and the founders). They don't have an account manager but instead use a slack channel. Therefore, every time I had a question, I simply asked it on slack and someone would answer in a matter of minutes.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Their digital strategy helped us reach a total of 200 k unique visits on our website in just a few months so gained a lot of visibility and our first enterprise client came without any selling effort. Our website is now ranked in the top 500 fastest growing websites from Romania.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We worked very well together using Asana to organize our work & Slack to communicate. Nothing else to add here.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

As I've mentioned above, I was impressed by their genuine interest in understanding our business. You wouldn't expect from a digital agency to have consultancy competencies in-house. Also, their mindset is very open to accepting new ideas&perspectives. After you meet them, you feel that there's a certain kind of young & crazy culture inside their workplace. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Patience. Their mindset is to get things done fast, but sometimes it's not the best thing to do.
